I purchased a mattress this month and it was delivered within the week. The customer service was excellent and the assistant was most knowledgeable and helped me with my choice. I was impressed with the prices and the large range of beds/mattresses. It is most probable that I shall return when I need carpets before long.

I was amazed at how many beds I had to choose from. The guy there helped me with the right one for me. It was delivered 3 days later. The delivery guys were great. They took the polythene off the mattress and even adjusted the headboard. First class service all round.

November 2021 we needed our flat completely re-carpeted. We like to use local companies if possible and looked at Larry Speare. Don’t be put off by the location of their showroom, go in and talk to them and you will find them to be very helpful and knowledgeable. The communication was very good throughout and Kenny Speare in particular was exceptional in quickly resolving a problem we had. The choice was massive, the price fair, the fitters were courteous and did an excellent job, overall experience was very positive. I highly recommend Larry Speare Ltd.

Due to moving house we needed to fully carpet the new one. We visited a couple of carpet shop, one of which had not one bit of customer service, needless to say we walked out due to the ignorance of the staff. On arriving a Larry Spears we were met by a member of staff welcoming us with a smile asking what we wanted and if we needed any help. Then called over a guy from the carpet department, he went through the types and, prices, colours etc. Upon settling for what we wanted things were sorted quickly, we put a deposit down and Arranged for the place to be measured. A week later the carpets were in and fitted. Customer service goes a very long way when shopping, especially for large and important orders. If you are looking for a carpet we would highly recommend this store.

This is actually my second visit to this wonderful store in a week. I personally, have been a customer for 30 years. Great family business. I have moved homes quite often in that time, and although everyone is a paying customer, in any establishment you visit to purchase something, this place, because of the staff, is worthy of this review. First and foremost, there are plenty of staff. Well presented, smart, helpful but not in your face so to speak. The car park is large enough for my auntie Norma to park in it! (That's a story for, perhaps never on her parking). The store is large but not encumbered. Measurements on any room in your home are free when it suits you. The bed department upstairs has more than enough to offer, then some as you read the different variations of bed or mattress available. Don't expect it to be open on a Sunday. As I said earlier, it's a family business. As Larry once said to me, it is a family store, but if you work for me, you are family. Sunday is family time. Be safe everyone. Marcus.

Strange really, went to look at bunkbeds and bought a king size bed. Held for us until ready, then delivered when we asked. Bed quality excellent. Easy to assemble, solid construction. Been in use for two weeks now, very comfortable. Price put it in the affordable quality range, very competitive compared with some major retailers or online sites. Would highly recommend shopping at Larry Spears.

Had a big flooring and carpeting job to do for a large three stroy property, so went to Larry's. From start to finish the process was easy and professionally done. Great selection of vinyls and carpets that were fitted by skilled craftsmen and look fantastic. The price, all in, was the best around. I'm very happy thanks Larry! "... everyone knows thaaaaaat!"

Big car park, great variety of carpets in store! Staff are amazing, so helpful and knowledgeable of products and at a great price too, had a search around a couple of places and this place was cheapest by over a £100 savings and I've walked away with a much deeper carpet so definitely worth having a browse here

How brilliant was this service? We had visitors coming for the w/e and while making up the bed it broke literally! Panic. Off we went to Larry Spear's, good car parking and as we entered the shop was greeted by Larry himself and he showed us to the lift as my husband had broken his leg earlier in the ear. Super dept. for beds and a great assistant served us. I explained our dilemma, he said no problem. We choose a bed easily and in our limited price range. Not only did he promise to have the bed delivered that afternoon but they would put it together for free and take the old one away for a very small charge. We left the building by noon and true to their word the bed came at 3.00pm with 2 delightful men who quickly assembled the bed and cleared all the packing and the old bed. What wonderful service, thank you SO much. Please local people of Plymouth support your local businesses, get out into the shops and see and feel the goods before we lose all the shops. I felt I had to leave a review as the service I have experienced here has been faultless. From choosing the carpet to having it fitted, the process has been seamless. Kenny helped us to choose the right carpet for our very fussy teenage daughter. He was very patient and knowledgable, advising us on the best carpet for our needs . Never once did we feel pressurised into purchasing and went away with photographs of the carpets we liked to compare them to the wallpaper in the room. Needless to say we returned the following day and placed an order as we didnt feel we wanted or needed to look elsewhere. Within 48 hours the carpet was laid by two very polite and punctual fitters. I have to say it looks great and I have a very happy daughter. Thank you Larry Speare! We will be returning!
