I have ordered a few things from SMD and to be frankly honest, it is one of the best companies I have had dealings with. When ordering a bulky item, they called to explain how the delivery would go ahead and offered their expertise to help me get it set up and running. They also gave me a few complimentary bits and bobs to help me get started. Their deliveries are quick and reliable. The item I received today was ordered on Saturday. So I cannot fault their whole process. Whenever I need something sewing related, this company is the one I go to first. Especially for the fact that they are at the end of the phone and their help is more than accommodating. It is brilliant to see a company care about their customers when there are hundreds of other ones which just do not care once they have made a sale. Thank you SWD.

I ordered a sewing machine online and no issues however it wasn't the right machine for me. I decided to go to their shop which is a 2 hour plus drive. Well, it was SO worth the drive. I'd been chatting to Freddie regarding the machines and he was so responsive. I never had to wait for a reply. Dave assisted me whilst I was in the shop with my partner. He made us both a lovely coffee and set up some machines for me to try. He got me some fabric and off I went. I exchanged the machine I ordered online and got such a great deal on my new one. No question was too silly, and they took their time answering all the questions. At this point I had made it clear I was just shopping around. My local sewing machine shop closed down - sadly. Wanted to upgrade and felt wary of buying an expensive new machine online. The Machine arrived with an issue due to packing becoming dislodged in transit. I contacted SMD who were super helpful and reassuring, arranging for a pick-up the same day and sent a replacement machine, they were genuinely keen to help and resolved the issue asap with a friendly, caring and reassuring attitude. Wanted to upgrade my existing sewing machine and had been reccomended SMD for their service.
