J. H. F.Well done to everyone who works and runs the local library, they always put on so many amazing events and for all ages
J. L.I took my 3 year old grandson along to join today and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the covid precautioned while effective were not overly intrusive and library 'experience ' for the little folk was well presented. We came away with his own members card and 3 books 📚 that he couldn't wait for Nana to read to him .
S. W.Once upon a time this was the home of the Wade family (Wade Park Avenue is just behind) but it's been the community library now since at least the 1960s. Nowhere near it's glory days but it still runs great activities for the kids and the wider community.

A. B.A small but homely library serving a population of 18,000. Well resourced in terms of staff and resources but sadly only open about 17 hours per week. The library is currently under threat from County Council who plan for it to be managed entirely by press-ganged volunteers.
