I got my dog yesterday & went to the store to buy a harness & some toys. Chloe was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable & was so kind. She obviously loves her job & animals, she’s an absolute credit to the shop. Excellent service & Jordan on the till was lovely too, both of them are an absolute asset to Pets at Home.

We bought our first fish tank here last week and bought the fish today and I'm super impressed by not only the friendliness but also the knowledge of the staff, in particular Andrew who was able to answer all my questions (and there were many!). Even when I rang through the week for advice about heater temperature it was the same, I spoke to Chloe and she was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable... we will definitely be back when we are ready for more fish!

It's like any other pets at home. Mostly lovely staff. However I don't like being watched like a hawk every time I go in as the security guard is a bit over the top. I try to avoid the byker shop as much as I can. All in all apart from the security man it's great!

Great range of cat, dog and other pet food plus other products in a huge store with many people serving. Relatively cheap. Doesn't seem to get too busy. Massive car park that goes get busy as shared with many other shops. Downmarket but always helpful.

Went in here to get some probiotics for my mice and hamster. Was happily surprised to see they have 3 suitable cages for hamsters (80x50cm) that weren't advertised just for rats. Still had the old ones but it's an improvement to what they used to sell.

The store itself is great. Certain staff members are nice and treat you well. Others don't know what to do or say. I have used this store for as long as it has been open. Sometimes when I forget my VIP card they put the point's on at the till via accessing computer... other staff members do not do this so I lost a fair few points. Not that you can buy much Ince you get the vouchers. There is always room for improvement but I prefer this pet shop over others.

Staff are friendly and knows how to keep pets very well but it was kinda disappointed since they only have a less choices of aquatic fishes in it especially with the accessories and designs. I am a little bit of bias because I only talked about the fishes here but the if you are not a fan of fishes, you might understand my point of view. However, all of the pets are really looking so healthy and look so well. Lots of choices of pets and accessories too.

Took my two cocker spaniels to be groomed today - the girls could not have been nicer - came out greeted the dogs, made them feel comfortable very sociable & helpful. They did both dogs at the same time whilst I shopped nearby & called me when they were all done! Dogs were relaxed & looked & smelled fantastic! Well done.

Lovely pets at home. Staff are always friendly and animals are kept in great condition. Always come here to get my reptile food, specialists always give out advice If you have any enquires about the reptiles, and the insects are fresh and have deals on 3for2 ect.

Been in this place a few times, layout of this shop is second to none.if you have a pet this is the place to go for help& advice on your pet's diet. All staff i have spoken to have been very knowledgeable about all the products & animals on sale .Highly recommended.

Fish tanks are way overstocked and animals aren't looked after properly. I had to tell a member of staff that a Syrian hamster could not get any water and it had no toys in or a wheel in its box to entertain it.
