This store should have been classes as an essential shop during lockdown it would have been a lifeline to many with and without children and also helped people get back intouch with their inner child when they suddenly had alot of time on their hands to take up a new hobby or just one they hadn't had time for because of work commitments. A regular shopper here never thought to leave a review. I have shopped here for past 5/6 years for birthday, wedding and general crafts and have nearly always seen Daryl in store. The items in shop are great as ever and always find what I need but need to give this review to Daryl who needs a pay rise for being a top member of the Hobbycraft team - friendly, attentive and helpful with product knowledge. I come to hobby craft quite a lot and they normally have a good amount of stock available! Staff are always ready to answer any craft related questions you have to hand. Just waiting for my woman's institute mustard mix yarn to be back on stock and ill be happy !

Hobbycraft are taking the covid threat seriously. They limit the number of shoppers in-store at any time and provide sanitising stations. The staff are masked and are their usual helpful selves. The store is a goldmine for handicrafting and the prices are reasonable. Parking is easy due to a large car parking area on the retail park.

Positives: It's a Hobbycraft, I mean these places are just awesome for anyone wishing to be creative. If you need art supplies this is the place, there have over 15 types of glue it's insane. Brilliant place for ANY kind of art project or creative project. To clarify this is not a DIY store like B&Q, this is for arts and crafts. Negatives: Haven't experienced any. I will edit if this changes.

A bit on the expensive side for craft and art supplies and they don't stock the full range available online or in bigger stores. The staff are very helpful, I find that in all their stores and wheelchair accessibility is good. They have a mezzanine floor which is accessible via stairs or a vet slow lift.

By and large this shop provides everything I am looking for and if the staff don't know how to help me, they find someone who can. However for Christmas I bought 3 different sets for my granddaughters .. See your own pug, sew your own unicorn and sew your own llama. Not One of the kits had enough thread to finish the cushions. I've had to go and buy more This is pretty disappointing as apart from that the kits are lovely It's not that they are new to this, I've been helping them, but they've still run out of thread far too early in the project . It would be nice if there was a little extra left over rather than simply not enough in the first place

Came into store with my sister on Monday 10th August to get a baby gender reveal cannon. We found a lovely man on the shop floor (didn't catch his name) who was more than willing to help us as we didn't want to know the gender until the reveal. He took the envelope, checked the gender and got us what we needed whilst also making sure the cashier knew the deal. He was absolutely amazing and very friendly and helpful!! The cashier also helped us by making sure there was nothing on the cannon that would give it away and after her seeing on the receipt that it said girl or boy, she swiftly threw it away lol. Massive thankyou to the staff for the help we received whilst in store, just sorry I didn't catch their names 👏👏👏😊

Lots of Craftyness! We can spend hours in here being inspired by crafts we never knew we wanted to do. Allow plenty of time for a good wander. Staff helpful if you can locate any, often a bit thin on the ground unlike Hobby craft at Bridgemere who seem to have more.

Want to keep your kids busy for the weekend or on a rainy day? Take them to hobbycraft, there's lots of stuff they can get involved with. Just watch they don't pick out the pro versions of stuff, otherwise it can get expensive.

I used to love this shop. But it's a shame it's the only one of its type around here as it would help with competivness on prices, as it's a bit expensive on some of the more popular products. Also it's gone a lot towards wedding products and the card making stock that it used to have seems to have gone by the wayside.

Huge store! Great range of plastic model kits among other things. I have taken 1 star off the review because of one small thing but I think it does actually make a difference, it did stop me from going ahead with a purchase... I'm partial to the Bead pick'n'mix at hobbycraft. I usally use the Reading store for this but as I was visiting home in Telford, I thought I'd get some there. So the pick'n'mix area itself was okay to find. My problem was the height at which it was placed. I think people over 5 foot 5 will probably not have an issue with this but being 5 foot 3, I personally prefer to have something which I dont need to look up at. The area in reading is actually about waist height for me which is great, because for me, part of the fun is sort of looking and feeling some of the beads. I couldn't really do that at the Telford store, it just felt a bit awkward and I couldn't really get a proper view of the beads. After 3 minutes of trying to pick some, I put my cup down and left. I would have been prepared to spend a fair amount too. Aside from that, as I said before, the store is huge and generally everything is located clearly. Worth a visit.
