This particular branch is tired looking and not very well laid out. Some staff members are lethargic and you get the feeling they are not enjoying working there. The staff are few and far between. I waited to be served upstairs but realised the non manned pay desk was just that even though a member of staff walked past and carried on around the corner. I did ask if she could serve me but I was ignored. I went downstairs, joined the queue and was served by a very pleasant lady. Whilst in the queue a customer was very vocally storming out as she couldn't find anyone to help her find something. Oh dear, not just me then! I think the Post Office located on the first floor keeps the shop going though difficult to access for older, disabled and parents/carers with prams.

The WHSmith and Beureu de change staff are always super friendly. There's a lady at the Post Office counter whose sole purpose in life is to be as unhelpful, unfriendly and as rude as she can possibly be; however, the other lady and the guy are superb every time. The machines are also handy if in a rush.

Used the post office facility set within the store. Good customer service from buoyant, cheerful, professional staff members. Great service.

This store has always been my choice for Magazines and books but since the move of the Main Post Office into the 1st floor there have been a lot of changes. Half the books upstairs have gone as well as 90% of the toys. Downstairs the magazines gave also suffered with a lot of the niche ones being removed to make room for items moved from upstairs.
Positive is the remaining selection is great and nicely displayed and the staff, as always, are polite and helpful.

For the size, the range of products is quite impressive. Gorgous albeit pricey stationary, decent offers on books and lots of magazines that are hard to find elsewhere. Upstairs, the post office staff are very friendly and there are self service checkouts so simple posting can be done without queuing up

On both occasions visiting this branch, the queue has been somewhat lengthy for the Post Office. I appreciate this is not wholly the fault of the staff, but would be nice to see more cashier desks open; especially during busy times. Self service can be a little chaotic as, ordinarily, not everyone understands how to use them. Nonetheless, always have had a pleasant experience using their services.

I go in this place nearly everyday to use the post office upstairs. Happy helpful friendly staff who provide a great service. Really good location in the centre of town.

Staff was helpful and I had no issue posting my parcels, however it would be nice to have a sign further back (closer to the stairs) for self service otherwise queues are always massive when they don't need to be - last time lots of people waiting and I had to ask around who was going to the counter and who was going to the self service and today it was 08:30 when I arrived and there was already a queue of about 10/12 people and I'm sure half of those wouldn't have any trouble using the self service machines
