D. C.What a wonderful place, as a lover of Harry Potter I enjoyed our visit to Hoot we are looking forward to our return trip soon, definitely a must on your to do list if visiting Stockport, and why not call into The Owl's Nest Cafe adjacent for a Coffee and a chocolate 🐸 frog.... excellent !!

R. J.Lovely clean cafe, friendly service. Coffee is reasonably priced and good. My daughter had a butterbeer which was enormous and she enjoyed. I've not given more stars as the decor is not in keeping with Harry Potter. If they made it more like a cafe on Diagon Alley customers would have a more complete HP experience and it would merit 5 stars.
P. F. 3.Thank you so much. My 13th year old daughter brought one of the mystery wands after the fantastic member of staff convinced her. She got the wand of one of her favourite characters. The amount of choice available was fantastic and I will be coming back again
R. B.First of all ignore the photo on Google of this shop being on the highstreet, it is actually inside the Arndale shopping centre. If you are inside the shopping centre go to the lower floor and look for Sports Direct, in between Sports direct and Timberland is a long corridor if you go down there and just before you get to the door that takes you back outside you will find Hoot. If you are outside the centre, look for Tiger Tiger or The Hard Rock Cafe and its on the opposite side of the road. If you go through the glass door next to the car park entrance and it will take you straight to Hoot.
This is a great little shop made even better by the lovely people that work here. If you are a Harry Potter fan I would recommend you to visit and the fact that the profits go towards mobility scooters is fantastic. My son was very happy with his wand and we will be visiting again when we return to Manchester.
B.@ Amy Carmon, this is a charity shop, it boasts some of the most hard to find merchandise at a fraction of the cost, e.g. special wands, fantastic beasts memorabilia, prop replicas etc. All the proceeds go to charity. Not sure why you were so disappointed, the shop has variety and you can ask if there's something specific you are looking for.
E. c.Saw the shop featured in "The Manchester evening News paper" and made a trip to see what it's got to offer. As there is a lack of harry potter themed places in the Uk and the nearest one that comes to mind is in London, this shop has a nice atmosphere for fans and is worth a trip if you are in the area.
