B. G.Good selection of fishies, lots of stuff for cats and dogs. A massive selection of cat litter but a small selection of reptile stuff. Really good prices on some things, never too unreasonable. Fantastic for first time pet owners. Staff are helpful and ready to answer questions. Also small pets like rabbits and hamsters are often on display, cute to see and nice to take pictures of.
V. O.Always have what I need in stock. Good,friendly, helpful staff. Easy to get to and parking is free and plenty of it.

K. O.Very good service , Georgia was our advisor. We wanted to buy two guinea pigs, but unfortunately they had only boys, and we wanted girls. So Georgia didn't push us to buy them, but to rethink if we want girls or boys.
By the way the shop in good location, free parking.

C. O.Everything for all sorts of pets. Buy Wainwright s dog food regularly, but wait til my money off vouchers arrive. Staff knowledgeable & friendly, plenty of parking. Certain products you can buy elsewhere & cheaper ( eg B&M).

M.We went to get some shrimp for our sons fish tank - having had a lecture on how to look after the shrimp - who are actually bottom feeders & technically don't need looking after - we then had a lecture about how long they could be kept in the bag before getting home! No more than 20mins apparently! All well & good but as we live 25mins away from the store a bit of a waste of a lecture really - bit thanks anyway! Shop good - staff a bit OTT.

I visited the store on the 6th and 7th Oct, first day to buy a cage, when I asked an assistant (Georgia ) to help me she greeted me with a smile, showed me a selection, answered my questions all in a friendly way.
Carried the goods to my car. Sadly I had to return the cage the next day.
To my delight Georgia served me again, bringing the cage from the car.
Refunding the purchase price. All done in a kind and efficient manner. Well done, top marks Georgia.

L. W.Girlfriend went in to get a tank and some fish, spent over £100 on a tank and accessories and was told to come back the following day for the fish. Went back and was told we couldnt have fish as they were only delivered that day and had to quarantine.
Went to another pets at home and was told the same and that Wednesday is always delivery day.
S. J.I like pets at home for its range of products and dog food, even selling chicken food for my chooks is great. But until they sort out their staffing issues, I have to stop shopping there! Most days there is only ever one person at the till (or more often none, someone will eventually walk past, apologise for the wait and serve you, although you almost always pick the wrong till and are asked to move round to the other). Today was an exception, the till was manned (or personned) by a lady who seemed to be trying to process a refund. She spent a good 5 minutes as the queue built up jabbing at the till and ringing her bell for attention. Eventually the deputy manager showed up and the original member of staff walked to the opposite till and called the person behind me round (with the amount of stuff I was buying, I didn't mind waiting a little longer... Sadly it took the deputy manager another 5 minutes to process it, the queue had roughly 6 other people in by then and so I decided to just leave. I'm sorry for leaving my shopping at the till but the customer service in there is always poor. Finding a member of staff for the aquatic section is always a nightmare and it makes the whole thing unpleasant. I recommend you get more staff in at any one time, have one person behind the till at all times with another watching for customers looking for help (esp around the animal and aquatic sections) and sort out the training.
