Have used Garry Evans on several occasions for fly fishing tackle. The delivery of online orders is always very prompt, and they offer very competitive prices - often cheaper than the larger online retailers. In particular, after making an order from them on the 22nd of December, I was amazed to receive my items on the 24th, especially considering the time of year. Will be sure to use them again!

I have used Gary Evans shops both in Newport and Cardiff, their stock levels are good as well as the advice freely given. If you are shopping for equipment and you know what you want I recommend ordering online first and picking up in store. Bait stock - have not let me down yet and they ate good at rod repair.

I've been going to Gary Evans for years it's run by extremely knowledgeable people who are always happy to help. The store is stocked with all the latest equipment and is an Aladdin cave for the browser. It's stood the test of time for a reason, it's a great fishing tackle shop and a must visit for every angler.

Have been visiting this store for over 40yrs, started in Cardiff but Newporr is now closer...Ask for Wayne although all staff know their stuff... They have quality tackle and are always willing to help with information and advise accordingly.

Fair play to the lads, can't fault them. Called in for a travel rod (squadron II ) and a new reel penn 525 mag 3, the rod wasnt available in the newport shop so the guys called cardiff and with in the next few hours my rod was delivered to the store. The guys were happy to serve me and even had a bit of banter along the way. Highly recommended for price and customer service.. Pleasure doing business and will defo be back soon..
