Came for the first time today as was in the area. My daughter wanted to look at the rabbits and fish. We also needed cat food. The cat section is quite large and spread out but easy to find everything you need. Pets to buy are at the front of the store. Vets is at the back. Was surprised to see a dog grooming shop as the Salhouse Road branch doesn't have one. Would prefer the vets to be upstairs (like Salhouse road) as the space was very little and felt crowded when browsing cat food.

This pets at home is the same as the others. Well lit, well signed, organised. Things are fairly easy to find depending what your looking for. I was getting cat nip for my furry grandson (daughters cat) as he LOVES it. As you can see he is laying in his tube with it all over the place. And for £10 its a big tub. Also got this little skineeze mouse for £3. It has catnip in it, but you can't refill it which was disappointing. But Ziggy loves it so its not a waste. The staff were friendly & we weren't having to wait long to be served. Would I use this shop again?? YES

Got ourselves geared up for our 8 week old miniature Labradoodle puppy "Luna" after two years of losing our beloved Labradoodle Obi. Professional staff as always, great that people can take in their dogs, wish more shops were like this.

They don't have much locusts etc for reptiles, every time I've gone in there it's always empty in that area. Bought a hamster from here, when it was vet checked I got told its a she (actually very much a he) and the cages that are on sale are very much too small for Syrian hamsters. The staff is lovely though, always polite, just a shame they don't have what I need.

Very expensive place, don't like the vets there, I had a engish bull terrier that was ill it took my dog there, it took a wk and a half to figure out what was wrong with her, cost me more money because of untrained people . In the end they told me she had been poisoned. By that time she, was in so much pain these vets don't care about your dog just the money. And there has been alot of people getting there dog put down because of a straight forward operation on a leg injury. Pure healthy dog that was only a year old. Becareful with this place.

It's a pretty decent pets at home, exactly what you'd expect. We use the vet there for our cat. It's seems pretty variable of which one you get and how good the care is, or at least how the perceived care is (I think some of the vets there might just be more of a "people person" which just give the impression of better care, but I imagine it's all good) ... but on balance it's all pretty good.

Till staff are courteous. The vets seems to be quite busy and I believe it to be because of the wonderful veterinary staff, they take your pet for their consultation and keep cats and dogs to separate sides putting them at ease. Our dog is quite nervous around strangers but the bet was very gentle and understanding. The prices are fair around the store and there is ample parking outside.

Pets at Home is everybody's go-to store for pet supplies. It has stocked every dog accessory and spacious cages, cat towers and bird areas! I wish they'd stock a little more indoor bird accessories and play areas, but they do stock quality pellets and toys for them. Their small pets and fish in-store are well cared for, and the dog grooming service is friendly and excellent. The dogs look very pampered and loved during their watery experience. They even have live insects for reptile feed but they won't have many vivariums on sale. Fish tanks are quality and well-priced. Pets at Home is always somewhere I'm happy to run to when I'm out of something!

Went to go and buy a hamster! They only had 2 syrians to choose from, but we got everything we needed and the man who sold me the hamster (I think his name was Danny?) Was amazing! Told me absolutely everything I needed to know, illnesses to watch out for, what treats, food, and bedding. So helpful! Well stocked with most things I need- and my pets are pretty diverse (ranging from a hamster and rat to a snake and tarantula!). The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and there's a vet available too. The one thing that does concern me is the presence of hamster balls and too-small wheels- these are popular items but are known to distress hamsters and cause spinal damage and pain.

Always always always end up buying more pets when I'm here. Must avoid... On a serious note, although it is frowned upon to buy animals from places like this, our latest addition of 3 hamsters have numbed my scepticism of production line pets. They are amazing. The selection of foods and treats for our other animals makes this shop the go to place for bargains and quality products.

We have been using Pets at Home nr their in house vets for years now. We always find what we need in the shop, which we don't find that expensive. All the vets and nurses are brilliant. We now have the Pet Care plan with the vets which for our cat costs us £10 a month. This covers all her flea and worming treatment, her yearly booster injection, 1 free appointment with the nurse along with nail clipping (if needed) plus lots of other benefits which would cost a lot more than the £120 the policy costs.

A large pet shop which I have always found stocks whatever I've been looking for. There is also a vets within the building which we use as well and have always been happy with the service they provide. Plenty of car parking immediately outside is also very useful if you are carrying something heavy or have a pet in a container for a visit to the vets.

We've adopted 1 bunny and 2 guinea pigs from this shop as we wanted to give a home full of love. Kids are really happy with our little angels. A little detail but very important one for future parents who are thinking to adopt is that "the pets from adoption section" are not insured in any way as soon as you walk out the shop, you are liable for their vets bills. Even if you took an already sick pet. Also if you are thinking to adopt prepare to pay a made up "minimum" compulsory donation.

Does what it says on the tin - sells stuff for pets. In all honesty I have never found them that cheap. But my mate had a voucher and a very helpful member of staff helped her as to what she could spend it on Also bought some "fat balls" for birds which were cheaper than poundshop! !

I now only buy cat litter from here as the majority of their stock is overpriced and I cannot justify paying more for the same items I can get from Asda. The own brand ultra performance cat litter is the best I’ve tried in my cats 10 years as it’s super absorbent, dust free and clumps really well. Odour control is minimal but I get a litter spray from Asda which is better than bob martins granules with a much more subtle scent (Bob Martin is quite strong smelling and makes my cat sneeze to the point of boycotting her litter box).
