C. M.Great service, knowledgeable staff members. I was looking for a new graphic novel and didn't know what I wanted, so after chatting the guy at front desk too me round some he recommended and was really helpful. The one I brought fit the bill perfectly.
Would rather travel to here from Sheffield than go elsewhere.

They’re currently renovating and his temporary set up is better than other permanent stores I’ve been in. Will definitely be visiting again.
J. B.This is a really nice comic shop. It’s tightly curated so that it’s small size is not a detriment, there’s a lot of stock in here and they move old stock on at a discounted price, so picked up some bargain issues I wouldn’t have gone for. Quite an eclectic selection and lovely to see small press, independents and unexpected titles and especially ephemera. The manager was quite informative when I asked a question, overall well worth a visit for anyone interested in comics or who want to start out.

H. H.Ordered some comics from the website during lockdown last year. Went to pick them up about 5 days later and was told they weren't available, full-stop. I was confused seeing as there was nothing stopping me from buying them on the website? It felt like I was being blamed for not knowing what was/wasn't in stock. The guy serving was quite condescending but I thought maybe this was a one-off.
Then, earlier this year, my friend wanted to see if there were any Shang-Chi comics since we just saw the film and she's getting into comics. When she asked, the man was yet again rude and made a disparaging comment about how people are only looking for those comics now they're mainstream. That's how exposure works?
Not sure if this attitude was because we're girls, which I know can be an issue at comic book stores, but honestly I feel more comfortable down the road at Forbidden Planet. I do truly hope that the staff can figure out how to improve their customer service though, because they do have a nice collection. All the best.

L. N. H.A wide variety of comics available: politics, fantasy, social drama, childhood... Or a mix of all that. Diverse narrative formats and graphic styles too. Genres are mostly split into shelves. There is also a small shelf for manga (mixed genres) and a back shelf for superhero comics.
Prices seem standard, with no special discount. If you go for a long series you may consider other stores, but it should be fine for one-shots and occasional purchases.
EDIT: it is actually possible to order volumes of a specific series if not available in store, so you could also get your longer series there if there are not already on shelf due to limited space.
B.Brilliant staff, who know what they sell, make it that much easier to find what you need! Even order it in for you if they don't have it
S. T.Nottingham's best independent comic bookshop! Visit this place every time I'm in the area as it stocks a wide range of comics and graphic novels. The staff are friendly and approachable, and always happy to offer recommendations based on your interests and past reading experiences. They offer a standing order option if you want anything regularly, and can search for a comic/graphic novel if they don't have it in stock.

s. w.Absolutely fantastic store. Cannot go as often as I would like, due to working hours mainly. First time I was a customer, was when they were in Virgin store, then through to Angel Row, to where Page 45 is now. Originally Mark and Stephen and increased and developed through time. The only constant is the high quality service and the great selection they have.
S. R.Love this store, most the staff give a superb service, remember their customers and are happy to have a chat about products and comics in general. It's great to be able to talk about a shared interest with these guys. They are highly likely to have exactly what I am looking for, and if not are more than happy to order it for me and will recommend some great new reads. Great prices and also have a student discount. I'm away at uni but still make sure to get my comics here because I love the store. The only negative is that they will convince you to buy more comics (and the one staff member who I've seen be occasionally rude).
M. K.A well stocked, well laid out shop. I love all the handwritten reviews. I have always found both Jonathan and Stephen really helpful. They were excellent recommending some choice reads for friends that I brought in who were new to comics. Definitely a place to visit and revisit when in Nottingham.
P. F.Been shopping here for 3 and a bit years now and it's always been a pleasant experience. Truly an excellent store, staffed by really great people. Everyone in the store is very friendly and very knowledgeable, always happy to help with recommendations, and I've had some brilliant comics recommended that I never would have thought to try. Great selection too, not simply big two and capes, although there's a fair amount of that too if that floats your boat. Great for students too as they do a 10% student discount.
The other comic shop in town, Forbidden Planet, simply can't compare with this amazing service and selection.

Not only do they have a great selection of comics and graphic novels on offer, they also take the time to make personal recommendations if you ask them - all of which have been spot on for me! A. W.Great layout and design to store plus staff with above average knowledge. However one such bald male staff member seems over aware of such fact and although helpful can lack a great amount of base public service gentile. I've worked in customer service and book stores and had friends work in comic stores over the years but I've never been so shocked at the attitude of someone on counter service. If you visit and are served by this man try to take him in spoonfuls and appreciate the better aspects of what the store provides cause if honest I feel I may not be the only person who has felt the need to avoid after peering in to see if he is serving.
R. C.I love this place. For the longest time I only used Amazon to pick up comics as where I live it's at least a half hour drive to even a book store! But Page 45 is worth the time.
The layout is great, showcasing lesser known titles up front that might lead you to find something new or original to try, then leading you to the back wall with the DC/Marvel and monthlies. The reason for this (at least from my perspective) is that these guys seriously want to help independent and lesser known artists, writers etc. And if you search for these guys on Twitter you'll see that the creators love them to!
With regards to the reviews from a few people regarding rude staff, I've only ever seen them be passionate and helpful, I'm sure the experiences happened as they said but I truly believe these were the exception and nine times out of 10 you'd be leaving Page 45 happy, with a stack of great books, and, if you're like me, quite a bit lighter in the wallet!
