Friendly staff, lots of variety, well ventilated with two entrances (v. Important during the pandemic). Well kept store with intuitive lay out and nicely spread out. Bonus points for one member of staff wearing a Dungeons and Dragons handmade apron, because that warmed my heart!

I only popped in to kill time whilst Grandson in the dentists. Omg I'd forgotten the thrill of fabrics, it's been some time. To pick from the shelves, feel the bolts instead of online purchases. The choice was very extensive. I need to return for a good viewing. What can I say, the staff were superb, helpful and friendly. Excellent customer service! The patience and dedication I received from almost every single one of the amazing staff here, last Saturday, restored my faith in human nature and British Customer Service! Nicola and Frances were particularly brilliant, knowledgeable, polite and respectful and were incredibly supportive and reassuring in my hour of need in my wedding dress crisis! They bent over backwards to help me and offered sound, honest advice, without pressure or haste and I also appreciated the honesty if other staff, regarding the limitations of their own knowledge and the courteous way in which I was referred to the others for help. Huge range of fabrics and sewing supplies. Large well lit store with friendly helpful staff. They produce many unique patterns in their own factory which also keeps the prices reasonable. A great find and well worth a visit after finding them online.

Truro Fabrics is fabulous. There's tremendous choice including haberdashery. You see all sorts of people in there, including men planning costumes, parents-to-be planning curtains and teenagers making their own designs. The staff are helpful and seem to enjoy their work. A friend of mine recently used this store for an order of fabrics and was appalled at the level of service she recieved. Staff were rude, unhelpful and condescending. When checking online reviews of the place i was disappointed to see her experience was not a one off. I was planning a visit on my next visit to Cornwall... however her experience and that of a friend of hers has left me heading elsewhere... Such a shame that large fabric stores such as this adopt this approach.
