I went in to have a look at the cute pets, I was thinking of getting myself a small cagged pet but wasn't sure what the right animal would be for me. One of the colleagues Lewis, asked if I needed any help, so I explained, he took his time to help me choose the right pet for me, I give him 5 stars for his service. I now have two baby gerbils who are very happy and healthy in their new home.

I am in the process of preparing for the arrival of my puppy. I have visited pets at home Hedge End twice in recent weeks; both times I have been served by Lewis. On each occasion I have been so impressed with his knowledge and how he has been willing to go above and beyond to help me. A personal thanks to him!

Very helpful staff and clearly knowledgeable but I'm always baffled by the fact this large organisation sell food types that are of known poor quality for animals, a puppy in our case. If certain products are unhealthy then surely it pays to cease selling them. Apart for that, great shop and people.

I am often visiting this pets at home and others in the area, I have found over the last year they are struggling with stock levels, every visit now I am unable to get either my dogs biscuits or dental sticks. Staff don't seem to know why stock levels are so low or advise when the deliverys will come (this is aimed at the greenies which seems to always be out of stock!!) Even when trying to buy things online it shows the stuff I need but then won't let me add it to my basket as its out of stock. Very frustrating but possibly due to covid somehow.

I don’t usually review but after the devastating news that my cat had to be euthanised even though everyone tried to do the impossible, the staff were nothing short or amazing. Thank you to everyone from the first vet we saw and the (possibly South African speaking/accent nurse). I hope not to go through this anytime soon but I definitely won’t be going anywhere else!! Thanks again to everyone (the baby staffie is adorable)

Great selection of dog food, treats and other stuff. We were able to purchase all we needed for our new puppy at very reasonable prices. A search online had yielded similar prices for the products, so didn't feel we were overcharged. Also nice to see and feel the products before you purchase, especially bedding and toys. Loads of parking and open late till 8pm (weekday evenings at least). Impressed.

Fun little store with everything you need for your pet. Went a few times, always left with smiles on our faces and a great amount of pet supplies. They also have small live pets for sale and they are well looked after as far as I can see. Definitely a well run store, staff is always helpful. There are a number of other businesses under this address too.

Good one way system to help social distancing. Car park. No animals out at the moment which is good as you can't social distance to look at them. Fish are still there though. Easy to get in and get out for your pet essentials.

Love pets at home, we are in there weekly but last week the advice given to us by a staff member resulted in us buying dog food that isn't suitable for our small dog. The dry dog food is much to large for his little mouth. A little more training for staff members would be great if they are going to give out advice to pet owners.

Clean, bright and very friendly staff. The store has everything you could want... As long as its a dog or cat. I have birds and the range available is very limited which is why I took off a star. Don't expect to be able to ask staff for advice, whilst they are friendly and will do their best they lack knowledge.

My dog has recently been diagnosed with food allergies. Harvey took the time to explain everything in depth to me and about all the different types of food and quality to me Aswell as recommending some great products my dogs seem to love! Lots of parking available, lots of trolleys (you need a pound or equivalent to use) shop was extremely well stocked which did make some areas difficult to manoeuvre a trolley around aisles. Animals looked nice and clean all had fresh food and water and clean bedding. The only down side was when I visited they literally had 2 members of staff, 1 was dealing with an adoption and 1 was on the tills. And due to the amount of bags of litter and being disabled it would have been nice for a member of staff to be able to help load the trolley and unload in the car. Sadly this wasn't available and wasn't even busy. Could have been bad timing with staff breaks maybe. But apart from that no complaints and wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Brucey the rescue dog (cairn terrier cross jack Russell) loves visiting pets at home hedge end. Last time we visited it was his birthday 23 may, i ended up spending £42 on toys 4 him. He's had most of their toys since I've had him so pets at home you need some new ones u not had in before!
