I'm sure there are plenty of books in this store that people want, on the most part I've never struggled to find something I need. They however have a 'vehicle & travel' type section of one single shelf less than a metre long. And even then it is VERY limited. I understand that you can order online for collection at store though. So next time, I'll remember that

I visited WHSmith in the Potteries Shopping Centre for the first time today. The sole staff member was extremely helpful. Directing me to what I went in for and serving me promptly. There is a post office attached to it, which although I didn't need, I could see could be useful. The Potteries had ample parking and made it easy for me to pop in and get what I wanted.

Only happy workers are those behind the till for the post office. I don't think I've ever been served with a smile, I recently asked to buy a cancer supportive wristband and a lady replied with no, I asked why and she smirked and said we have none left. I responded with ok Thank you and I had no reply. Whether it was a bad day or not the service with certain staff is incredibly rude. Other than that, the shop is clean and everything is easy to locate.

Not as good since it moved from where H&M is now. Also can be a bit pricey and not much room to have a good look around. They do have the only Post Office in Hanley though which is convenient.

Good shop to go to filled with all of the stationary you may need, Hundreds of books from fiction and non fiction, childrens to adults as well as cards, a post office and plenty more. One of my favourite shops.

I went there for biometrics at the post office, unfortunately on both the occasions I was there the facility was not working. I had tried calling before the 20 mile drive but no one picked up the phone. It went to voicemail. This was on the 2nd visit, when the entire shop was not working due to a power outage. One would have thought someone would have been free to answer the phone, not having much else to do. On my first trip there, the staff told me their booth was not working, but when I drove to the nearest alternate facility open at that time, Salford, I was told that it was a nationwide problem. Should they not have known that at Stoke?

Whsmith has always got a lot of choice but it's very expensive in comparison for the same item at Asda. For instance, Mitsubishi pens.

It does what it needs to. Usually only go there for the post office. The store itself always feels cluttered and overstocked. Staff are not that friendly and always seem to shutting the till so you have to use the self service checkout.

Smiths are brilliant, but they really need to train their staff. Try getting an electronic cigarette from a guy standing under a 'Vype3' photo and he'll gladly sell you a first edition Vype without understanding that the 3 is significantly different.

I could spend hours in here. I just love the combination of books, art materials, magazines, toys, there's always something I want. The closest thing on the high street to an 'inspiring' shop.

This WH Smith has a post office. It's in the city centre. You can get all your DVLA and passport application forms filled and paid for here. It's in the intu potteries mall and it always be has new things and offers.

Great shop with lots of choice however, I personally think the shop looks too busy with promotional stacks of books/chocolates on the floor. Almost impossible to get round the store with a pram and with other people in the shop
