Haven’t been in ages but was so charming last time I was there. I know the man who works there. He is a friend. I noticed some people were leaving reviews about him making them uncomfortable. I get where they’re coming from, but I think there is a misunderstanding because he’s actually really nice.

Love this shop, if you're into crystals, tarot and magic then this is the place to visit in Newcastle. Lovely little shop with so much to offer.

I love this quirky little shop and I've bought lots of lovely gifts for myself over the years. Service varies depending on who's working on the day but don't let it put you off. The outlet is quite literally bursting at the seams. They have so much to look at you'll need at least a good couple of hours to browse. You can get everything from beautifully hand crafted jewelry and gifts to ornaments, semiprecious stones and crystals. There is something for everyone including a few clothing items. They even sell tarot cards. The shop can get a little claustrophobic when it's busy so those of you who don't like an enclosed environment it may be worth popping your head around the door beforehand. They have a little cafe downstairs so you could always grab a bite to eat whilst you're waiting for it to quieten down. The shop has a lovely calming feel with gentle music playing in the background - there is always a lovely scent and one can feel the different continents whilst examining the goods sourced from far and wide. It's enchanting ..... P.S. In response to some of the reviews on here, I'm not sure where this shop stands legally but certainly a 10 year old is extremely young to be locked in a shop (and followed around by an adult) without a parent or guardian to take care of them. I imagine the experience would have been extremely distressing for a child so young. I would certainly be worried by this practice as a parent and suggest the shop revise their policies and refuse entry for young children without an accompanying adult to supervise them or refrain from locking the door.

Lovely little shop with a nice variety of crystals, books, jewellery and other items that I'd like to buy more of! The staff is very helpful and always happy to answer questions or just to have a little chat with. I love the fact that there is a little cafe in the bottom, although I haven't made it there yet. But it is on my to do list! Overall I was very happy with my few visits to the shop and the friendly and knowledgeable support I received from the staff. I'd like to add that during the current pandemic the staff adhere to the social distancing rules and they ask you to sanitise your hands when entering the shop. I think this is so important and it is nice to see that they ensure customer safety. I will definitely return and would recommend Elula to anyone who is looking for a shop like this.

Absolutely lovely. I was recommended to try this place after an incredibly upsetting experience at Little Bazaar in Grainger Market. The staff are so lovely and very knowledgeable and patient. The stock is fantastic and I'll be back again soon <3

One of the most wonderful little shops I have ever had the pleasure to wander into! Not only is this shop filled with exceptional and unique products (I really could spend thousands of pounds in there) but the staff are helpful and have gone above and beyond to accommodate as many people as they can whilst staying as safe as possible, especially when its come to the coronavirus. I can't help but admire the staff members as they constantly try to help not just themselves, but the two other fantastic businesses that reside upstairs and downstairs from them. Together they make a safe space, as well as hippy heaven! Five stars, would absolutely reccomend you give them a visit! Remember your mask and stay safe!

The Gentleman in question that runs the shop is nice enough, but to be honest I thought a lot of the merchandise was really pricey..If you compare the spell candles which are the same on Amazon you will get a shock especially with the plastic candle holder..I just thought the shop was quaint and I have been a practioner for a long time now...I saw plenty of crystals but no herbs..Its a better shop than the one in the Grainger Market thought that's for certain Blessed Be

Wonderful shop, had a really good talk with the owner who is lovely, there's all sorts in this shop, crystals, tarot and oracle card decks, spiritual books including how to deepen or explore your connection, mindfulness etc.

Teeny tiny shop full of marvels (jewellery, cards, ornaments and trinkets, etc) and there's a really cute cafe underneath, "down the spiral staircase". Both businesses are trying hard to keep customers safe and socially distanced in such cosy spaces. What times these are! We've all got to help these small businesses survive this pandemic and do what's necessary whilst staying safe. (Please wear a mask if the proprietors require it, you don't know the health issues the staff or thier families may have. If you won't or can't wear a mask, they're willing to still get you what you want at the door. No problem.)
