Reviews of Tuck Shop

Fresh daily produce; ethical consumerism; high quality; refills; amazing choice; lovely people. Until these guys opened, there was simply one other shop on Fish Island, which was over-priced with usual London nonsense. The Tuck Shop have everything I could wish for. Daily selection of amazing meat. Delicious hard seltzers (great no-sugar alternative to beer) at a good price. Local produce. The best vodka I've ever tasted, locally made. Great coffee - which, despite the proliferation of places serving coffee in Hackney Wick, is not always a given! I could go on, but you get the point; in a year which our neighbourhood got its first supermarket (at which I was shopping pretty much every day) the Tuck Shop will immediately be getting most of my business, for the next few years, and I breathe a massive sigh of relief that they have opened; a local, independently run shop that serves all my needs. Boomting.

Have visited this shop a few times, whenever i'm in the area and have been really impressed overall.
First of all the staff are extremely helpful, patient and friendly and hugely welcoming of canine companions, which was a nice treat.
Secondly, the range of products and produce is plentiful and vast, with a number of interesting products which i haven't seen in similar shops.
They particularly excel in cooking sauces, spices and beers from my perspective, with a really good range of brands and which aren't too damaging to the pocket.
Wanted to thanks the staff for always being so kind and would highly recommend this shop if looking for a local shop with an excellent breadth of small and artisanal produce.

This shop has just opened up in fish island. Great range of products including fresh produce and tonnes of tasty beers and wines. Owner Jake is always happy to give ideas for some inspiration on how to put together delicious dishes. Can't recommend enough.

This is my new favourite place! Finally a local friendly outlet that focuses on sustainability and where their prouduce comes from. I love that they focus on small businesses and personally I'm so happy to pay an extra few quid for the quality of produce I get. I especially love that they do great coffee and great options for my morning snack. It's great to have somewhere to predrink that serves wine by the bottle or the glass (to drink in or takeaway). Me and my friends can start the weekend off right or stock up on tasty treats for the weekend ahead. A shining star of the community. Thanks to Jake, Brodie and Sam for everything we needed in fish IIsland - would definitely recommend and will be coming back! 👍❤️👌

A nice addition to a part of Hackney Wick that is lacking even the most basic stuff – fresh bread, craft beer, cheese and butcher. So well done for that. Decently stocked.
More expensive than other places nearby in general, it is great now but the second something else comes in you will probably struggle to be the most expensive in the area.
its a shame its not realistically priced so we could do much more of groceries there, rather than giving it to Waitrose etc.
Some constructive criticism so you can stick around in the long run!

If 10 stars were an option, they would all be ticked.
Good vibes, great selection of products, Excellent coffees.
Also you NEED to try their toasties. Could not give a higher recommendation.

Great general store, perfect for picking up the weekly shopping or weekend booze, with some nice touches that set it apart from the crowd (fresh meats and gourmet foods), and it's run by really sound people. A new Hackney Wick landmark!

Such a great variety of eco friendly refills and fresh produce. Super friendly owners - love this store, you must check it out if you’re in Hackney Wick!

The best coffee for miles and the people working there are super friendly. So much selection 😍

A hackney gem! We went in for beer and ended up buying wine, drinking it outside and chatting to the lovely owners. Love this place 👌👌
