Reviews of Caring For Cats

We were initially nervous taking our cats to a cattery as one is still a kitten and the other a rescue, however Ian put us completely at ease. He’s very attentive to individual cats needs e.g. he found a box for our shy boy to hide in and made sure to make a fuss of our needy kitten! We loved that they could be in adjoining pens too so they could sleep and play together. The cats seem happy and are behaving like they were before our holiday. We would recommend :)

Our cat has been staying with Ian and Julie for a number of years now when we go on holiday. We know he is well looked after and given individual attention. Further Fields is such a caring cattery; we love that it is small and family run. I have complete trust and can relax when I’m away, knowing our cat will be safe and cared for.

I would never leave my cats with anyone else but Julie and Ian. They are a lovely family and are so dedicated to the cats they look after.
And the standard of cleanliness is 1st class.

We have used this cattery over the last few years and we think it's really good. Our cats Loki and Toffee are met with kind and accommodating caring hosts. Ian is very kind and really helpful. Thanks guys for your help.

We collected our 2 cats from here today after 8 days. 1 of them was more than happy to stay! Ian is lovely....asks about the cat's personalities beforehand and spends time with each and every one of them while you're away. Was nice not to have to worry about them as we knew they were being well cared for. Will definitely leave them here again with no worries for their welfare.

My family would highly recommend Caring for Cats cattery. Our cat has stayed there many times and we have always been very pleased with the care she receives. We leave her there with confidence, knowing that she will be safe and well looked after, in peaceful and pleasant surroundings. Julie and Ian, who run the cattery, show great enthusiasm for all of the cats who stay there and are extremely observant regarding health and behaviour of the cats. This is very reassuring, and enables us to relax, knowing our cat is in good hands, while we are away.

Great cattery. This family are very accomodating unlike some catteries I have come across. I've used them for years. Big thank you to Ian and family.

I have just collected our cat from this cattery, they are very kind caring people. I definitely recommend this place. The cats have an outside run as well as a inside area with the radio on all day. Ian is a very nice man who loves the cats in his care and makes a fuss of all of them and likes to get to know each one and tries his best to win over the shy one's making friends of them all.

Set in a peaceful rural location, on a farm, Caring for Cats Cattery is run by a lovely couple and their family.
In addition to catering for your cat's basic requirements , i.e. food, clean water, and a clean and safe environment, Julie, Ian and their family offer so much more, giving each cat individual attention, affection, and grroming, if required.
It is touching to see the fondness and enthusiasm with which they look after the cats in their care: the cattery really does have a family atmosphere, which I think is a lovely bonus when leaving your cat.
They put a lot of thought into looking after the cats, and often a radio is left quietly playing, providing a soothing back-ground sound for them. In addition, the lovely rural setting provides it's share of interesting sights, sounds, (and I'm sure, to a cat's sensitive nose, scents), which I always think must make the stay that much more enjoyable for your pet. The cats always seem calm and contented.
The cattery is always clean, but an added bonus for some will be the fact that it is inspected by Maidstone Borough Council, providing another layer of reassurance.
My cat Jack is a regular, and is always happy to arrive, and see Julie, Ian, and their daughters, who all make a fuss of him, which he loves! it is very easy to see that not only are they fond of him, but that he is very fond of them in return, settling immediately, and enjoying all the cuddles and strokes, and purring loudly!
It's always hard to be parted from a much-loved pet, but I'm so delighted to have found Caring for Cats Cattery, as I know he could not be in better hands, and will be extremely well looked-after. When I collect him, he is always happy, contented, and glowing with health, and I feel as if he has had a holiday too!
Very Highly Recommended!
