If you live in Stoke Newington and enjoy crafting/sewing/knitting etc this place is life enhancing. Not all the stock is the best quality - some of it is excellent, some not so much. But you just have to hunt around and make sure you're buying what you want. I've read some reviews complaining about the staff, and to be honest I've seen some customers given a pretty surly service, but as a regular I also know most of them are super friendly and helpful. This is the kind of shop where if you make an effort and are friendly and polite to the staff they will treat you well. OK, so there may be exceptions (one in particular I will not name and shame!), but... well it is what it is. If you are into fabric you can find some gorgeous stuff here. They really do seem to have everything, it's very well stocked. If you're worried about returns, it's worth asking before you buy - 'can I return this'? This isn't John Lewis. But I for one am very glad this shop exists. There's nothing else like it locally.

Great shop with lots of in stock items for a diverse range of craft hobbies. The fabric selection rannges from polycotton to Ankara and they have some patterns too. Lots of yarns, paints and clay. Amazing one stop

Very well stocked local shop for arts, crafts and all kinds of hobbies. It's great to be able to shop these products at a physical store instead of ordering online.

They've got a lot for lots of crafts. I go there mainly for sewing, knitting and stuff for kids school projects. They always have what I need. Wool quality for knitting is not my thing, but I only knit with Alpaca type of non scratchy natural wool, which I get elsewhere. Good value for money and good location.

From time to time i go to this store to buy essential craft materials (spray paint/sketchbooks among other things). The only things i'd like to say is that, unlike stores like WHSmiths and other craft stores; none of the staff members came up to you and asked if you needed any help/gave you any recommendations etc. Other than that, the prices are pretty decent.

What an absolute treasure trove! The craft store to beat all craft stores. Unsual and excellent quality items. All at very reasonable prices. Vast range of fabrics. Caters for the more unusual crafts also, felting, french knitting, jewllery making. The best range of ribbons, braids i think ive ever seen. Helpful but unobtrusive staff leave to browse in peace.

really love this shop. for a bricks and mortar general craft shop, you can find most of what you need. i only go here for the sewing supplies and whilst i sometimes wish it had a different fabric selection, i generally always come out with what i need.

This store has a lot of stock and just about anything you need to do needlecraft. I have one complaint and that's that the staff never seem truly interested in what you're working on.There's no enthusiasm and that's something I expect in a craft shop. These are just shopkeepers.
