The staff here are so lovely, all the furniture is in good condition and the shop has a stunning collection. If you like old furniture, this is the place. It was such a shame that i had to cancel my order because the moving company quoted me £600 for furniture transport to my new location. I got a full refund from the staff. Will be visiting the one in my new location soon.

I adore this shop. People seem to donate furniture that they consider dated or 'old fashioned ' but that I regard as retro-chic. Additionally, there seem to be lots of people around who redecorate and decide that the colour of the sofa doesn't match the new scheme. I quite often browse around and wish I had a bigger flat. I've picked up (metaphorically) not only furniture but some nice prints and picture frames and a few items of audio equipment - including a turntable (£15) that resulted in my current obsession with vinyl. Then there is the large faux Versailles style mirror which was just a perfect centre for my Romanov corner(it's at the end of my Communist wall).
I'd like to comment on a couple of criticisms. I do not find the shop overpriced by any means. There seems to be an assumption by some people that Charity shops should virtually give stuff away. Personally I love the idea of recycling items rather than throwing them out and I'm happy that my money goes to charitable organizations rather than to shareholders.
Secondly, I'm not sure that a report of a bad experience, probably written in annoyance, is always an accurate depiction of the overall level of survice. It is important to consider that most staff in Charity shops are volunteers. As someone who has worked in Retail for many years and now volunteers at such a shop I understand exactly why the levels of 'service' can be somewhat variable. This is something it is difficult to see changing.
