Reviews of The Library at Willesden Green
W. Q. T.
Free entrance. Well lit and spacious, with lots of sitting spaces. The staff seems helpful and the there are plenty of books. Some bookshelves seem to be mislabelled (religion books are placed under philosophy for example). However, the environment is conducive for working and studying for sure.
A small Brent museum and exhibition at Level 2, which is interesting, would be nice to walk around to spend some time.

very nice, modern and big library. There is also a small museum inside.

Genuinely just a nice place to study and do work, the actual library is pretty vast especially if you are a student. The reason I gave this library 5 starts is because the staff are so nice and accommodating, it doesn't matter how old you are or what attitude you come with they are always very patient and will even take the time to show you step by step how to solve an issue which is very much appreciated especially when you are stressed and you just want to get some work done.

Not too bad. Clean and welcoming on the inside and friendly staff. However printing facilities with coin payments is not okay in 2021.

Library has tremendously improved since I was young. Much needed changes and a great leisure centre for the family. Well done Brent.

My granddaughter and I visit every 2-3 weeks. The children’s section is now on the first floor and we find Nd it to be well organized, quiet and comfortable. We always find a good assortment of fiction and nonfiction to borrow.

This is about the Brent Council’s LF
Fast tests available for asymptomatic people who need to be checked for work or just for peace of mind. Two tests 3 days apart bookable online. Fantastic Five Stars for the brilliant efficient fast and free service. Great professional staff, kind security and patient paramedics for those who struggle to self administer the tests. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Been a member of Brent Library since the Seventies. Watched it being upgrade about every decade. It's a beautiful place. Spans three floors, many entrances and exits so there is no paranoia or claustrophobia. There are stairs and lifts. I recommended using the stairs if you are claustrophobic.
Up-to-date computer facilities, printing, photocopying. Very spacious with lots of 'quiet spaces' for the studious.
There was an out-of-order coffee machine there when I visited recently.
Toilet self-flushes. Automatic water flow from taps
As a book lover, I think it's a smashing place.
No food allowed. People bring their own bottled water.
There is a proper Artists' Gallery, Ground Floor, which showcases Artists works (from all wakes of life) periodically.

Am very impressed with this library. I called up asking if I can join as I’m not a resident in the borough and the lady on the phone said yes of course. As a member you get two hours on a PC and are able to further extend providing there’s no one needing the machine. When I arrived the lady issued me a card on the spot and walked me through the process showing me exactly how to self book for next time. It’s a clean and modern library with a great selection of books. Has toilets and a cafe too. I’m very impressed compared to my local library at Shepherds Bush which is utterly rubbish!! Well done Brent council. 👍

I booked my PC and staff supported me with login and printing as I rarely use the library. Staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable.

A modern library with an art gallery, café, amazon pick-up point, thousands of books and multiple working areas.
I disagree with the comments about the quiet study room. I have been making use of this room for one year and it is filled with studious and hard-working people. There is occasionally someone being a bit noisy but they are quickly dealt with and it is a public library after all. The room is sealed off from the rest of the library.
Unfortunately the open-plan style of the ground floor where there is a children’s area with frequent events as well as various working areas in open space around the library mean that it is noisy. This should be addressed.

I have just tested for Covid 19 for the ninth time. The results will come soon enough.
I am grateful for the dedicated service of all those at the Library and elsewhere.
St Ignatius's prayer insists that we give of ourselves without counting the cost. Fight without heeding the wounds. Toil without seeking any rest.
To which I would add these words:
To Labour, and not to ask for any Conservatives. Or Lib Dems for that matter.
I am Wills. Thank you for reading.
S. S.
Friendly and helpful staff.
I am able to reserve books online and collect them without any fuss.

Open again . This library is as one of the most amazing local museums in all London!
M. Z.
No car park and parking expensive!
Children’s section not very inviting and cosy but has an excellent selection of fiction books, especially. The man at the desk wasn’t very helpful nor friend but the other staff were.

I have just come out of it exciting new built used to have a well run small cafeteria which served nice snacks now closed very well run computer service and a social place Recommend it
K. M.
Great for reserving and picking up books but otherwise avoid as no longer a library...sooooo noisy!
S. S.
Nice museum on the second floor.
H. S.
It is really amazing library, well trained staff and clean public library. They should ask people to stop calling in the library coz the noise disturbs other who are concentrated.
G. S.
This is as good as it gets for a modern public library in a modern London. The facilities on offer are vast and wide coveting the remit of community-based hub. With this in mind don't expect quiet.
There is a quiet room on the second floor but note the absence of Chrome as browser on the computers for hire.
Really...a good service provider.
M. J.
Love this meeting on Friday night at the reading room at 7pm
E. S.
It is a bit noisy, I am in here now on the first floor. Staff are friendly except a few. Good resources and many computers! Good for students and young children.
M. S.
It's a great place to do whatever you want; Read, study, work, watch things. Only problem is noise because of the children! too many of them, and most of the times they don't behave
R. M.
decent library, not as silent as library's are advertised to be. many dodgy looking people come and go which is expected as it is a public place.
good place to get some work done, just keep your belongings in your sight or with you at all times.
G. D.
Excellent staff always very helpful and must say security guard always a pleasure to talk to way better than average goes out of his way to help and always up for a friendly chat.
A. B.
Love this library. Literally has every book by every author you could ever dream of.
K. K.
It's very nice to relax here, they also have a great anime selection.
h. D.
Good place to relax, very quiet and not the last but the best thing I have been encountered was the positivity and a big welcome back from the local staff, I felt like a million 🌟
A. G.
More sits and tables for studies will be very appreciated. Overall, the library is awesome
N. P.
Good facilities, though more tables could be good and far too many idiot youths chatting rubbish on their phones here. Library staff should step up and tell them to shut it.
A. A.
Great improvement to the newly opened WIllesden Library altogether!! Great beautiful, well-lit spaces with not a lot of noise!!! It would be great if all socket points were made live because, as it is already, there is a shortage of socket points in the general/open floor space and walls. On all but the ground floor (...which essentially belong to infants), this is an issue.
C. C.
Really love this place, great variety and selection of books. There’s often classes on and an exhibition downstairs in the gallery
E. D.
Decent place. Not as silent as libraries are advertised to be.
M. B.
this is easily one of the best libraries in london, staff is good and friendly, enough books and their is a museum too, the problems are some people especially old come and stay in the library for hours doing nothin in first floor i dont know why!most times its noisy cause of those reading pretending teenagers in awe of the library facilities like they have not seen a standard library in their lives that is in second floor, the space is ok sometimes you will have to check both floors for a suitable place if not 5 stars.....lastly find a good spot and you will be fine.
D. K.
Quite good mordern library but kids are making load of noise sometimes.
