Unfailingly friendly and very professional service. While they are extremely efficient with newspaper supply and delivery, Court Candy is so much more than a newsagent; they have been particularly supportive during the pandemic offering to deliver milk and groceries to help any customers who had difficulty in getting out. A huge and much appreciated benefit to the local community.

Five stars not enough for this place. Service is unfailingly friendly and any issue is immediately sorted. When you learn that the owner not only gets up at 4 am to sort the papers, but then goes off to work as a doctor, you know that it is a very special outfit, totally deserving of everyone's support.

For 10 years Court Candy has delivered newspapers to my home in Summertown with the utmost care and reliability. Papers are never left where they can get wet and always arrive well before breakfast. On the few occasions when papers arrive late it is always due to distribution problems beyond the control of the newsagent and a prompt apology with explanation is invariably supplied. Accurate and easily understood invoices are supplied with my newspaper delivery and can be paid in a variety of ways. The stock of publications on sale at the shop is wide and includes foreign newspapers and magazines. Sneaky looks at headlines and even the occasional article of newspapers on display are met by the staff with a polite pretence of not noticing. During the Covid lockdown Khanak, the hard-working manager, enabled those locked down to receive essential food and other items with their newspaper delivery. Exceptional, friendly and courteous service all round!

Court Candy and Khanak, the owner and staff, have been a beacon of friendly, supportive community service over many years, none more so than in the recent year. She has risen to the challenge of delivering almost anything customers needed, particularly those unwilling or unable to get out, with an unfailing smile. This, on top of her job in Bath hospital, which for most people would be enough. Court Candy has truly been “on the front line”.

Khanak and her team provide an excellent service for delivering newspapers in our part of Oxford - personal, responsive and courteous. The shop appears to stock any publication you might need. Khanak's father ran it brilliantly, and now Khanak is maintaining his very high standards. We recommend it highly - it's a small business we're very lucky to have.

We have been Court Candy customers for 15 years or so and have always found them a model of efficiency, reliability and above all else friendliness. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for them in our day-to day dealings with them. But the period of the pandemic has seen them rise to new heights of customer service. My wife and I - both elderly - have been in severe lockdown but have been able to take great comfort from the knowledge that any need we might have had, however small or difficult, would be met after a simple phone call. We have particularly appreciated the willingness of Khanak, the proprietor's daughter, to ensure that we were never short of essentials. Indeed, we now regard Khanak, who also works full-time in the NHS, as a very special friend. We shall forever be indebted to Court Candy and particularly to Khanak.
