m. J.I took my wife to Hobbycraft as she had a gift voucher for Christmas. She managed to fill her basket which I had the pleasure of carrying. My wife however had a great time, she enjoyed telling my son of all the things she got with her voucher, failing to mention the £80 I had added to cover the cost. But now I am reaping the benefits as she sits quietly at her table happily doing whatever she is creating. Whilst I enjoy the peace. Thank you son best gift ever.
R. M.This was my first visit to a Hobbycraft. I had not even realised there was a shop like this so close to my local area. I needed some supplies for arts and crafts. And boy did Hobbycraft have supplies!! There was so much selection and thankfully the members of staff were more than helpful. I figure without assistance I would have probably been too spoilt for choice to make an easy selection. The member of staff who assisted did not just point at an area, she took me to the very product range, explained the advantages and disadvantages, and allowed me to make a reasonable choice with information given. She was not in a hurry to get rid of me, but dedicated time to my small purchase. The pricing was fantastic, there were budget to premium quality brands and the range to choose from was wide. The checkouts were adequately manned and there was no congestion. I also really liked how well the floors were marked to help with appropriate social distancing protocols, in one way, out the other. The shop appeared very clean and well laid out. I would definitely recommend this outlet to anyone looking for supplies for hobbies and crafts. There is more than sufficient free parking and certainly makes a difference to finding similar shops in the centre of town where shopping is more complicated and certainly not free. Well done to Hobbycraft for delivering a great shopping experience and fantastic service. I’ll certainly be back.

S. O.A good concept and supplies the need for the hobbyist into arts and crafts. Covers most home art and crafts with many items now cheaper than what they uses to be some years back. Indeed many items I found here slightly cheaper than at Amazon. e.g. jam jars.
Overall worth a visit, good parking and nicely laid out store.

D. S.Hobbycraft, Northampton is a good branch. The store is spacious and well organised, with a great reduced section upstairs. It's worth visiting, to get some bargains in this section. The shop carries a lot of lines, catering for a wind range of crafts. The prices are not too bad but many products can be purchased cheaper online. Staff are generally friendly, though on a couple of occasions, I've been disappointed, when they haven't known of the product that I've asked for and dismissed my enquiry without any effort to check stock. On one occasion, I was told that they didn't stock a certain item, only to find it on the shelves a few minutes later.

There's plenty of parking and there is disabled access and a lift to the second floor.

Staff are actively keeping numbers of customers limited for safe shopping, tills are sectioned off with perspex for safe purchasing, and the sanitizing station at the entrance is well stocked for customer use. I felt very safe shopping with Hobbycraft.

H.Purchased something online which showed in stock as I was in the area on business, I never received a email to say item ready for collection, after a few hours I went to the store to ask if my order is ready for collection, I was shocked to be told my item wasn't in stock even though the website says it was and I had to go back the next day to collect, I live 26 miles away from the store so it cost me more in fuel to come back and collect the next day than the item was worth. I could not see any way how to cancel my order for a refund so I could purchase from another store near my home!

It's not huge, just a medium size shop next door to Matalan and Wickes store. The road surface just before the parking area is quite rough, so be careful with your car.
w. l. p.until quite recently it would of been 4 stars but they have done a few things that have cost them a star.
First of all it feels very cramped and compact.
Second of all their prices have started to go up quite a bit.
but there are some good things about this shop, it is easy to find what you are looking for they give you cheaper choices of paints instead of buying the expensive ones.
so to conclude it is a good shop but it needs its prices to go down or else it might lose profit and customers.

J. G.A great one-stop shop for all your crafting needs and beyond, to a certain extent. Our visit was for cake decorating edibles and the vast array of icings, embellishments and tools available to buy is difficult to beat.
One criticism is that the pricing can sometimes be a little out - we had been on the lookout for some crafting Scrabble-type letters, which are readily available across the internet. Whilst Hobbycraft had the item, they were a bit more expensive than online but not necessarily of an obvious better quality.
Not a wasted trip though, by any means!

A. S.This place is full of hidden treasures. I love going here to get ideas for work as I work with children and finding a good deal in the clearance. The staff have always been very helpful too.
a. d.Large range of crafts and craft materials. Beginner kits in most ranges to enable a rather twee taste of the real thing. You do require knowledge of what you are buying though as the staff have little practical experience and often try to sell inappropriate materials to the unwary. Before Hobbycraft arrived there were seven independent art and craft shops in Northampton...now there is only one left: Coleman's in St. Giles Street. They don't have the variety of stock of Hobbycraft but the staff are much more knowledgeable about what they sell and give good advice, and can order items if they don't have them. Hobbycraft probably can order items too, but it seems too much trouble.

B. B.Easy parking, large shop. Only problem (if you consider it a problem) is that there's too much choice. It takes a long time to find what you want and then to decide.
P. P.You can find pretty much anything you need for cake decorating, knitting, painting and etc. Prices are reasonable, bearing in mind that most products are from good quality brands.
