Reviews of Levenshulme Antiques Village
Lovely old building with great selection of antiques. Good dairy free options in the cafe which I didn’t expect for a place that’s quite small and a bit dated (which added to the charm!)
We have a cool record and cd and Bookshop store here great new indie 80s 90s look for the vinyl discs it's over the top of the cafe loads of rock ,pop 60s ,soul ,folk & more card payment available.
Much better then south station cafe, service was great food came quickly and was tasty
The cafe is excellent value and good food.
Nice antique shops - found what I was looking for with helpful assistantce from the owner, highly recommended!
Incredible place filled with a wide range of antiques vendors.
Great even just for a browse - plenty of interesting stores spread throughout the historic building and grounds. Particularly good for antique/second-hand furniture, with stock changing frequently. Parking, café and toilets on site. Lots of steps and narrow walkways, meaning the building isn't particularly accessible.
Great place, lots of treasures and many skilled trades people.
Great second hand book and print shop on the ground floor. Rest is now rather over priced. Hard to find a bargain here but some nice pieces.
Enjoyed the cafe. Excellent food and friendly staff. Disappointed with antiques. All large furniture and very expensive.
Love this place. Interesting ever changing selection of all sorts of antiques. Great place to peruse on a rainy Saturday or if you have recently moved house! We bought a beautiful large chest of drawers and a hallway bench. The sellers can help with delivery too.
Has a great selection of furniture at a very high standard
Ken who is situated in the cellar is extremely knowledgeable and it’s always a pleasure to visit him, he has time for everyone. We have bought a few small pieces but some of his furniture is iconic. I hope we are able to visit soon.
Really cool collection of small dealers in a very cool 1898 former council building. Plenty of furniture and not so many "smalls". Good prices and good people. The cafe was nice and the food was good. Don't forget to visit the vendors outside in the back!
Lots of really nice furniture. Not much in the way is smaller stuff. What was there was good quality and would visit again.
A beautiful building full of vintage furniture. Worth a look if you love old stuff like me. I really liked looking at the smaller lock ups at the back of the building where the antiques are a little more random.
Prices vary but some seem a little steep but hey people need to make a living! I haven't eaten at the cafe but I've heard good things.
A nice interesting place ,well stocked and a broad range of choice. The cafe does a nice breakfast too.
After saying what sandwiches we required, they were then made and the quiche, scones and cakes were really nice. We didn't have a problem with the service and what a really happy crappie we had serving us.
We didn't know we had to book and went with a groupon voucher for afternoon tea for 6. Even though it was really busy. The lovely ladies there went above and beyond to look after us all and made a beautiful afternoon tea for us. Would recommend booking first. Excellent food and cakes. Would highly recommend this cafe.
Accessibility wise it's a nightmare, as a result of the old building and how the stock is laid out. Good range of reclaimed furniture from a variety of eras and prices seem reasonable. Some traders also offer delivery.
Fantastic! Something interesting in every corner. Had a good chat with one of the business owners in the basement. Good little cafe on site and a really cool atmosphere to the place.
Great selection of antiques and crafts. Antiques are displayed so they are accessable, not all bunched up together. They have craftsman on-site too which was handy as we were able to buy a door and arranged for stained glass to be fitted on it. It also has a nice cafe serving breakfast and got drinks.
Lots of interesting things to see, especially if you're into old ornate mantlepieces, but there's also plenty of period furniture too. Good place to while away a couple of hours, even if you're not really into antiques.
We have just moved our business Grandads Attic in to here all the other trades have been very welcoming and friendly.😊
Some excellent antiques including a good selection of Victorian and Edwardian furniture. Worth a look around for something different for the house or just to have a look! There's lots of interesting things to see.
Wear comfortable shoes so you can shop at leisure and marvel over the finds. The different shops offer a variety of items and they dont cater to just one taste. No matter what your yearning for, there is something to fill it. From elegant to rustic. Antique to retro. Make it a memorable day and bring your best buddy. Better yet, embrace the romance of an era gone by and linger with your love and choose things to make memories with. I did.
Went on a Monday so the shop I was most interested in (the record shop) wasnt open, however the building is beautiful and there is a good range of items and stalls which is not found often.
This is a great little place if you want to find a one of a kind item.
My partner and I, took a stroll round it when have some tea at the cafe next door.
Great place to pick up something that will make pride of place in your home
Nice enough but timings cannot be strictly adhered to. I went just after opening time and the person I needed to speak to was not even in yet.
Visited here a few times as the stock is always changing. Mike the fireplace guy is helpful and his work is exceptional
A treasure trove. If you’re into antiques or pre-loved furniture, you will enjoy the gold mining in this place. I keep going back because all the dealers have constantly fresh stock. Head out to the yard for a tour around the workshops too
So much to see and browse. Lots of small specialist businesses in the workshops and free parking
This is a great place to get some real antiques at affordable prices. There aren't a lot of these type of shops around anymore. If you're looking for Victorian, Georgian or even Avantgarde furniture this is the place to go. There is also a courtyard with beautiful stripped pine doors as well Bric-a-brac. 4 posted Mahogany beds, lamps and more. A great gem of a shop in the city Manchester.
Nice selection of antiques with a small coffee shop downstairs.
This is a great place to buy all types of antique furniture. There is an antique/antique style fireplace shop in here which is really nice. Other antique pieces are available, but it is mainly furniture that is sold here.
I must've passed this place thousands of times and never been inside. What a fantastic place for antique and reclaimed furniture and crafts. I'll definitely be going again.
Great place to look around but over priced.
A fantastic staple on Levenshulme High Street. Everyone I have recommended it to has managed to buy a dining table - myself included. I love to poke around the shops and studios, which sell everything you can possibly imagine. I rarely come home empty handed and have bought furniture, mirrors, crockery and knick-knacks. You can get wooden doors dipped and chairs upholstered. In the era of up cycling and handmade, the antiques centre is an essential starting point for furnishing a period home.
Fantastic place full of great things to buy. Especially the record and book shop above the cafe. Came home with some great records and dvds.
Such a nice little gem. Will be back for more!
1st of the year..different types of food available.....cheese stall was the best.....there was even a bar so we could have a drink with our wood burning pizza
Nice place if you are interested in antique furniture
Enjoy having a look around don't always buy anything
A treasure trove of old artifices and furniture. Always new things added. Lovely people who own the stalls within
Worth a stroll round..door stripping. Small outlets. Serious players..and a reclamation yard that's out there. .Where? Wild and whacky...really interesting...,there's even a tiger ...
Always a pleasure to visit - great items and lovely atmosphere. Absolutely beautiful building
Great selection of vintage furniture spread over several floors
Only used the cafe. Way understaffed for how busy it gets, meaning staff really struggle to get things right, but food and prices ok, and nice atmosphere
Great selection, well organised and all the staff holders were very helpful
Love this place when you go here don't forget to look at the lockups around the back some really nice stall here.
Interesting market... some businesses better than others.
Cafe in need of improvement!
Lovely place full of old furniture had a fabulous breakfast at the cafe aswell.
If you're after browsing for sylish furniture and oddities without being hassled or pressurised by shop staff , then this is the place for you
Wide range of stock but best for furniture. Would be great if other dealers did pop ups
Definitely worth an hour or two wandering around if you want something different.
Very cute selection of antiques, nice vibe
I like walking around and looking at the lovely antiques and some times I can see some thing I like
Very friendly staff and lots of delicious food excellent value for money
