So my experience in this store was lovely. From the moment I stepped in I felt comfortable and amazed by the amount of selection. As well as all the good finds good staff was also here. Alex served us and never at any point seemed pushy or forceful with anything I wanted to look closer at. Also he wasn’t afraid to have a joke with you to make you feel comfortable. Lovely store and lovely people.

This is one of the best antique shops I have ever visited! Every time I come in, I go in for a wander around but I always find something that I want to buy! They have a wide selection of jewellery, coins, weapons and even fashion. With a small cafe and 3 floors to explore, it is truly amazing! The staff are welcoming and at any point you want to take a closer look at something from a cabinet, you just ask a member of staff. Great fast service and top quality antiques. Would recommend.

I’ve been in this shop quite a few times and the staff have always been so welcoming. I was struggling on which ring I should get for my 21st birthday present, because I have very small hands and nothing ever fits me. But one of the clerks named Francisca helped me to decide between three rings I had picked out and she even suggested that I get some sort of ring adjuster (which I didn’t know existed) for the ring I picked, just so that it would fit perfectly and not lose it’s value if I were to get it altered. Then When I was paying for it, I had a lovely little chat with the staff which was nice and felt natural. All in all I had a lovely experience in the Antique Centre and I look forward to going again! :)

I was looking for an actual Bowler Hat for my son, instead I leave with a flat cap, Punters hat and an old school silver bracelet. Thanks Charles! The next day I meet Luke: he finds me the cameo I want, a German medal and some Whitby Jet earrings! But the coolest thing, Charles recognizes me and tells me he got the Perfect bowler in. Technically you could spend the whole day exploring this place! You can even get a coffee here! My type of exploration. Awesome shop with helpful customer service! Better than a museum because you can actually touch things!!!

Absolutely massive, bigger then I first anticipated ironically even though it is described as the largest antique store in York. Got a few things from there myself but they have a crazy range in terms of collections, from weapons such as old grenades etc to jewelry and even clothes on the upper floors. There is also a cafe located on said Upper floors but we didn't manage to visit at the time. Staff were absolutely wonderful. Cant wait to visit again in the future.

A good place to visit, after looking around, if you go upstairs there is a traditional English tea shop, tea made in tea pot as it was in the day, meals also available, scones,cake, . I would recommend.

A very nice and friendly place, particularly a lovely lady called Wendy. She was a delight and very helpful, she knew what we where looking for and showed us around the cabinets. Every thing she showed us was perfect for what we needed (engagement rings and panto jewellery)

Oh my days. This for me was pure perfection. Oh I love these types of shops. The sales staff truly wonderful. Now if you are looking for a gorgeous trinket, or a small piece of History, this is your shop . But can you all not go at once for the moment as I want to go back as ive seen around 500 items that ohhhh id like to just peep there could be more. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could.!!

Excellent shop, full of surprises. Super friendly staff who love to chat and make it a pleasant experience. Difficult to navigate if you have a mobility issue as there's lots of stairs. I guess it's probably a listed building which exempts them from remodeling. I've no doubt if asked they would help with any difficulty.

A wonderful and deceptively large shop full of wonderful items, the staff are lovely, everything is laid out well and the prices are very reasonable.

I first became aware if the antiques centre back in early Feb 2021. My Mam, who has been my carer for 20 years due to spinal damage, had dropped 1 of her Brambly hedge plates. Not knowing anything about Brambly hedge I was put onto an Internet auction site and was able to replace it. Never purchasing anything this way before was stressful. But as my Mam is my best friend and my whole world I persevered. Last Xmas I was admitted into hospital and given an unwanted Xmas present in a diagnosis that means I am on oxygen 24 hours a day. Then in the new year I was given another unwanted present, this diagnosis was regarding my heart. My Mam suffers from her own serious health problems and Brambly hedge brought her some joy. All I wanted was to be able to hug my Mam, everyone knows that mum's make everything right. I haven't, due to covid been able to hug my Mam for 18 months so I haven't been able to thank her for all she has and is doing for me. It was then I came across the antiques centre and explained to them my situation and that I know nothing about porcelain plates/Brambly Hedge, and I would like to increase my Mam,s collection. In the past couple of weeks the staff at the antiques centre put together a 4 plate special edition collection. Every single member of staff that has dealt with me, which has all been carried out by Email, have dealt with me with passion, caring, patience, expertise and understanding of how much I love my Mam and how I want to build up her brambly hedge collection while I am able to. It is down to their willingness to go above and beyond, their truly superb customer service and the way they genuinely care about my needs, even my health, that another order for a 2 plate special edition collection will be placed with them shortly. They are presently doing further research into Brambly hedge plates to help me. I can assure you and them that all plates will be purchased from them. I really cannot recommend them highly enough. A truly wonderful business run by people so caring and genuine and professional I advise anybody who requires help and advice regarding antiques to contact the antiques centre, you won't regret it. So thankyou to all at the antiques centre who have helped and continue to help me show my Mam that I couldn't have made it this far without her. It is,nt the same as being able to give her a hug but what the antiques centre have carried out for me has helped me a lot. So thankyou antiques centre for bringing a huge smile to her face, and with the help of the truly exceptional staff my Mam will be overjoyed on many more occasions. Thankyou

When you are tired, you can go to the Molly tea room upstairs to take a break.
