A great proper pie. We had the Motherships. Fungi Chicken and Moo. Tasty, creamy mast, minted mushy peas. Good price. Lovely service. Nice atmosphere. Nice very filling lunch on a colder spring day.

I don't usually write reviews but this place was deserving for one. Ordered the food online as iI just moved house and it was late. The food tasted so fresh and so flavourful, the mash was creamy and was flavourful, not dry or bland like most mash. The pies were like something I would get if I went back home to my mother's and she cooked me a homemade pie, the sauces were creamy, the meat well tendered, the overall food well seasoned and bursting with a mouthful of flavours. Only feedback I would give is they forgot my chips and I couldn't contact you to receive them When buying online offer portion sizes for the sides, would of loved to had a larger portion of peas! Write on the packaging which pie is which to prevent confusion. Give a description online of what your pies contain, I like the names of the pies but it doesn't say much about them. This feedback is only a suggestion but overall I Loved the food I got, definitely ordering again!

Best pie around with a new plant based menu too. Great surroundings, in the heart of Trentham Shopping Village and Gardens. Social distancing measures in place with indoor plus outdoor dining. No booking required, eat in and takeaway. Dogs welcome outside. Highly recommend. Part menu posted for your ease of viewing however visit their website for more info.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Pies are ok. Average sizes just about worth the prices. Don't get me wrong, the food is fine, just not spectacular and the place is usually busy with limited seating and staff so expect a bit of a wait.

First time eating here after a lovely walk around a busy Trentham gardens. Sat outside as we had our dog (dog friendly), was a slightly cold afternoon but there is outdoor heaters which provide a ‘decent’ amount of heat. A reasonable priced place and the food was really good, definitely could have had another pie. I had the goats cheese, red onion and spinach pie, and the other pie is beef and blue Stilton. With a side of Mac & cheese, I wanted pigs in blankets with it but wasn’t ordered unfortunately. Pies were nice and filled and the beef was tender. Could have done with a bit more gravy on top as I had to add some brown sauce just clean the plate up with the last of the pie. Will definitely be coming back to try the other pies and highly recommended!

Trendy and tasty, this pie shop really pushes the boat out. A large selection of pies and skillets. I settled for an Elderflower Fentiman’s and a Captain Nemo Skillet, was so tasty! Very hot and worth the ten minute wait. My other half had a Paneer Pie- loved it! You can’t fault the place, sit inside or out.

We had a lovely lunch here. I am vegetarian and my sister is vegan and we had lots of choice. There was even vegan options for the sides. Thoroughly delicious and very reasonably priced. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but we did takeaway and sat in the grounds behind the shops where there was plenty of picnic benches. Would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here and the friendly and very prompt service always helps. They only serve pies perhaps with mash and barely lukewarm peas but their pies are rather nice. The only annoying thing was that on our visit we had to sit next to what seemed to be a rather loud crèche.

Lovely place and the food was great too! It was clean and tidy inside with a lovely warm, cosy atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they definitely make the place shine! It was a small but perfectly formed restaurant, so at busy times you may be disappointed and not be able to get in, but the service is super fast so I'm sure you wouldn't have to wait too long,and they have outside seating for appropriate weather. Although it is small I have always managed perfectly well with my baby in a buggy and using their highchairs. They have a great selection of pies, for everyone and even for vegetarians! It's always extremely delicious.

There is a choice of vegan pies here, plus vegan mash and vegan gravy! The meal was great and it was so pleasant to be able to eat out with friends and have the same sort of traditional meal as them. Service was really friendly and the whole experience very satisfying.

Excellent selection of pies and sides. Lovely variety of soft and hot drink available too. Both indoor and outdoor dining available. It's table service but you order at the counter. Due to location, the custom is full of, well, those in their golden years, so at busy times the queue can be slow moving.

If you like pies, then this is for you. Not just ordinary pies, high quality, delicious and unusual recipes, well made, with vegetarian options too. Served traditionally - piping hot with mash, peas and gravy on an enamel plate - but up a lot of notches from the usual. Speedy service, quite busy at peak times. You can even take some time!

Visited this establishment on good Friday, not sure if it was because it was busy, but my pie didn't taste fresh. The pastry was very hard like it had been left warming along time and had dried out. The filling was tasty though. Was also expensive for what essentially is just a pie !

Both vegan pies were top notch! Kevin is sort of sweet and smoky and Chooks Away is a pretty great imitation of a creamy chicken pie. I recommend all the trimmings if they're your sort of thing! Great mash and minty mushy peas and I don't usually care for the latter. Inside dining area is a bit small and noisy though.

The pies are excellent. The do a vegetarian called Heidi which my wife loves and a vegan called Kevin my daughter likes. They have just introduced another vegan pie called chooks away. They also do vegetarian / vegan sausage rolls and a vast array of meat pies all of which sound appetizing (not yet tried them) or are simply delishous. They also do gluten free so everyone can get their pieminister fix. Even better this is also a restaurant so you can have pie mash and peas etc. If you do not like pastry or cannot eat it for other reasons scrape the insides out of the pies, theyare full of filling not air. The pies can be bought to take home come in a cardboard only box and can be frozen. Cooking instructions are on the box.

We have been visiting Pieminster for quite some time and are always VERY impressed by how lovely the food is and quickly it is served. Today we visited and, unfortunately (being a vegetarian) I was given the wrong pie by mistake. A moo and blue. I do not write this review to complain however - far from it. The error was discovered before I began to eat the pie luckily. BUT the staff were excellent and dealt with the problem with much apologising and every attempt to resolve the situation was made. These things happen don't they? There was certainly no harm done but the Pieminster staff were wonderful. I cannot recommend Pieminster enough. Wonderful food, wonderful value...wonderful staff! Am looking forwards to the next visit already! If you've not been to Pieminster before, give it a try. You will not be disappointed.
