Reviews of Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library

Always enjoy coming here with my daughter. Children's area is very well-laid out. Such a wide variety of books, all modern copies. Staff are very helpful, friendly and happy. Used to come for Bounce & Rhyme but daughter is too old. Must book in advance online (due to Covid-19). Also has their own toilet and weighing scales.
Never used the computers in the main area but the self-service checkouts are very easy to use.
Used to use the Cd and DVD section but haven't done so for a few years. Photocopier is near children's area, under the stairs.

I would like to rate it more than 5 stars given a chance. The library location and ease of accessibility is great. The staff are really helpful and the are following great safety protocols for the pandemic.
The collection of books is mind blowing and the ease at which you can Borrow and Return books is the best. Just love the place.

All of the Norfolk libraries are exceptional. However my overriding vote must go to the Mobile Library Service as they deliver superb service to the parts of Norfolk that aren't served anyway else

Excellent. The lady on the American Library Section was very helpful and went straight to the book I needed. The system for borrowing books is very easy to use too. First time I had used the Library for many years but found it easy and practical.

Children's library is amazing. Got a lot of books for the new baby

Absolutely amazing place! We have spent hours and hours in here. My daughter loves it! Highly recommend the rhyme time for younger children.

It regularly held the title for the most used library in the UK, it probably still does hold it but the new library in Birmingham is probably the latest contender for it. Remarkably you don't need to be a librarian to work there, that is surprising, and it can occasionally show. Normally it's an incredibly reliable place, staff will happily search for any enquiry. Family History wise, it holds the entire St Mary's Index for births, marriage and deaths, along with overseas and forces from 1837-2003. It holds a great amount of church records and newspapers. More can be found at the main Norfolk Family History Centre at County Hall. The problem is when the computers go down, it affects the whole county and not just one library. Otherwise staff are happy with some of them returning to work in the new library who had originally been in the old library.

Lovely! Particularly enjoyed taking my son to the Kid's library. Lots of books and other fun things to do there!

Excellent public library. Includes Norfolk Heritage Centre, a dedicated children's library and the American Library, which commemorates US airman who died. Flying from Norfolk in WW2

The selection of books is excellent. One thing I'd perhaps like is more working spaces for people who want to go there and work in silence. Sometimes it's a very noisy environment which is fine, but it would be nice to have special area where you could go and concentrate. If you are a member you can go from 8am-10am, which is the most quiet time and that is when I would recommend to people looking for a more "library"-like experience.

It is the best service we have in central Norwich. These days during covid era I go there to print documents since the printer does not work at our base. We are the Norfolk African Community Association (NACA) - constituted, not for profit voluntary organisation, founded on 19 Novenber 1999. The Organic Allotments programme which began in 2000 have celebrated its 20th annivarsary on 18 December 2022, long may it continue.

Have been taking my children there for 10 years at least. It's a great space for children of all ages to read books and relax. They regularly have things going on that keep the little ones entertained. A real asset to the city and its children.

Huge selection of books, dvds, games, cds for both children and adults. Spacious and clean inside, lots of staff around too if you're stuck or have a question. Reminders always sent to your email address when your item is to be returned. Lots of computers available as well as cheap printing/scanning. Very relaxed atmosphere at children's library downstairs.

Great selection of books spanning a wide range of genres. You can easily request books to be sent in from other Norfolk libraries. The team are really friendly and more than happy to help.
If you want to use the computer or printing services it's best to avoid the middle of the day as the computers are often all in use.

One of the best libraries in the country - a good selection of books and audiovisual material, nice places to work and sit, modern IT facilities and free wifi. A good place to get some work done or just get lost in a book. It's just a shame council cuts have reduced their opening hours, especially in the mornings which are unstaffed (and you have to be a member) which is a shame if you need staff assistance.

Open and friendly space for children to read and interact with the books and activities

A massive library with everything you want - if it's not there, you can probably get the book in from another library. Downstairs, there are lots of children/teen books and CDs, then on the top floor there are all of the fiction and non-fiction books, including about 20 public computers.

Absolutely amazing place .. Kids enjoy activities and reading...

Well organised, seemed a bit extreme in terms of Covid precautions, but I guess it is wise to do that until restrictions are completely removed and the chances of another lockdown are gone.

Fantastic library with a great selection of books etc. In COVID-19 era, they have a good system in place and staff are very helpful.

Friendly and very conveniently located library with a wide selection of books, audio books, comic books, music, films and TV series. Registration takes 2 minutes (you'll need a proof of address for full membership).

(Translated) With 1.3 million visits in 2013, this library, far from the big cities of the United Kingdom, became one of the most prominent for the English.
One of the secrets to understanding this figure is that this library takes into account what people want to read. Their vocation is also key to being attentive to education and everything that has to do with the training of citizens in labor matters.
The library is located within the City Forum. A space with the appearance of a shopping mall, but inside we find institutions that provide citizen services.
