Fabric land provides such an essential resource for the majority of my sewing needs. Yes I can buy online, but being able to double check colours and quality is so important together with the informal discussion regarding projects if needed. This time I needed zips and thread and was able to nip into town and get them. Without this shop I would have to wait for delivery from online purchase, so really appreciate it. Thank you.

A treasure trove of stuff, spread over two floors and right in the centre of Southampton. I came here to find some velvet style material to reupholster a chair and was impressed by the rolls of beautiful jewel colours and patterns. There's a wide selection of haberdashery bits and pieces for fair prices. If you're even slightly creative, you'll love it here and want to buy it all. Staff are efficient and knowledgeable. A very good place to know about!

A wonderful haberdashery. 1st time I had seen something with such an extensive range of fabrics, ribbons, drapes etc. Bought a few interesting things but was short on time before catching my bus back to Portsmouth. There was a lovely assistant behind the till, helpful, friendly and charming. It's a regret of mine that I didn't revisit this Aladdin's cave of textile wonders before I left Hampshire. My Nan would have loved this shop.

Fabric Land is literally the best haberdasher I've ever visited. Sewing and crafts can be so expensive but they really aren't in here. They have an amazing range of fabrics, and they are so reasonably priced. One of my favourite shops.

I absolutely love fabricland great friendly and helpful staff, a huge and wide range of fabrics from chiffon to lycra. The prices are so affordable with most fabrics ranging from £2 to £6 a meter with some expensive silks and laces being slightly more. A great haberdashery is available with everything you need to finish off. Don't miss the great laces and trims at the back. The shop is purely dressmaking however there is a bit of curtain making options and great cottons to make in to cushions. For inspiration check out all the great pattern books upstairs

Generally I always find what I am looking for here. Plenty of choice and helpful staff. The only thing I find a nusience each time, is you can't park anywhere near the shop and it's a long way, walk from the test of the shops in the city centre. It would excellent if they moved neared the west quay shops
