What an amazing place!! I can thoroughly recommend using the Reptile Range. As a family that had no experience of amphibians (& a super enthusiastic 10 year sons who was praying for one every night for a year) Sandy supported us through the whole experience. From amphibian welfare, to equipment & on-going after care support... she has been incredible!! We bought a White's Tree Frog from Reptile Ranch & he/she (too early to tell!) has brought us all great pleasure! I never thought I would find a frog cute!! Massive thank you to Sandy & her team!!

Animals were healthy and staff were very clear and helpful. They made sure the juvenile crested gecko we got was going into a good environment and that we had every thing ready. The gecko is doing well, gaining around one gram a week, daily wet powder diet and occasional gut loaded medium crickets :)

Wonderful place specialised in Reptiles and arachnids like tarantulas and scorpions and Insects both prey Insects and pet Insects, they are wonderful because they breed their own Reptiles and handle them everyday. The handling was very clear to me because my baby lizard was very docile as a baby and normally when you tame baby lizards it's much harder work when not handled and sandy handles them so well she even let me handle my baby lizard before I bought him and set up the vivarium for me. They sell the equipment you'll need to care and accommodate your animal as well, it is advisable to drive so you can get the vivarium home safely and have a passenger in the seat to have a safe container for your lizard or reptile, if the animal is really big or is Arachnid whether tarantula or scorpion or insect ask sandy the shop owner for further advice, when driving home expect them to be a little anxious in the car particularly if they are babies as they would have never left the shop before. Never put your lizard, reptile, tarantula or scorpion, or other insect in the vivarium when driving, it is too dangerous when driving particularly if something goes wrong but also In case your lizard, reptile, scorpion, tarantula or insect is not used to the car environment and they could injure themselves if they panick. When you get home whether it's a baby or adult, do try to feed them in the vivarium but don't be suprised if they don't eat at first as they need to settle in their new home. Let them settle at least a week in their vivarium before attempting to gain their trust and then try to gently touch them in a non threatening way ask sandy for further details on how to not scare your animal once your animal is comfortable with your touch, handle them slowly expect the baby lizard, reptile to occasionally jump off your hand so have a safe empty bucket for them to jump in if need be and just go from there if you have a tarantula or scorpion DO NOT HANDLE without the shop owners advice depending on species it could be really docile or could be aggressive and in terms of scorpions generally the thinner the tail and pincers the more venomous therefore the harsher the sting. If you have any questions or need advice for your reptile, tarantula, scorpion or insect just ask sandy or john they are truly wonderful at giving advice. Also ask sandy about enrichment for the animal it is important to have mental stimulation for the animal so they don't get bored you can even get new enrichment or move the enrichment around so they don't get bored if your animal eats Insects you should gave live ones if you don't want to touch them you can get tweezers, this stimulates their natural instincts and gives them exercise it also prevents boredom and lathargy. With baby animals it's okay to hand feed to get them to trust you but don't do it for too long as from personal experience the lizard will get lazy and lathargic because they expect you to hand feed them and won't chase their prey be careful they don't mistake your hand for their food particularly if your hands smell of it. Unless it's live Insects for lizards. To have live prey for snakes or other Reptiles is illegal all prey like mice or rabbits must already be dead when you feed them to your animals. I'm sorry if I go Into massive detail but I really care for animals safety and welfare do NOT replace sandy and John's advice with mine I'm not a reptile, arachnid or insect specialist, I'm just someone who did my L2 Animal Care Diploma.

Very friendly, affable and trustworthy. Informative without a hint of arrogance. Not treated like a customer more like a long lost friend. Would not go anywhere else. The place is kept clean none of that usual pet shop odour. Good quality items and live food. If I could give them 6 stars I would. I only know the name of one of the staff and that's Sandy.. she's brill'..the other person (bloke) is really nice but not as good looking!!!

I got a gorgeous little horsefield tortoise from Sally, complete with a tortoise table and other essential bits for a first-timer basking lamp/bulb, wooden hide, water dishes, temperature gauge, tortoise soil, cuttle fish bones, faux decorative plant and tortoise care guide. Sally and her husband have continued to be very helpful, even setting my timer for the basking lamp (as I hadn't used one before) Very easy to locate the shop & i'd recommend them again

We’ve found a tiny, cute Mediterranean Gecko inside a wooden crate coming from Italy and we went to Reptile Ranch with hundreds of questions, as we’ve never had to look after a cutie like that: we’ve found two passionate, caring, gentle, amazing people! They answered all our questions and also gave us a nice gift. We went back home with some “delicious” food for our Gennarino and something special to make his place cosy 😄 They made our day! I love this reptile shop!! The owners have a vast knowledge of the reptiles they sell. They are welcoming of all questions and will happily explain all details you need for your reptile. I drive over half hour each way for snake food etc and every mile is worth it for the service and quality you receive. I bought a baby corn snake from them around 18 months ago and he was around 1/1.5 feet when I got him, he is now over 3 foot long, LOVES his food and I've never had an issue with him feeding. Am looking into getting another snake from Reptile Ranch soon :)....just got to convince the misses

When I first went to the reptile ranch, the knowledgeable Sandy helped me (a reptile novice) to get to grips with the world of reptiles. She welcomed me to the shop and gave me great advice for my leopard gecko. She supported me through my owner journey, and my gecko and I are doing fine. The facilities were great and the animals were happy and healthy. I currently have a bioactive setup which is thriving thanks to the kit Sandy provided where my gecko explores and hunts happily. Really great shop and wonderful, helpful staff. We bought our tortoise from here and were given plenty of information and advice, and were encouraged to call or pop in if we had any questions. We had some issues with the light set-up after a couple of weeks; Sandy was super accommodating and replaced all parts along with reassurances that we could come back any time if we had any further issues. Everything is perfect now and our tort is very happy. Can highly recommend.

Wonderful little shop! The art is welcoming and outstanding! Just as outstanding as the nifty little shop inside! I have bought several reptiles from this handy shop. The beautiful little leopard gecko from my profile picture was raised in this little reptile home. This shop is always my go-to shop, purely because it is handy, welcoming, and wonderful! Every reptile gets the best care in their homes - not houses, wonderful homes until a wonderful owner comes to take care of them and spend all their time with them. my girlfriend and I went in to the store just to have a look at a future pet, with no intention to buy one. Sandy was so kind and helpful, she let us handle a few animals and talked us through the needs of each one, and helped us make the jump into caring for a leopard gecko. she have us lots of support and was always so polite when we came in either just to look and get ideas about how we want to set our vivarium up, or to answer any questions or concerns we had. she also gave us a little care sheet which she wrote up on the day we took home our gecko which was a nice touch. highly recommend the reptile ranch, and we are already considering our 2nd reptile! :D

Brilliant staff - Sandy's and John's shop is the real deal! Ordered a custom viv from there and was able to pick it up within two weeks. Also bought my first snake there a few years ago. Recently bought a lovely leopard gecko with a big appetite! I can't stress enough how amazing Sandy and John are. I go here for anything I need reptile related. Absolutely amazing place! John and Sandy really know their stuff. It has always been our go to place for exotics. The shop is clean and the animals well looked after while they are in Reptile Ranch's care. It's a great place to buy exotic pets. While in the shop we saw they offered party experiences, so I booked one of their experiences for a school visit. We had John and Sandy come in to school and give the children an experience they would never forget. Both John and Sandy were very engaging and they had two classes of children, jaws dropped in amazement, dying to know what they were going to bring out to meet them next. We met Royal Pythons, bearded dragons, a Chameleon, a huge Burmese Python called Dora and of course got to experience the absolute wonder of Tortoise racing, with Woger, Barbwa and Bwian! It truly was something the children will never forget. The animals themselves were really friendly and all of the children were able to have a photo taken with them. We have some brilliant shots of them holding the Burmese in absolute awe! If you are thinking of doing something a little different for your child's birthday, or are looking to get an engaging and educational visit for your school then I couldn't recommend Reptile Ranch highly enough. John and Sandy are engaging presenters, have a wealth of knowledge about their animals and expertly answer all of the children's questions in a friendly and informative manner. The price they charge are incredibly reasonable too...we will certainly be inviting them back to school for another visit. You should too!

They have a fb page where they update on things often like special events or updates on animals or live food delivery etc. It is pretty small and cosy reptile store I would say. We have been to the reptile ranch twice and have found Sandy extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We bought a corn snake there this week and are really pleased with it and it has a fantastic little strike! Excellent shop with best customer services I've experienced, Sandy and John both really helpful spent ages with me and my children answering questions and letting my son handle the reptiles whilst deciding what to get, have since bought a bearded dragon and Herman's tortoise and both have brilliant, both John and Sandy helped me every step making sure I was happy with everything and guiding me through even with needing a custom viv built. It's great. Sandy was really patient with my 10yo daughter who was buying her first cornsnake. Even though we didn't get there until 10mins before closing time on Sat Sandy kept the shop open until my daughter had run out of questions. She was allowed to handle several snakes until she was able to decide on one that she really liked. We were told that we could phone up if we had any questions or needed any advice.This is clearly a shop where the owners really know and love what they are doing. All the animals we saw looked in great condition and if you are thinking about buying a reptile I can't recommend this shop highly enough. (I am so glad we didn't go to pet at home!!) PS They have just started doing kids reptile handling parties which sound great fun if your kids are brave enough.

I must say I am a bit bios towards this shop, as I like tropical Fish. The Tanks and fish are well displayed, I have never seen a dead fish in any tank Every type of fish and accessory is priced, more importantly to me, is, the compressive information on what / how the fish's will get on with other fish in the tank I.E leaving in a community. There are plenty of helpful and knowledgeable staff to help you and give you advise. If this is the first time, for you to set up an aquarium, I would strongly recommend you pay a visit to this shop . I would recommend you go with plenty of time to spare, have the measurements possibly of the size of the tank, and some idea of what fish you are going to keep. Best Wishes. James.

100% Customer satisfaction. The Reptile Ranch is accountable, ethical, professional, knowledgeable and most of all - friendly. After experiencing the down side of the Reptile business with greedy and unscrupulous businesses- I can honestly say that the Reptile Ranch is exactly the opposite. Sandy and John couldn’t be more helpful. Their knowledge and experience is evident throughout their ranch. I have set up a standing order of live food for my beardie - and am happy to support them rather than buying it off the internet. Any other bits and bobs I need, I am confident I can ring up and ask them to order it on my behalf - whether it be a reflector for the viv or some new calciworms. Last week John and Nige entertained at my daughters 5th birthday party. They were incredible! The kids had a great time - as did the adults - and got to touch, hold and find out about a range of reptiles. John and Nige were funny and patient (this was a group of excited six year olds!) and the kids learnt so much. Sandy and John also sorted out my son's birthday present for me, a Herman tortoise. They sorted out the full set up and gave me lots of advice and I know I can rely on them for any after care. Such a great shop and when I told my vet that's where we went to he raved about Sandy and John and how knowledgble and trustworthy they are. The best place for any reptile needs for sure.

This is a lovely little reptile store. They specialise in reptiles and have much knowledge of the animals. If you have a reptile or would like one. I suggest you pop down and have a look. If you ARE looking into a reptile, to have for yourself, definitely purchase it here as they supply very healthy pets from expert breeders and suppliers. Unlike large nation wide pet stores that have a wide variety of all animals and do not have much knowledge around them.
