I took my 8yr old daughter here on 27 August 2022. We decorated a mermaid, lighthouse and a plate. The staff are so lovely and friendly. I explained we needed the pottery quickly as we were going back to Japan and they made sure it was ready within a few days. Such a wonderfully relaxing experience, great value for money.

Loved our time spent here painting our little pieces. There was a lot of choice which was great. The staff were nice enough to allow us to have the fired items posted to us as we were only visiting. Items take around a week to be fired so ideal if you are local.

Lovely place to go, the lady was so nice and helpful! Though there is a 2 hour time slot we wasn't hurried out and actually ended up staying for over 3 hours as the tables weren't needed! Such good prices too! Definitely will be returning

We have been to Clayart twice now while on holiday in Devon during school breaks. A perfect way to spend an afternoon. The owners are so welcoming. Highly recommended. Word of advice... it takes a few days for your items to be fired in the kiln so if your on holiday make sure you have enough time to pop back otherwise the items will need to be posted to you.

We called last minute and the lovely people there managed to get all 7 of us in! It's a fabulous set up. We had a couple of hours of fun and produced some lovely memories and Christmas items to treasure!

Definitely worth taking the kids to do if in Plymouth but you'll need to collect a week after doing or I believe they can post to you but you would need to ask. And you will need to book wor weekends and school holidays. Brilliant and friendly staff.

Spent a really enjoyable and relaxing Sunday afternoon here with a friend and her 5 year old. The choice of things to paint was way too much; took forever to choose. Staff were friendly and helpful, always on hand to correct mistakes made. I noticed there seemed to be more adults that kids in here, so clearly an excellent place for a date :o)

Chuffed to find this wonderful place! We've been to a fair few pottery painting cafes and this has been our favourite experience. It's small and friendly (but they still managed to find us a space without a booking - next time we'll phone ahead) and the ladies who run it are really friendly, and brilliant at explaining how to use the paints to best effect. We also felt the brushes, paints and ceramics were better quality than we've seen before and so the finished item is much more professional looking than usual. We found that it worked out as better priced - with postage - than most others we've been to as well. A real winner and we'll be back!

The best. This was a last minute choice. We booked online for 3 of us, real easy. My 5YO son loved it. The staff are 10/10, they explained the colour chart along with the layer system, also giving us tips and tricks. Once finished its around 2 weeks for the delivery

We have been there a couple of times, with mixed results. There is a good selection of things to paint and they serve hot and cold drinks. The staff a generally friendly. However our recent visit, we was prompted that we had only 15 minutes left, we wasn't warned at the beginning there was a time limit, and to be suddenly told we had to finish soon, was a bit of a shock.

Amazing! Fun for kids or arty adults.. get to choose from a huge range of plain pottery peices, the staff are patient and explain everything and are attentive if you need help. Not overly expensive for the service. They do in store hot drinks and birthday parties. I wish there was something like this local to where I live.

We recently attended the glass fusing evening in Clay Art on Plymouth's Barbican, and what a great time we had!!! We've never done any glass fusing before, but the staff were very helpful and clearly explained how to use tools to get the results we wanted. Large array of glass, decorative pieces and various trimmings were also available to use freely and we had wonderful time. I highly recommend a visit. What a treat. And our creations were great, by the way!
