Reviews of Looses Emporium
Great place, real Aladdin's cave of things to browse. Lots of vinyl, retro furniture, porcelain, big book section upstairs, clothes, all sorts. Cafe downstairs at the back (didn't try it, but the bacon smelled great!). Enjoyable time spent digging through lots of bits and pieces.
The never ending Aladdins cave of vintage and antique finds at very affordable prices. They’re open to price negotiating and we’ve found some absolute bargains here. One of our favourite places to explore on a Sunday afternoon. Also dog friendly which is much appreciated.
A truly magical place, filled with nostalgia and history. I could have easily refurnished my home. The most beautiful pieces in a heartwarming environment.Well done 👏🏽 Can't to visit again....home in London xx
A truly magical place. Bigger on the inside and full of surprises. A labyrinth of eclectic treasures and hidden gems. Lovely, genuine staff there that give you the time of day. Great value too. Truly the best emporium I've ever been too.
You can view and buy absolutely anything you can think of here. From antiques, books and clothes to music, furniture and old bikes. Also there's a nice cafe in the shop, which does a lovely tea.
I like walking around the maze of antiques. Never bought something as they are too expensive for my budget. You can find interesting furniture if you know how to fix them up
A true aladdins cave of wonders! If youre looking ANYTHING vintage then this is the place to go! You can spend all day in here browsing the all sorts, and the home made food of the cafe was delicious
Great place loads of goodies, could spend hours and a fortune in there
Love Loose's on Magdalene Street Norwich, I can spend ages looking around at all the beautiful facinating things from all the era's, there really is something for everyone.
I have been to a lot of antiques centres over the years, and this Emporium is very impressive! The Emporium has two floors of antiques to explore and a good cafe serving cakes, coffees etc... l would recommend a trip here!
Amazing Aladdin's cave full of antiques and curiosities. If you like vintage give yourself a good hour to browse, it's a big place that covers several floors and outside
Great vintage store. Huge selection of everything. Happy with my records purchase. Looking forward to going back again.
This is a large Flea Market shop in the vibrant Magdalen Street in Norwich. It's a great place to wander through and look at ideas in furniture restoration, items from the past and just general things which bring back good times.
There is a cafe which serves good coffee and great bacon rolls, I like mine crispy.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Worth a look.
Great place to visit. And just be amazed at all the memorabilia. Wonder where it all comes from.
Plenty of variety and good deals to be had. Parking nearby. One of my favourite antique shops
Amazing place, you could spend hours just discovering so many amazing things!
I love this shop! Includes toilets and cafe. Parking free outside on Sundays
A huge array of antiques, collectables, books and homeware (and so much more)! A must visit when in norwich
Love Looses emporium.. proper flea market and full of goodies old and new..
Great place ,huge selection of everything retro and individual, I loved it
Lovely antique shop with fascinating findings. Great if you are looking for a one of a kind piece that makes your home truly unique. Good for upcycling and upholstery projects.
An Alladins cave for various things well worth a visit
A great shop, full of history. It's a good shop for a browse. The cafe is good for its pricing. I think the street that it's on and shop fronts including this on are a little tired, giving it a run down feel, however once you're in the shop it has a good feel and atmosphere to it. Worth a visit if you like random artifacts, antiques or something quirky.
Fun just to walk around looking for "blasts from the past". Good bargains to be had if you look. Friendly, helpful staff
Love this shop, lots of great quirky stuff
Some lovely stuff, reasonable prices
If you like antiques shops you can't miss this place. It has everything you can think of! Old furniture, jewellery, special items for collectors, even those creepy but very interesting things you expect to find in places like this!
The place is huge and they have implemented a very useful and effective one way system to walk the place.
Possibly my favourite place to shop in Norwich, can spend hours walking round here checking out all the second-hand/vintage/antique furnishings on offer. Decent book/music section upstairs and lots of clothing racks throughout. Can find a bargain easily but they have plenty of expensive designer stuff on sale too. Used to only take cash but now cards too from behind a perspex screen.
Interesting place, sometimes a little over priced ?but then maybe I'm not a good negotiator. You will always find something you would like. The eames chair "could be an eames" ? But wasn't, buyer beware .
If you ever think "where can I get some purple elephant statues with wellingtons on? " or "I need an antique washing machine and also some jam", then this is the place for you. They sell so many different things. It's a joy just to browse around. The gem of anglia Square.
Fabulous place for nostalgia and memorabilia. Huge array of collectables.
You could loose yourself in this shop, such a great selection of oddities to find. A must for a visit to Norwich!
Full to the brim with really old stuff! Not necessarily antiques but certainly a lot of items that will make you feel very nostalgic if you're of a certain age. There's a lot of tat quite frankly but equally there are some real gems amongst it. Ultimately it's great for just wandering around the huge 2 storey shop for some real 'blast from the past' moments.
Could have spent hours in here. Easy access.
Wonderful can spend all day in there
Visited here a couple of weeks ago when up visiting family. Saw the reviews and thought I’d have to visit myself- I wasn’t disappointed at all. Saw a great variety of items, pricing varies depending on the dealer; but that’s the same everywhere I go to be fair.
If I hadn’t come by train I think I would have left with much more!! The ladies who were at the till were excellent, so helpful & friendly; made you want to come back just on the level of service.
When I went upstairs, I must admit it was ‘wow’ there was just so much; and that’s not a complaint!! It was quite strange that there were two much older; dare I say elderly ladies in the corner of what was perhaps their items but their comments & stares to potential customers put people off going to have a look. There was a group of 3 students walking in front of me who did a complete U turn when greatest by them; they clearly made people feel uncomfortable, I have to admit that included me!! Perhaps someone should have a quite word!!
Anyway- loved the place so much that I’m going back today!! Can’t wait to see what little gems I can find!
Great indoor antiques Market with a good range of traders and stock. Well organised with clear routes through to minimise contact.
Literally my favourite shop in Norwich ever. You must allow yourself at least an hour. A whole day could be lost wandering round this treasure cave. 😍❤️
I love places like Looses which is full of many interesting things. The space inside is huge and you can get lost in there with the amount of things to look at. Worth a visit if you want to furnish your home with interesting items.
This treasure trove of hundreds and thousands of antique, vintage, retro and bizarre but appealing items from toys and coins to furniture and phones. Hours can be spent wandering the many aisles and shelves and when you think you've finished there are more and more rooms offering even more treasure. You are bound to find something here whether you need it or not, obviously prices differ depending on the items but they are usually fairly reasonable. You cannot miss this place with its shop front of boxes and chairs outside. A must visit.
Looses is a huge indoor antique market on two floors with a large and often eclectic selection of everything from furniture and clothes to books and DVDs. The amount of stuff here is a bit overwhelming but if you like antiques then you should check this place out along with Alladins Cave just down the road and St Gregory's church.
A small, sensibly priced cafe there serves drinks and snacks if you need some refreshment.
Massive warehouse of antiques, furniture, clothes and so much more. There is a tearoom too which was nice for a quick break before returning to browsing. So much to see here, its definitely worth a visit
Looses is a great place to find all sorts of things I have bought a lot of my furniture there. I like old wood furniture and have also found things for friends such as a metre high wood giraffe and old comics for a school project. Old car parts for a man shed. Look for yourself you will be surprised.
Large shop over two floors with various items, lots of lower priced products of the car boot variety. Worth a visit. Short walk from the main town but worth the trip to search for goodies.
I come here for the vinyl ! I nearly always find an unusual or interesting album for a couple of quid max. There is a dealer downstairs who has three or four large boxes of good and varied albums for three quid a pop. Not bad at all , when even charity shops are charging silly expensive prices these days ! Long may it continue !!
Incredible shopping gem for those who enjoy the unusual, vintage, upcycled, antique, shabby chic. It's one big shop, on two floors, but broken up into lots of different traders, meaning that you get quite a bit of variety, and when you become a regular you do learn each trader's 'specialism'. With this, you do also get quite wildly different pricing, where something will seem expensive for what it is, and in other instances you'll be looking at the bargain of a lifetime; for example, a few months back I picked up a full real leather ottoman with wooden legs and brass wheel feet for the grand total of £35!!!! Everyone is friendly and helpful, and there's always a deal to be had. Highly recommended!!
Fantastic place for Antiques, vintage, mid century. 2 floors packed full of interesting reasonably priced furniture and collectables. Could spend hours browsing. Excellent coffee shop downstairs.
Always great to browse. Always come away with something. Love it.
Soooo much to see, a little overwhelming, but worth the visit. I wouldn't suggest certain areas for kids as there is a lot of valuable breakables which as an adult I was worried about knocking, so for children may be a bit too much.
I found the upstairs wonderful and really do need to go back again for another look around.
What an Alldins cave, I had a great time walking round this Emporium
I was taken back to my childhood.
They have things in there you never now you wanted.
Also have a small but very nice cafe (hot teacakes) oh dear
It's of the beatten track but a must if you are in Norwich.
Absolutely great. You can literally find things of all sorts. From second-hand furnitures to stunningly rare book collections. Staff is helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is really relaxing. A must!!
I love this antiques/bric-a-brac emporium. Its actually an old building spread over two floors and it is packed with gorgeous items, pretty items, essentials, furniture, books, outside/garden items and so much more.
Clean and always well presented it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to go here
And hard to leave without a purchase, or two
Looses is a great place to find antique and modern furniture and collectables. There's always something interesting there and on several occasions we've ended up buying something we didn't know we needed, but had to have. The shop is arranged on two large floors, with separate dealers buying pitches. Upstairs at the back is a very well organized book shop, elsewhere you'll find clothing, furniture, jewelry, kitchenware, electricals - you get the idea. The cafe and customer toilets are also a very welcome addition. Prices tend to be at about the going rate rather than outright bargains but that's fair enough isn't it?
Huge and eclectic collection of antique and vintage goods in a massive building. I could have spent all day in there. Prices are good though most items are unmarked, so you may need to haggle. Great for furniture, house wares, books, lights, with some clothing.
Emporium is a great description for this place. Two floors crammed full of an eclectic collection of furniture, vintage clothing and general artifacts. Not the cheapest place in the world but a really interesting way to spend a couple of hours browsing. Good in-house cafe for when you need a break!
An Aladdin's cave of wonders. Huge variety of antiques and second hand items. Furniture, books, clothes, records, record players juke boxes, vintage clothes, glassware....the list goes on. Well worth a visit. Give yourself time to go round as there is so much to see.
So much to see, found a few bits and pieces to buy and added hundreds of things to my "want list". Everyone was super nice and friendly, offering to help whenever we reached a different section.
They are very helpful and friendly and even haggle, tho probably won't like me saying that 😁
A shop full of antiques, clothes and some intesting objects.a great cafe too well worth calling by.
Good stock, helpful staff. Just need to put price tags on the items as they can be a bit steep, which makes for an unexpected surprise at the till.
Always full of surprises! This time I found a book about country houses, but in the past, I've got random baskets, pictures and items of furniture here. They seem to have made the layout a bit better at the back recently.
There's some real hidden gems in here, with styles ranging from classic farmhouse to retro 70s. Everything from sideboards, to sofas, and everything in-between.
Some items did seem a little overpriced considering their condition and popularity, but other pieces of furniture were a real bargain; perfect for furnishing a home on a budget.
This was our first visit very large premises two floors could spend all day there and still not see everything will be going again.
Everything from old furnishings electrical toys endless of things to be seen we thoroughly enjoyed it Mike and Sheila
Lots to see.
Spread over 2 floors
Some unusual stuff
Mahoosive store... not sure we saw it all
It's almost impossible to visit Looses and walk out empty handed. I did this for the first time the other day though, but then a truck turned up a few days later with my delivery. Fair prices, quality items, excellent selection.
Lots of exciting items here. From dining tables to vintage lights, there's everything you need to furnish a home. Friendly helpful staff and delivery too 😊
Great place to explore
Better as they have changed things around.
Great vintage and antique emporium.
Amazing antiques centre on Magdalen Street Norwich
Can literally spend ages here wandering around
Only minuses - no on site parking - though two pay and display car parks about 5 mins away
And staff not always that friendly - especially if you are "only" buying something cheap
But highly recommended in any case if you are in the area and have some time to kill
Huge array of various trinkets, furniture, lamps, storage, ornaments, art and other precious things. You can while away hours perusing here, and that's before you realise there's an upstairs!
Extraordinary Emporium. Everything from Chesterfield armchairs to Robinson's Gollys.
Oh, and don't forget the Dalek...
Love this place, beautiful items and my type of shop. Huge amount of items and can take all day just browsing for the perfect piece. Not many staff but easy to find one if needed
This is definitely the place to go if you want something out of the ordinary I bought 4 kitchen chairs which look fantastic in my kitchen, went back again today for a fab leather chair I saw at the same time but my luck ran out it was sold!
What a lovely place ...all sorts of items, easily spend a whole day here. You are free to browse without any hassle. Loved it!
Nice mix of antiques and vintage. Good for vinyl records and there is even a very good cafe to contemplate your purchases! Two floors of potential bargains
Great place to find nice furnishings.
Lots of quirky bits.
A great antique shop where you can lose yourself for hours. Recently there has been a lot more handmade products instead of antiques but still great to look around. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful however one member of the team comes across quite standoffish.
Please note this is cash only
Excellent collection of furniture, amongst other things. The highlight was an absolutely horrific red/pink furry bed and wardrobe set which epitomised the 70s. It was ludicrously priced (somewhere near £2k iirc) and gave me nightmares for weeks afterwards.
Very interesting place. It has a mixture of old, retro and collectables. It also has some shabby chic furniture. It's good that it has a cafe and toilets.
Bought a cool .50 cal bullet case cut to fit a clipper lighter, new clipper included.loads of cool stuff to browse could spend a day in there lost in time and memory's.
Such a variety of goods. A great walk around. Well behaved dogs welcome too!
I love going antique-ing so i love visiting antique shops now this one is a good one it’s got a pretty good selection of a lot of different stuff so go a get inspired I can always find something that tweaks my imagination
OK I used to love coming but prices have gone up and I can find as good items for less else where but give it a look if your passing it is a great place worth a view
Be prepared to spend a great deal of time in here.
Anything from bric-a-brac to rare antiques, there is something for everyone.
Thousands of books and records upstairs that you never thought you needed!
What strikes me everytime I visit is just how much stuff there is - absolutely tonnes of it and a great deal is hidden under yet more stuff.
Visited for the first time recently lots interesting and varied stock - worth a visit will be back next time I'm in Norwich.
Pretty much my favourite new shop. Only went in to browse and walked out with a sofa, lamp, clothes stand and storage box. God knows what will happen when I go there to actually buy something....
It's an enormous premises and a real treasure trove for those on the look out for unusual pieces of furniture, jewellery, homewares etc. If Ikea is the opposite of what you stand for, this is the place for you. Even has a little café too
Got a good unit here for very reasonable price, have also bought a few books and vinyls here, you will struggle to not find something you like!
A lovely place to explore. Full of treasure. Be sure to walk to the back of the shop to visit the bear, the horse and the dalek. Staff are friendly.
Loads of things to look at, you need plenty of time to look properly.
Flea market selling a wide variety of goods. Stock turnover is slow, so give it a couple of months between visits. Some gems can be found, but also a lot of tat.
Aladdin's cave for anything and everything under one roof. Can take literally hours to walk round and see everything. Well worth a visit.
Could have spent hours in there. You never know what you will find, that's part of the fun.
Pricey. Mental selection. Honest service. Golden cavern.
Not to bad getting old now. The cafe inside is worth a visit very nice place to eat staff were great made you feel welcome.
I liked the old stuff and nice red bed with speakers. The wooden stuff was alright and those plastic things were weird, they looked like large dvds, no idea what they were for.
Well worth a meander. This shop is a lot larger and packed with items that you don't see from the front. You're bound to find something that you want.
Has some awesome furniture and random bits and pieces, sometimes at really good prices. Can sometimes be a bit expensive for what it is.
The place doesn't accept card which can be annoying.
So many bits and pieces here. Some are real treasures. Some, not so much. Good fun to look around even if you don't buy. And always worth a haggle.
Looses Emporium has so much to look at and such a lot of interesting and unique things and with a cafe and toilets make it a place you can take your time in and relax a lovely place with friendly people.
It's a good shop to have a mosey around for awhile. Unfortunately it's cash only, which is a bit strange in this day and time. Especially when some of the pieces are a large amount of money.
An eclectic range of antique and vintage - I'm delighted with the ibex style chairs that I purchased - good condition at a reasonable price and helpful staff.
Fun.
You can spend a bit of time wondering around the two floors. Don't be fooled everything can be negotiated try your horse bidding skills out here.
Loved this shop. Orignal. Fun and a diverse range of items. The staff are very helpfull too.
Simply fantastic to buy old stuff
This place is so good, you can spend an age here just looking at stuff, two floors of antiques.. Old and modern..
Very much enjoy finding the weird and wonderful items here- there are new things every time I visit
Massive massive place which also has a cafe. Lots of hidden treasures and the staff are always helpful. Plenty of time spent searching in here
Not a new shop for me but I am still surprised when I visit. I bought myself a lovely wooden table from here, a little expensive but I think it's an antique. So it should last.
Great bought a lovely oak console table for good price, a proper antique. So much to look at so give yourself a couple of hours.
Fantastic for the unusual items..
You'll need a good couple of hours to browse and see everything on offer but well worth it 👍
Brilliant collection of any thing you could possible want. And a very good cafe, great coffee and cakes.
Amazing place! And it's huge! It goes way, way back, and upstairs too. Huge range of stuff. Retro heaven!

You'll need a day off to check out all this place has on offer!!! So many stalls/vendors - can even grab a coffee to recharge 👍
Great place to look for things, books, furniture, antique and retro jewelry
What can I say fantastic displays of decayed elegance spread over 2 floors within a classic old store with a cracking little cafe beats Starbucks any day quintessentially English
Always good to have a browse around for an hour or so and see all the fantastic and weird old furniture and other items.
A brilliant place to wander around and look at all the brick a brac and antiques. You may well come out having bought something.

Easy to loose track of time in there. Always end up finding something you weren't looking for!
Nice and very interesting place to find that novel item from yesteryear . Only down side I found was it was a little cramped and I felt a little uneasy moving around with my young son and items where a little to pricey.
I could lose myself in this shop and love that you are able to find tremendous treasures under one roof.
Lots of stuff all over the place. I went in looking for a particular item, asked a member of staff and they pointed me in the right direction. Despite the place being full, they still knew where to find it!
Friendly staff, lots of items (just a bit old looking)
Incredible Aladdin's cave. Goes on forever. Too much to take in so we'll be back

(Translated) Fantastic! You really find everything and more than good prices. Frighteningly large. Two floors and several rooms. There is the risk of being confused by how much stuff there is. You need to have a morning at your disposal and lots of patience and perseverance. But you will be rewarded.

Fantastico!
(Translated) Huge shop of antiques and second-hand objects. You can find furniture, clothes, records and anything you can imagine. They even have a small cafeteria inside to wear cakes and coffee. Totally recommended to get lost between the different rooms with a multitude of objects.

Incluso tienen una pequeña cafetería en el interior donde desgastar pasteles y café. Totalmente recomendable para perderse entre las diferentes estancias con multitud de objetos.
