The “ginger muppet” at the games counter was an absolute legend and made myself and my partner feel so welcome! He treated us like old friends and really made our experience worthwhile. Would 110% recommend him for any promotion you can! He was a barrel of laughs!

Come here quite a lot for the Pokémon collections they offer, however in a recent visit we did not receive the correct amount of items we paid for. Just putting this as a heads up to other collectors to count how many packs of cards they take out of their drawer as you may not get as many as you actually pay for.

Visited Smyths Northampton for a car seat for my young daughter. The lady who helped us pick the car seat was very knowledgable and friendly and we felt confident picking a car seat from Smyths. Unfortunately we had an issue/fault with the car seat, which caused some problems. I spoke with Eddi, Manager of the store and I have to say that although our experience with the car seat was not good, the experience with the staff and how they dealt with us afterwards could not be faulted. Eddi was kind and polite to us. He could see our concerns and sorted out the problem. We returned the faulty car seat and picked a new one and whilst we were debating which one to go for, a further member of staff walked past, saw us and stopped to help us - without us asking. Again he was extremely knowledgable on the car seats and so helpful. We chose a different brand and that has worked out better for us. They made the whole thing so easy and were just brilliant. Amazing customer service.

Smyth's toy Superstore on the nene valley retail park has a large selection of toys and games for all ages. located in the corner of the retail park there is a large parking area with some mobilaty parking bays by the Store front. Some of the stock that is on display is located high on the shelf and needs staff member to get a product down using a set of high steps or cherry picker.

Good shop. Staff are friendly enough. Managed to get what we needed.

My sons gaming headset wasn't working, and Smyths happily checked and replaced it. The man behind the electronics counter is very knowledgeable and helpful. He recommended a new headset for my son and he's really pleased with it.

One of the best toy stores I've ever been in

Did a click and collect which was easy to do online, went in store to collect, store was quite busy which ment getting a buggy round was challenging at times. Ended up with a buggy full of toys in the end. Decided to collect first then pay for rest of stuff. But by this time baby was very unhappy to be still shopping! The gentleman at click and collect was so friendly and helpful! And let me pay for every thing all at once to save queing again. Even offered to help me out to the car as he could see I was struggling with a wriggley baby. A very friendly experience.

(Store now open fully since lockdown.) The shop has got so many toys of all kinds. Yes, it can be quite expensive, but sometimes there is an offer on that helps, or a reduced price. Just for inspiration purpose, it's pretty fantastic. To be able to hold and check the toy out, instead of simply buying online and hoping for the best. Of course, we all price compare, and sometimes go somewhere else. However, some toys are Smyth's only. After Christmas, the stock gets fairly low and you will have to wait until end of January before they have properly restocked with new toys again. Plenty of parking, wheelchair friendly, fairly ok for sight impaired, and brilliant for kids. Knocked one star off due to lack of toilet/baby change facilities. Easy to find within the Nene Valley Retail Park, but be aware of the direction of traffic markers. Coming off the roundabout (whichever direction you are coming from), take a right next to KFC, then a left into the car parking area and the first left again, which actually is the correct way to drive up to Smyth's and the parking infront. Naturally, not all do, so watch out when you park up.

Very helpful staff! I went to look at upgrading the car seat for my little one and the lady who I spoke to was great. Very knowledgable and wasn’t pushy at all. The only thing she was interested in was my child’s safty and not selling the product! I will definitely be returning back here soon to get more!

Store looks good, nice toyz r us type of atmosphere, the store is clean and organised and pretty much has everything you could want from a toy store. There is one problem for me though, some of the staff, they seem oblivious to when you are waiting to be served. I went to the store recently to purchase a game for myself and the duty manager was serving a customer in front of me which of course isn't a problem however there are 3 other members of staff standing around doing nothing, one young lad was counting stock behind the counter right in front of me, back 10 years ago when I worked in retail no matter what tasks we had to complete rule number one was drop it and serve your customers first, this today didn't happen.and its not been the first time. A few months earlier I visited the store and a simular thing happened a bunch of staff stood around chatting whilst the duty manager served the customers. Other than these small concerns this place is fine replacement of toyz r us and they always seem to have what I want in stock.

Went into the store today to buy gifts for my daughter's birthday, the staff were exellent the young girl who helped me find the toys i needed was actually delightful I think her name was milli & also the guy behind the till was really pleasant the girl said is name was Ray? Went into store on Saturday with only a vague idea what to get for my grandson. Stopped a passing young man whose name I wished I had asked. He was absolutely brilliant, so helpful and polite. He helped me to decide without his help I would have made a big mistake or left empty handed.
