Max and the team provided and fantastic knowledgeable service from start to finish, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Max’s advice and guidance at the purchase stage was superb, They processed the order and ensured all parts were correct, even contacting me before it was placed to make sure everything was correct. Paul did an awesome job at installing a rather difficult stove and Daniel came back a few days after the install to repair a chip in the stone work and did a fantastic job. Will certainly be getting my fuel from them over the years.

The guys in the shop took their time explaining about new regulations and which woodburners were suitable for our needs. Very patient with us whilst we made our decision. Once done they arranged for us to be contacted by the fitter who came out to assess our space and when fitted was very tolerant of our chaotic building site. ( and due to a mix up about other dates by me squeezed us into a cancellation spot) Everyone we dealt with has been informative, pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend

We were very impressed by Max, who is extremely knowledgeable and has a courteous and helpful manner. Also the choice of stoves in the showroom was excellent and we had no problem choosing the right one for us, aided by Max. There were problems with the installation and we had cause for complaint there. However, we hadn't properly understood that the fitter, Peter Connell, doesn't work for Westcombes, and the ensuing misunderstanding took a bit of clearing up. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend using a fitter from their list but I would definitely recommend buying a stove at Westcombes as I rate their expertise and helpfulness highly.

I feel I can pop in and ask either Max or George's advice, whether that is a practical question or more of a design related query. Westcombes fitted a multi fuel stove and new slate hearth for me and it is absolutely fantastic. I wanted the chamber rendered but when Paul took off the old blown plaster he recommended that we clean up the original bricks and now with the stove in place it looks really great, even better than I imagined . Fantastic job.

Disorganised service! The team in the shop couldn't seem to agree on a price, we had to ask several times to have it sent in an email. When the fire surround arrived it was had not been primed as promised and was the wrong style, there were decorative leaves which we had not asked for. We never received a receipt for the labour either.
