this was a wonderful experience . I bought the little rocky chair plan and accessories . The Rocking Horse Shop did all the work in providing excellent plan in great detail accompanied with an instructional video all one needs is a little patience . overwhelmed at first with the carving of the head but surprising enough it was straight forward and am delighted with the results. the plan is very well thought out and the fact that one only needs a small number of tools to carry out such a project is an added bonus and would highly recommend anyone to have a go. well done The Rocking Horse shop I am encouraged now to try the larger size horses . kind regards David O'Sullivan

I bought the Rocky horse pattern and the accessories and the quality of both are great with the hand made saddle and bridal are very nice and well crafted. The delivery to Canada was easy and fast.. I would recommend the Rocking Horse Shop to anyone looking to make or buy a horse.

We restored a Large Ayres horse this year and the swing bars were denatured and frail, and as a result the leg joints were worn as the legs cave inwards. We purchased a new set of swing bars from the Rocking Horse Shop and they were perfect, well made and delivered without haste. I love the Rocking Horse Shop. I made my first rocking horse from their laminated kit and it turned out great and I have had nothing but good comments from everyone who has seen it. and my great grand children love it. Now I am making a second one from some poplar strips given to me by a friend, so far it's looking good I am going to finish it as a dapple grey. This is the fourth purchase of rocking horse kits from this company and I have found them excellent in every way to deal with. They even have a human on the end of a telephone line to assist with advice. The quality of the timber packs and accessories is of high quality and cut to fine tolerances. Overall I am more than happy with this company. As an aside , I have been a woodworker for many years but previously I have never attempted a rocking horse or even carving. Fear not as this company supplies all the essentials and advice. I have to say that of all the projects I have built, the rocking horse has given me the most pleasure and satisfaction than any other. Just would like to say what an amazing experience we have had with the Rocking Horse Shop. We visited the shop back in the summer, where Lin gave us a tour of the workshops. We then talked through all our different options before we placed our order. We were sent photos of "Jingles' " creation process regularly, which was really lovely to see. I ordered an ornamental size rocking horse, with a closed mouth, grey with subtle dappling. The result is beautiful. Sweet facial expression, lovely horsehair mane and tail, and realistic dappling around her face and body, just like the photo I provided. And beautiful bridle and saddle. Well what can I say! My childhood dream of owning a Rocking Horse came true yesterday. From first visiting The Rocking Horse shop and discussing with Lin my dream horse, through to Stan delivering my horse. I only have positive things to say about the lovely people who work for this fantastic company. Nothing was too much bother, ideas were discussed and little things were tweaked to make my horse the perfect horse for me. Progress photos were sent throughout the process of the construction of my horse to ensure everything ran smoothly, and that I was happy with how the horse was progressing. First ever attempt at anything like carving and purchased the medium horse timber set. On opening it was a little daunting and carving the head i found I was a bit nervous, but purchased the online video and watched the you tube channel and my horse is nearing completion and looking great. 25+ years ago, I remember seeing a magnificent rocking horse that was imported from England, in a little shop in Cambridge, New Zealand. The shop has long since closed (it’s now a pub). This is a 5 star company and the rocking horses are beautiful. I recently ordered some tack from The Rocking Horse Shop Fangfoss England. I live in Ontario Canada. The saddle was a "Jasper" with a contoured top for a small horse on bow rockers. It is gorgeous and the rest of the tack the same, and we are very pleased with the fit. I was given a delivery time and it arrived much earlier. Great service as usual. However I do wish you would take a little future care with your scalp cutting. The recent order I received was irregular in shape and size. A more regulated scalp would be easier to work with when carving out on the neck.
