Very nice experience. Managed to purchase what I needed at a competitive price and pleasant staff. Only one request (not only at Hobbycraft but stores everywhere) as a customer with mobility problems please could we have a few seats dotted around the store so we can have an occasional rest? (I know in some places they were removed because of covid infection spread but it doesn't mean our mobility issues suddenly improve).

Great place to find a wide range of items covering so many different craft activities. I have bought items here for use myself for various occasions such as birthdays, weddings, baby showers etc. And also purchased gifts for others especially smaller family members who are just getting into their crafting and the box set kits are a perfect start for this. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for good quality affordable supplies. Which is further supported by the staff who are friendly and knowledgeable in various areas to help support and advise if there is something you are looking for.

If you love craft work you will love this place. The staff are super helpful and knowledgeable about a wide variety of crafts and the tools an materials needed. Competitively priced. Website does have slightly different products sometimes so worth checking both if you have a specific need or product. Such a big store for craft work. The craft work on the walls by local schools and groups is awesome.

Great store selling art and craft materials at OK prices. There are a huge range of products for a wide range of activities. I go specifically for art materials of which they have a huge range. They also sell a range of their own materials at very reasonable prices. They have some good special offers from time to time. It's worth joining their points scheme as you get a discount off your first purchase and a £5 voucher on your birthday!

I took a disabled person in the shop and asked an assistant who was extremely busy for help. She was absolutely brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for her and I made a point of telling the cashier about her. What a breath of fresh air to have someone be so helpful

It's fine really. Nice big store, although a bit out of the way if you're in the centre of town. It's weird because a lot of the stock doesnt seem to be priced - and often shelves look bare because there's only 1 of each thing out. Service was ok, a bit slow.. but I suppose that's Christmas.

There is a great variety of art and craft supplies for all ages, plenty for things for you to try out, maybe find a new hobby for yourself. I managed to get some lovely wool in the clearance section so I didn't have to pay too much either. More often then not you can find what you need, and if they don't have it you can always try their online shop.

I love this shop, it always has something that catches my eye and I always end up buying more than I intended! It is a large store over two floors with a lift as well as stairs. There are items in there for children, adults and various occasions. The bonus is the staff who are always extremely helpful and very friendly.

Excellent tools and supplies for a very wide range of crafts, most haberdashery is upstairs but there is a lift available which is easy to get to but only fits two people or one person and a buggy/wheelchair. There are often offers on and in general the basics are good prices. There are some classes available during the holidays for young children.

I love having a Hobby craft in Plymouth. Being a "crafty "person, I'm always desperate to find shops with a good selection of haberdashery, yarns and fabrics, generally things that I might use in my craft making. However, I never managed to find exactly what I'm looking for, which is a little bit frustrating. I could look online but actually I don't always want to buy online, as I prefer to see what I'm buying. It's great to have the option to buy online but to me there's nothing like actually looking at the product in front of you being able to look at its quality, to feel its quality and then decide whether you want to buy it.

A great little shop easy to access outside of the town centre but close enough that it could be tagged onto a visit to town. Easy to park there. We'll stocked and staff happy to help if you can't find what your looking for.

Such a diverse range of products. Very impressed. Wife found the sewing machine she wanted, daughter bought a crochet kit and I enjoyed browsing the plastic model kits (including Star Trek) although I wasn't allowed to buy one :-( Will return again.

Fair selection of most of the common items required by a new crafter, but you will need to source more specialist suppliers, for many professional level items. Try to be helpful within their knowledge-base, may need to ask several people first though. 😉 Prices are: average+++ per quality of product.

A very nicely set out shop and the staff are most helpful. However I found it very frustrating to find in both the Plymouth store and the one in Swindon that they do not stock spares and replacements for their own brand of equipment. Some but not all. They do stock other makes but not ones which fit their own make.

The staff here are really friendly and are willing to help you with any of your problems. I need help on which paints to use for a project and I was helped immensely. Would highly recommend going here for any of your hobby needs.

Although i haven't been a regular shopper in Hobbycraft, I do feel they have an incredible range of artistic materials available... Kind of nostalgic as they also sell model aircrafts by Revell. I used to build these growing up. And as i enjoy painting landscapes, i find their range of canvas' and brushes to be fantastic. In truth, they have a range from all sorts since it isn't just canvas' and brushes they sell. It is a huge selection of products. I would recommend this shop to any young artist, or accomplished artist who wishes to buy quality products at decent prices.

As an artist I regularly pop into Hobbycraft, they have many arts and crafts resources, including baking utensils, wool, sewing, spray paint, pencils & pens. My son is an avid user of Pro markers - which I would say are as good as Copics, Hobbycraft recently had a sale on these so I was able to stock up. Situated in Cattedown Retail Park on Exeter Street, Plymouth, Hobbycraft, has a two floor layout with a lovely see through elevater - extra security precaution. Other shops in the vicinity, include Pets at Home, Dunhelm Mill, Pound Shop and Pound Stretcher, Smith's Toy Shop and if you have money left Costa Coffee are there to he'll you out.
