Being a sea angler in Manchester it's a bit of journey finding anywhere that sells sea fishing tackle, even the basics. Buying on line is convenient and great for finding the cheapest deals, but nothing beats the hands on approach. Being able to have good rummage, the smell, it's like being a kid in a sweet shop, something on line shopping will never be able to compete with. I've made several visits over the past six months or so and walking through the door, the shop is well light, clean and very tidy. If you're a Carp angler you'll know instantly they'll stock pretty much everything you'll need. As mentioned I'm a sea angler, from shore and boat, although these days my boat fishing is from my own SIB, small inflatable boat. Rods, reels and terminal tackle differ quite a lot, granted, a few items can be used for both, but to cover most if not all eventualities, two tackle boxes are always in need of a top. There aren't many multipliers on display although I'm sure they can be ordered, but there is a good choice of boat rods from Rovex, Greys and the Shakespeare Ugly Stik range. I also noticed a few beachcasters with fixed spool reels from Savage Gear and Sunset. For the space given to the terminal tackle there's a surprising amount available, from size 10 sea hooks up to 7/0. Swivels in just about every size imaginable including ball bearing swivels for Big Game. There's a good range of Mackerel Feathers and ready made rigs if you don't make your own, a selection of weights and even frozen bait, so you're pretty much good to go. If like me you're happy to sit for hours making your own rigs, you'll find everything you need to cover most if not all situations. Prices. I don't pay too much attention on the price of terminal tackle, we generally have an idea of what we're happy to spend. Tackle shops need to make a living and I'm very happy that I have one within a thirty minute drive that stocks what I need. I will say that I have bought two rods this year and both were cheaper than buying on line. So today, besides having a good rummage and a good chat with the staff, I walked out with my tackle box topped up, a new rod and a BIG smile on face...

Come across this shop by accident so thought ide pop in for a look i do alot of sea fishing and theres not meny good shops about that stock much sea fishing tackle so normally have to buy online but ide rather go in a shop so you can see what your buying its only a small shop but has quite abit in it i managed to get 8 out of the 10 things i wanted which i thought was really good considering its no where near the sea will be using the shop again for some of the bits i need and prices was not to bad either its worth a look in
