Reviews of The Old Bakehouse Antiques
G. M.
Nicely set out with a large selection of items. Worth a haggle if you fancy something. I've had one or two interesting things at decent prices so good hunting.
S. A.
The tardis outside, is a clue to what you will find inside; the place is deceptively huge and packed to an inch of it's life with antique and vintage stuff. I could spend all day mooching around in there and still not see everything. The shop, upstairs, beach huts and sheds....
A. N.
Brilliant place friendly staff good place to pick up a bargain
p. s.

The owners of this place deserve 5 stars for customer service - very helpful, friendly and nothing was too much of a problem. Some staff in other antique centres make you feel you are disturbing their day. Yes, parking can be tricky but after we had street parked around the corner we were advised that genuine customers of the antique centre can park on the white line outside. The owner very kindly carried our purchases (without our asking) to our car. We will be back!

Love this place. A warren of individual sellers areas, inside and out. Great selection of vintage items, staff are helpful and cheerful, cute little cafe too. Well worth a visit, but limited street parking in a residential area. Still worth going though.
B. S.
A lovely place to find unusual bits and bobs. Many little sheds full of old items and antiques. We manage to buy a few plates but could have spent a lot more. Well worth walking in.
The staff were very friendly and left you alone to browse.

This is a lovely place to visit and have a look around at the interesting and unusual items they have for sale. The staff are very friendly, welcoming & helpful. There is a toilet facility here as well as a small cafe serving drinks and cakes.
M. F.
Great place to buy antiques and vintage goods at reasonable to mid range prices. Good variety and plenty of individual units. There will be something for everybody. Parking is in the street so can be difficult at times to park close by but we'll worth it. Overall, highly recommended.

If you love the vintage, the unusual, the upcycled and the truly unique...this is definitely the place to come. It has a very strong foot hold in what we should all be doing, Savouring and sustaining furniture and items that were built to last the stand and test of time. There is nothing more satisfying than buying a solid piece of furniture lovingly bought back to life by one of these clever traders. I wander around each individual unit, Savouring the unusual and the truly beautiful all the ornaments that are there to buy. There are vinyl records and clothes...really fantastic military style coats, waist coats, lamp shades, grandfather clocks, vintage jewellery...the list goes on.... Would just say...go...see for yourself and just ENJOY!!

While away the time and wonder about this fab place for collectables and antiques, even a cuppa.

What an amazing place, with amazing staff and a smorgasbord of lovely, oh and amazing, bits bobs and your others......
I would recommended this establishment to any and every like minded folk and body.
D. P.
It looks small from the street but once inside you discover a courtyard surrounded by beach huts, each crammed with all manner of treasure and tat. Many items took me back to the days of my youth. I spent an hour in there and still didn't see everything. Well worth a visit.

I have visited the Old Bakehouse antique centre in Abington St Northampton, based at No 88 to 90, I was both impressed and astounded at the wide variety of items on display and available to purchase. I enjoyed the 2 hours I spent there immensely, it genuinely is worth a visit to take in the look back in time, and recall so many memories of times gone by.
S. O.
I'm not sure why it says "permanently closed" in maps, its very much alive and kicking (June 2018). The alley leads to small huts each specialising in some niche antique area, possibly each leased by a different owner. You will find furniture, paintings, prints, clothes, jewellery, garden and household items in all price ranges. Worth a visit.
R. R.
Good for a wonder round. Some nice bits but parking is a nightmare that's the only reason it stops me going there. Nice owner

A real discovery; a collection of 20 or so antique, vintage, retro, reclaim and bric-a-brac dealers. Everything from vintage vinyl to china, glass, furniture and clothes. I bought a pretty Lloyd Loom chair for a tenner and some Beswick cats for a few pounds. And there's a little café - bonus!
J. P.
Very warm and sincere welcome - so much to see and enjoy plus tea & cake!
