I took my little girl here to look at the fish and get some info on keeping them as pets, thinking of getting her a small tank. The man I spoke to was so helpful, we spoke about tank sizes, which fish would be best for us etc. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, and he gave me some leaflets to go away with. Wish I could remember his name, but he did let us get this picture so we could remember the fish name for next time

Smaller than other stores in the area, but the store is always well presented, clean and tidy. They lacked a number of items such as food and treats in the puppy and dog section when I visited on a Mon afternoon, therefore rated 4*. It could be that items are difficult to access since brexit or that they were due a delivery. Staff are always very helpful, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They work hard and everyone of them is a credit to the store, which I highly recommend.

Friendly staff who directed you to the appropriate area of the store without pressurising you. The store was well stocked and I managed to get the treats for cats and dogs. The cashier was polite and engaged in light conversation. A really great store with a welcoming air.

What a considerate branch of pets at home. I contacted them asking if they would consider exchanging a 15kg bag of senior AVA dog food, which I never used as both my dogs died in lockdown. Eventually we brought a new puppy home and the staff locked after all our needs whilst respecting the loss of our sweethearts “Baz n Daisy”

Reception women very rude use the one on garstang rd next to jewish cemetry over the years including milly iv had 4black labs and garstang has looked after each of them .cried my eyes out when they go if u own a dog you will understand when i say better than humens.iv put a few pictures on of millies mates who she plays with.

Has a large range but missing lots of stock at the moment with whole ranges missing and the shelves they are supposed to be on are empty. The VIP card is handy for the odd discount and free item (if they have the relevant products in stock). Staff are helpful and friendly though.

Bought a really nice harness from here and my little Princess Leia got lots of wear out of it and it fit very well the whole time she grew you can find everything you need for all stages of your pets life in here only drawback is I spend hours in here and end up spending a fortune 🤑😃!!

Great location. Easy to park. Lots of great products. Very well laid out. Very good lighting etc. Only negative is the staff arent very welcoming or friendly, not sure if its because I was in my work stuff so they thought I was scruffy looking. Excellent customer service I'm so sorry I didn't catch the ladies name however we bought 2 dwarf hampster and she took as long as needed to help us purchase everything that we needed. The staff at Pets At Home are very helpful. They are more than happy to help you find anything. I am visually impaired and when I go in with my guide dog the staff are great. The staff are always there to carry heavy or bulky stuff out to put in customers cars. I have used Pets At Home for many years and they've always been my favourite pet shop. If they don't have an item in store it can be ordered. I have just had my guide dog to the Groom Room the other week for the first time. The girls there were so nice and they looked after him. His feathers were long and they only cut off the amount specified. I'm definitely taking him back there as I'm so pleased with the job they did. I'd highly recommend them. My dog had his 3rd grooming today. The girl who groomed him said he was an angel. He actually enjoys going to the Groom Room. I completely trust them with him.

Over a couple of weeks we received some great advice and support from the staff here in getting set up to take on some rats for pets. Huge shout out to Lucy their resident rat expert who spent considerable time on 2 occasions advising us. Other members of staff helped with setting up the PAH app and registering to get a decent discount on the sizable initial outlay on cage and paraphernalia you need. No pushy sales, just a genuine approach to make sure we could give the ratties a good home! A few weeks later we have 2 happy, friendly rats entertaining us with their antics and snuggles, it's all gone very smoothly!

Nice place, but the vets upstairs???? Had to visit here for the first time, with my dead dog,as it had passed away and needed to be stored cause the crematory was closed. Having to walk through the entire store carrying my dog, it wasn't ok. Very upsetting, not private just not personal felt on show,when was upset.

Ok, go here for some off my pet supplies i.e hay, have looked at the fish selection and I'm not happy, it borders on animal cruelty!! Dead fish in the tanks, half eaten fish in the tanks, staff have the nerve to say they are sleeping!!?? Do Not Buy Fish From Here!! Tanked up marines have better quality and are cheaper! Otherwise this shop is handy for pet supplies etc although Amazon is cheaper! Also I may add, the reptile and bird sections are abysmal! If you have any other pet other than a dog I wouldn't recommend

Not to much offer in store and I phoned the people before I went to store to see if they have crickets, meal worms, wax worms and the person said yes but when I went in store the shelves was empty and no items on shelves I went in the store for .. Called up and talked to jake a very polite and good looking lad. I explained I was worried about wet tail and he soon had me bring my hamster down. Helpful and definitely a "destination" shop, which is well stocked and staffed by enthusiastic and well informed staff. Should get a 5 star rating but it is just a bit expensive. Still the knowledge of the staff and wide and varied stock shelf very much help compensate for this and some of the periodic bargains on dried dogfood are online competitive. Great people always happy to help. Not a cliche but my honest opinion.

They do have a selection of small animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and fish to purchase. They do feeding the animals for children a couple of times a day. The prices of items vary from affordable to more expensive and specialist.
