Good library, very friendly and helpful people. So many books to read. Nice coffee. Very good quality free wifi. One toilet - hmmmm😐.

Great place, good selection of books, really comfortable seating and there is a coffee house! Wonderful spot.

It's been so easy to use the library's facilities to work for a day. I was able to get a library card with just my passport which granted me access to unlimited wifi, computers, charging my laptop, printing and the books. The cafe area is also convenient for a less quiet space if you need to make a call.

Are you interested in Old Southwark? An amazing archive of maps, engravings and photos awaits you. If you live in the area and wondered what your fashionable street looked like 50, 100 or more years ago, you'll find out here. A great place for those who appreciate the history of the 'small places' - although you'll be surprised by how great this part of London is!

My local library is excellent and always busy which is great to see! It's bright and spacious with a big kids section, there are lots of computers and plenty of space to sit and read too. There is also a big selection of DVDs here which can be borrowed for £3 for 7 days so perfect if you fancy working your way through a box set or 15 over the winter months.
There are self-service borrowing machines so you don't have to queue to have books stamped but there are also very helpful staff around if you have any questions.
The only downside is that books can be borrowed for 3 weeks (every other library I've used has been 4) but you can renew them online if you want them for longer.

Great local library with plenty of choice for books and very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious coffee at the on site Mousetail coffee shop. Can get a little busy during peak hours.

Fine facilities, selection, atmosphere. Except they constantly play music. I'd hoped that a library would be an oasis of quiet reading and reflection, but the cafe insists on pumping out soft rock. It's a real shame, because it's otherwise a lovely library with excellent staff.

Small and convenient library. Great coffee at their coffee shop in their premises.

Great library. Way better than the British Library to work on a computer. Expect loads of noise from the kids area though

Full disclosure: I work here. But my colleagues are brilliant and friendly and very helpful indeed. Please come visit if you're interested in the stories one of London's most historic boroughs has to tell!

Fresh modern café and library. Managing to be still useful to many within the community. Great for a quiet meet up or rest up before exploring nearby sites.
On the downside wifi sucks. But it's free so can't complain much.

Good enough library. Small and with not to many book options compared to other Southwark libraries. Good and peaceful enviroment like almost always

Great library, however tables are in serious need of fixing. They are to wobbly to write on - in cafe area, round ones.

I used to visit this library back in 1998-1999. Good library. Established by John Harvard, who established Harvard university.

Becaus i TV it's SOS nice you know bro nice computer but nice books

The introduction of music into this library is an unfortunate development, and will, eventually have to be reversed. If one source of music is permitted, how are others to be forbidden, and virtually all digital communication items have an audio facility.

Nice place to study , will recommend!

Excellent service from the staff. The resources here are fascinating and a real asset to the local community.

Southwark libraries are excellent.

(Translated) There is a learning corner, you can bring your own computer and self study. Power supply can also be used. Free Wi-Fi seems to be usable unless you register.
In the morning children gathered, singing songs and reading it. Some babies start to cry, so it is helpful to have earplugs and earphones. (March, 2019)

午前中は子供連れが集まって、歌を歌ったり読みきかせをしていています。泣き出す赤ちゃんもいるので、耳栓やイヤホンがあると役立ちます。(2019年3月)
