It's been about 18 years since I last went fishing but decided it's time for me to start again. Walking into Angling Direct MK and having a quick wander round I realised just how much has changed and have to admit feeling out of my depth and even a bit intimidated. There was no need though. I was approached by one of the staff, Josh, who quickly put me at ease and we went about getting me kitted up from rod & reel to floats and hook lengths. I felt confident that I was being given good advice rather than just being sold the most expensive products. This was not the rushed, off hand service I was expecting from a large shop and left feeling like a kid again, smiling and excited at the prospect of sitting by a lake with rod by my side.
