P. P.Had a very positive experience here, the staff are lovely - professional, thorough, conscientious and very kind. They helped me with two unruly bunnies who don't like being handled. Very happy - I signed up for the care plan as it represents good value for money.
T. H.Super friendly vets, despite one of our dogs creating an actual lake of wee. Everyone is so friendly the dog we've had longest loves going there (the lake creator hasn't got used it yet, he's a new rescue) cannot fault in any way, so welcoming and helpful.
U. S.Incredible service. I went in to buy a crate for my car but didn't want a metal one. I was allowed to try the crate in my boot to check for size and helped along by your friendly and knowledgeable staff...thank you

L.Everything you need under one roof, the staff have a lot of knowledge on every animal, good deals on food and accessories, the vets are fantastic, they will see you the same day if needed, they are caring and explain exactly how you understand medical terms! They don't push you on anything you don't agree on and they listen to what you need for your pets!

A. B.Never had a problem here. Staff have always been helpful and friendly. You do sometimes have to wait while they aid other customers, but they do get round to you as quick as possible. This place is reasonably priced and does have free parking. Not used other in house services yet. Downside is getting out of car park after visits due to the traffic light system.

D. G.I have gotten the best hamster i have ever had from here.. i adore and love him so much. Smaller products are always good such as food... on the absolute negative side every cage i have bought from here has been covered in dirt and dust.. utterly disgusting state to sell cages in ( hamster cages) so id say don't buy cages from pets at home. Buy them at small stores and corner pet shops. Buy small treats and bedding and stuff here instead

C. T.Very impressed with the service I received. I had problems with some fish I had bought. They took a totally responsible attitude despite it not really being their fault. The only thing I would say is their stock of fish was down but that's probably down to the C19 issue. Still 5* from me.

M.Was OK. Went in for kitten food which was on offer, buy 1box get another half price but due to low stock level couldn't get the offer. Manager not awfully helpful. Popped back in today for food for other cat, they didn't have it, so gave up and went to Tescos, who did sell it. Haven't used the vet or the groomer so can't comment on those.
B. P.We got our 2 boy rats from the store at Newhaven, they are obviously well breed and very used to humans, they nearly always want to play and are very loving and up for adventures. some care and consideration must have been taken to produce such cool rats so a five stars from me.
J. H.Staff where very polite and helpful. We did struggle for quit a while getting the right harness for our cocker. All good in the end. Harness/collar toys and lead. Leo is worn out with all the harness changes. 😍

The store is big with a small car park out front with more parking in sainsburys near by. Store sells livestock and supplies. Has a good selection of fish, dog and cat food and toys. The store is being upgraded to include groom room and a vets.

t. t.The staff are brilliant here. They really do take time to get to know your pet. It is like home from home. My dogs used to be afraid of other vets but now they enjoy seeing their friends when we visit.

N. B.The store is quite big with vets and cats section on first floor. Rather good supply of tropical and cold water fishes, unfortunately they don't have cherry shrimps nor otocinclus. Aquatic section supply is average and doesn't offer much more then any other pet shop. If you would like to buy yourself furry friend, there is decent choice of small pets and tiny adoption centre.
T. b.Good range of products for all types of pets, including vetinary services. Prices are par for the course for pet products, though there's the occasional offer here and there. However, I've been given advice I know to be inaccurate about fish keeping, so I'd suggest is buying a new pet, researching through other sources first. One star docked for that.

A. H.I always go there to stock up on dog food and treats. That's fine as there is a vast choice. But I am very disappointed when I have to shop for my bearded dragon and my gheko. Very often I find there are no locusts left even when I go in the next day after delivery. But what I find sometimes quite upsetting is when I see boxes of dead locusts (quite a few) on the shelf. I would like to continue to shop at pets at home as I have done for many years. But not if I can't cover the needs of my reptiles there.
W. B.It's a brilliant day out even in bad weather. We went in Feb half term and as there are so many places undercover, even when it did rain it wasn't a problem. This was our third visit and won't be our last. Loved the owls and the animal encounters.

A. M.I was actually visiting my local Vets 4 Pets which is in-store but had a quick look and spoke to a knowledgeable store worker
Z. X.My opinion of pets at home is a bit like a pendulum swing in a grandfather clock.. Sometimes I walk in this store and find staff seem to be offish and the store is somewhat like going round a maze with a bag over ya head trying to find the reason for entering in the first place..
Other times it's great clouds gone, sunshining and staff really helpful.. Soon learnt quickly what I shop here for and it's only the £1 dog frisbees.
Not keen on purchasing animals from here or any chain associated with Pets at Home as run a rodent rescue centre and often find 75%+ of our rescues have a history of coming from this chain.. (store locations unknown)..
So three stars as a very mixed review but buy products or livestock with caution.. Ask for full history of animal if buying pet and if not a straight answer would suggest not buying..
