Reviews of The Trinity Centre
S. B.
Very well organised and friendly shopping centre. Wide and varied shops and stalls. should be busier once Poundland opens. Of course Greggs is definitely an attraction. The two new experiences Snugology and the Flower Shop are well worth a visit! I saw a living, breathing Stormtrooper from the Imperial Guard in the centre last Friday. It made for a fun day.
d. w.
Great little place, so close to transport, food and the city
W. F.
The saddest thing about the centre is the gaping hole on one side where Debenhams used to be. That said, they've hidden the old store pretty well so you don't feel like there is a chunk of the building unused. Buolding is showing its age but appears we'll enough. Maintained.
S. 6.
Decent shopping centre with some nice shops, a bit similar to other shopping centres when a new bigger centre like union square is build nearby, so all the big brand shops have left and only some smaller, often cheaper shops have stayed. Nothing wrong with the centre and I still like a look around the shops that are there currently.
K. M.
Visiting from Glasgow our coach dropped us beside here with 1 and a half hours all we had time to see was shopping centre. Big primak and good selection of shops.
R. C. (.
Ahhh Yes building here are wonderful.statue of Robert the Bruce on a horse, and the dancing water you can water through if you dont mind getting wet. Lovely lovely street Beautiful Granite buildings
C. P.
Has a good variety of shops and also on the main high street of the city.. Union street
R. D.
Very well organised and friendly shopping centre. Wide and varied shops and stalls. should be busier once Poundland opens.
r. p.
I visited HMV. It was very busy but I was served quickly. A member of staff helped me find what I was looking for in a timely manner.
S. T.
A small shopping centre right in the middle of the city centre, offers parking, some shops to visit and access to the heart of the city centre giving you the ability to explore nearby. The building itself is beautiful, formerly used by The Seven Trades, giving the Trinity Centre a beautiful frontage.
S. C.
Located on Union Street, Aberdeen. It connects Union Street and Guild Street. Great stores inside to check out. Primark and Poundland would be the most visited ones.
s. m.
Trinity Centre I remember well from its gay-day in the 80s and sadly it looking more and more tired. The shop selection is pretty poor now with mostly cheap stores. It survived quite well with competition from the Bon Accord and St Nicholas Centres but Union Square has really stripped this place of the quality it used to offer. Accessibility from Guild Street is still a huge issue with a pretty steep flight of stairs. It has a feel of more an indoor market now than the shopping mall it used to be. Sad really.
I. W.
This center is ever-changing in shops and once it has all the locations filled will have been filled it will be better
M. S.
Handy for cutting through the back from union square saves walking all the way round half town to get there lol
c. j.
Safe and large car park(Reasonable charge). Easy access to shops.
E. I. L. A.
Pass through to the train station.
Sometimes on shopping at Primark or card factory. Oh! some hot chocolate from Greggs too
S. A.
Nice little shopping centre with easy parking. Not as big as I thought it might be but a very clean and modern centre.
T. C.
Malls are never inspiring at the best of times, but these type are really quite dismal. Get rid of them and help the high street, I say.
C. F.
Lots of great shops, very clean and very friendly staff.
R. W.
What to say about that place....ok shopping centre with all you might or might not need 🤷♂️😁
J. T.
Great shopping centre nice and clean with access to all sorts of shops and outlets to various streets
S. P.
Not as good as it once was...hardly any shops in here now, walked through thinking I could get a few bits and pieces but ended up going round and back out empty-handed but it depends what you need I guess
J. G.
Ok as shopping malls go but limited in regard to the variety of outlets. Typically of an Aberdeen establishment it has a diverse collection of eateries but limited, though interesting retail outlets
D. J.
Picking up.....more shops in here than there was a year ago
C. M.
Great selection of shops, bars, eateries all offering something different.
Close to transport hubs what more do you want
P. C.
Good, but needs food & drink lacking.
B. E.
I've been there for an exam and passed but the building was getting renovated it was quite filthy walking up the steps
J. C.
Slightly tired shopping centre with a few decent shops like hmv and a Danish shop
J. K.
Went to buy beach towels, very busy at tills, had to queue but it didn't take long to check out and make payment, good experience.
E. M.
Got the essential shops anyone would need..
N.
Nice and clean shame aberdern city center is going down hill
M. C.
Not a lot to see and we went on a quiet day prefer Dundee to shop
D. D.
Nice mix of shops and good it connects to union st, bridge st, and guild st
A. T.
GREAT SHOPPING 🛍 CENTRE SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES IN PLACE SHOP TO SHOP LOT'S OF SALES ON AT THE MOMENT.
J. D.
Not the same since Debenhams closed. Jewellers gone too and hiking clothing shop. Primark always good value. Aberdeen city centre is struggling. Lots of empty shops. Such a shame
M. M.
Usually wait here whilst madam does some shopping. It's easier on my old pins.
C.
Many of the shops, you don't need to enter via the Trinity Centre eg Primark. Unfortunately the centre is a wee bit tired looking and since it was built the whole shopping experience has changed. Not sure exactly what the solution is but it didn't fill me with joy coming here to shop, especially the hike up and down those back stairs - lethal
S. A.
Good food and great staff, especially salt and pepper or the caramel 🙂
E. W.
A small and rather insignificant shopping centre, compared to Aberdeen's other centres. It seems stuck in the past, with an early 2000s look and feel to the place. It only has a small selection of shops, with a few empty units too. Would probably give this one a miss if you're just passing, as it's not really worth the time! 😕
S. C.
Not the Best range of shops in this Center any longer, other Centers in Aberdeen have definitely taken over from the Trinity over the years, Debenhams, HMV, Primark, Argos, Card Shops & Jewelers is about your lot here. Parking Lot is good, reasonable priced also. Expect long queues into the Car Park though at weekends.
r. k.
Literally, made me to feel astonished by having glimpse over this place.
M. Q.
Again just another shopping mall not very interesting, but definitely interesting for a younger generation.
R. R.
I usually shop first thing before the mad rush comes on. I love poundland and I'm loyal to saving a few £££.
Review revision 07/04/22
There is no Poundland store in aberdeen city centre since Poundland changed venue space to the Trinity Centre - yet this store isn’t completed and Aberdonians and visitors have been waiting over a yr and also without explanation as to what’s occurring on this new site.
I can’t get to the store in Berryden so unfortunately I won’t be shopping at Poundland until hopefully they’re in a position as a company to bring a store in the city (once more). I do hope they can.
A. A.
My Wife & me. Had a great day shopping here. On our first visit to Aberdeen. Fantastic city
T. M.
Quite dull and gray place. To be honest I only remember couple of stores located there. Mostly used as a shortcut from Union Square to Union Street. Only bought there a thing or two. It has potential to become a better and more interesting centre, but so far nothing special.
L. M.
Lovely shopping centre. Just a shame the stores are disappearing.
a. s.
Wish was still up here loved scotland so much
J. Y.
Just walked through looked clean and well maintained
r. s.
Small selections of shops, good for toy shops, the toilets are very far downstairs. It has primark. Parking area.
A. S.
It's okay in the sense it's not that to our expectations.
A. M.
Good variety, competitive price .
D. J.
Tried the massage chair, will be using it again
P. G.
Been visiting Aberdeen for over 3 years now and only found out lately that if u walk through the trinity centre it gets me to Union Street twice as quick....shops look good too gonna shop wen I'm flush lol
P. K.
The junior cousin to the bigger shopping centres. Not bad, but with empty units when we visited.
A. M.
Lovely place. Very warm. A great place for shopping with friends and family. So many shops to get everything you need. And has a wonderful link from Union street to the train station and also and exit that you can access to Union Square. Shopper friendly and family friendly atmosphere and surrounding
A. M.
It's OK, I guess... Like the city, this is place is no longer what it used to be.
A. V.
Standard set of shops with the exception of John Lewis's. Waterston especially is a good place for coffee. Addendum: waterstones toast, Debenhams toast, Schu toast..depressing.
R. A.
You need to be here,it's the center of all that happens
R.
Great place lots of shops and selection.
m. m.
Not too many shops now I noticed the difference from last year
В. И.
A lot of people, but all the same as everywhere
w. R.
Loads of great high street shops . Primark was fabulous much better than my local one . Great place to shop
T. C. S.
Needs some better shop's but it's the best one out them all now bon accord is dead and St Nicholas always feels like a chore.
A. A.
This is an indoor shopping centre containing a small variety of shops including an entrance to Primark, clothing shops, jewellers, greetings card shops. Toilet facilities on lower floor. Lift available. Multi storey parking available. Wheelchair accessible. Parking quite expensive. Few mins walk from train station. This is in the centre of the main shopping streets and centres.coffee shops and baker for an inexpensive snack.
S. T.
It's looking dated now and thanks to covid and online shopping, there are a lot of vacant shops. Car park is a good size, reasonably priced.
A. M.
Some good shops but like most places quite a few empty shops
B. W.
Ok but not much shops .
S. c.
Sad reflection of what was once a busy city centre shopping mall. Empty shops, low footfold with little prospect of improving.
T. T.
Has various rage of luxury and entertainment shops along with some nice snack premises and a healthy smoothie bar. Nice to stroll plus brows through. There will always be a shop with something that will peak your interest. My personal favourite is HMV; I do love a good entertainment collection
M. M.
What are they going to do with the empty Debenhams?
It has basically the same shops as the other places..
Holland and Barrett, Superdrug, card shops and a few jewellery shops
At least HMV is still with us and the old Waterstone's will soon be Poundland
W. m.
Plenty parking. Good to see super drug still open. Really liked flying tiger shop and Primark of course.
T. R.
Not as good as I would like! Love Tiger, card factory, and the new toy shop is great but some of the others are getting tired looking and I don't think we need all those jewellers (especially those expensive ones, one is enough!)as they always seem empty!!!
H. R.
Plenty of shops and restaurants. Great deals in shops, Plenty selection of goods.
A. W.
So many big stores now gone. Pity as it was a great place to shop.
b. h.
Well maintained shopping centre
A. S.
Alot of shops now closed and not so good replacements. Has a signed for poundland opening spring 2021 but not open? Not as good as it used to be.
R.
Never Had any problems with this place
S. M.
Not the centres fault totally, but for a shopping mall in Scotland's 3rd city located in its main street - very poor.
a. s.
It's very sad to see the shopping centre so empty after covid. The centre itself is well kept but the economic climate and spaces for people has left the place a shell of itself.
D.
Good range of shops but very busy and people ignoring social distancing measures!
a.
It's ok not to many shops inside. Could do with a few more places to have a drink at. Parking is reasonably priced. Overall ok shopping centre.
C. S.
Good place, nice shops
G. A.
Dont usually go here unless its to get my lunch while working security at primark.
M. V.
With a wide range of standard shops this is a standard shopping centre. The anchor stores are John Lewis, Next and boots but a wide variety of clothing, footwear and others are in the centre.
The food court is generally clean but uninspiring.
The toilets are similar but we'll maintained.
The centre is ready to access from the street at both ends and has ample car parking which is served by lifts and while not cheap, is not excessively expensive.
C. P.
Public toilets down stairs, shops are ok, generally more quiet than the other centers in town. Lack of bins though.
D. K.
Lovely meal.clean and spacious facilities.
S. R.
Some amount of outdoor and sports equipment. All at reasonable prices too. I was like a kid in a toy shop. Cant wait to return
B. G.
Great Shopping Center but only parked car in carpark to go to a show nearby.
P. D.
Trying hard here... Poor place is doing it's best, but with so many empty shop units it must be hard. On a plus side... Loved the lively and party piped music... Didn't know if I wanted to shop or dance!
N. G.
You can find most anything there also you can get lovely meals to.
C. C.
Nice airy shopping centre shame its not fully filled with shop but during covid times im not surprised.. cleaning team do great job! as no bins and never no rubbish pleasant place to visit love debehams, gregs, superdrug ,primark, Holland n Barratt, hmv.!!
D. G.
Getting more and more empty, and simply doesnt have many reasons to bother going in. Feels like a wannabe shopping centre in a small satellite town. Only reason I was there was because I was passing through on-route to somewhere else.
G. L.
Haven't been in in a while loved the new shops
D.
This shopping centre is a small one. They do have a car park. They also have toilets. The centre is also approximately 1 mile from the trian station and bus station and the same from the union square shopping centre.
J. T.
Plenty shops and space to get your shopping done only problem was the amount of stairs coning in from the station side would be better with escalators
M. A.
A very nice, clean shopping centre with a variety of shops.
L. T.
You can cut through the shopping centre to get to the train and bus stations. The shops in here are OK and you can also get to primark etc. The staff in here are all right and there are security guards. The centre could be a bit cleaner also.
a. a.
You can find here Debenhams which have all the big makeup and perfumes brands and everything to your needs. Another brand primark is cheap and have everything in your budget. there are also many other brands in fact its a good place to visit. Environment is good and friendly.
A. W.
There seems to be a lot of shopping centres in Aberdeen, this one has a few interesting stores, a centrally located car park with ample spaces and great toilet amenities. It also offers a covered short cut between the railway station and Union Street although the stairs are murder, what about an escalator?
M. S.
I like this place, shame its slowly dying. More and more shops are getting closed.
D. M.
Not loads of shops but worth a visit, also easy way to get from union station to union street apart from steep steps on entry they kill me every time 😓😊
J. L. -. P.
Its good place for shopping and parking with a lots of spaces and cheaper than in town, 3.60 - 2 hours.
R. W.
Clean and well kept. Good parking facilities, not too expensive either. Not a great amount of shops, but what is there is good and it's right on the high street, so good access to good plenty of other shops and restaurants.
M. G.
First time visiting so took a while to find our way around. Very clean and welcoming
J. D.
Good, well laid out Shopping Mall, has shops such as DEBENHAMS, SCHUH, SUPERDRUG ERNEST JONES JEWELLERY, plus side entrance to PRIMARK. Various stands offering phone accessories/photo frames &framing, Passport Photos available from a booth
s. n.
Could do with replacing the empty shops but still clean and security are helpful
M. S.
I used to really like coming into this shopping centre, alot to offer darting between HMV into waterstones and then order a thing or two from Argos, I even miss the stalls they had selling knick knacks and sweets, hard to find those jolly rogers.
I only really come this way passing through on my way to the train station.
j. p.
not been to Trinity for a few months so great to see the new LED lighting installed - makes a big difference, and also see the team keeping on top of the paintwork. great location with great standards and contactless payment
JP
n. r.
Not a lot of shops left, they have some smaller trinket and card shops but not as good as it once was
J. B.
Not too many people, hate the stairs from Union Square and the train station, especially carrying a suitcase, but I could have walked around to the 3rd entrance
A. M.
Got a few good shops but needs updated a bit. Maybe some more seats if you need a rest. Took my elderly mother out and she needed a seat and couldn't get one.
S.
Nice wee center with a small selection of shops.
Good Central location with seating and parking.
H. E.
Quite a selection of shops available. Bathrooms are underground . It's a short cut to Union Square shopping mall and Aberdeen train station
O.
Got lost in it. Then it was okay.
M. A.
Love the parking facilities. Gets you right into centre of town. Also good variety of shops in this centre, Trespass, Debenhams, Jewllery, herbal, cards, Greg's, Nails, Primark and more. Recommend.
G. S.
Lots of good shops all under cover. A large variety of consumer goods can be got as you would expect. Near to two other large shopping centers. Situated beside the bus and train stations.
P. J. (.
I like it, it's got a good vibe about it and has a lot of different shops to occupy your time
Y. A.
A nice array of shops located here. Not quite as big as the bon accord or union Square but has a particularly large Debenhams that is very popular
B. H.
Great shopping experience nice mix of retail and food
M.
This is a very pretty church that I found to be a calm and centring place in the centre of Aberdeen. It's worthwhile visiting if you have the time there and enjoy that type of architecture and are nearby.
D. H.
Ok warm but too many chuggers every day in your face, it's not pleasant and quite intimidating. I donate online and don't need a bucket shoved under my nose thank you!!
A. F.
Clean and well ventilated people all wearing masks makes you feel safe
K. W.
Not it's normal vibrant self but, what retail mall is right now? Never the less still most shops open. Shame that Debenhams cafe was closed. The Costa downstairs was open.
C. p.
It has Argos and Debenhams and HMV also great juice bar and also is a joined to primark . Also Jewellery shops and a cafe also great parking , they can wash and valet you're car for a decent price and theres a shue the footwear shop and a greigs also other couple of shops and stèps down to the railway station and unoin square .
S. D.
Decent shopping but avoid the parking if you drive something tall, wide or long.... Or honestly anything bigger than a Fiat 500. It's ridiculous. And expensive.
A.
Few empty shops at the moment but the other ones give you a good selection
l. m.
Nice selection of shops. Clean, toilets are well kept.
C. V. B.
Take a walk up the steps, the roof garden is a great place to take a seat and enjoy the peace inside the city.
S. M.
Good selection of retailers and clean well lit areas. Just a pity they haven't caught on to the fact thete is a bit of a recession on and Aberdeen is no longer a money tree.
X. O.
Oldskool shopping centre located in the heart of Aberdeen city. As you enter you have to climb a mountain of stairs so be prepared for a workout.
There is disabled access round the back of needed.
The toilets are deep underground and also a bit of a trek...
Good for Primark and Debenhams. In terms of variety of shops you are probably best going to the Bon Accord centre but the trinity centre is a good alternative and has a better car park.
There are always homeless people hanging around outside the centre bit they are usually harmless mannies.
It also has a Greg's which is fine for stuffing your face with sausage rolls or a steak bakes etc
Overall I'd recommend going if you can be bothered.
P. H.
Nice little shopping mall just off Union Street. The best place to buy Harris Tweed in Aberdeen is here, a small stand just inside the Northern entrance (Union Street entrance).
N. G.
Very clear and easy to get about and nice choice of shops
Y. S.
Could do with a 're vamp as starting to get dated sadly. Still has a good selection of shops and has it's own underground parking, which also offers free toilets.
L. B.
Very busy ,missing a lot of shops now no argos ,no shuh , no waterstones, needs an injection of something think its only busy because people are passing through from union street to union square .Up and down the dreaded stairs .
J. C.
Excellent place to shop
A. D.
Quite good shopping place. You can walk through it from union street to come out next to union square
A. P.
Plenty of shops in the Trinity Center, with my favourite shop Primark! And many other great shops : book shops, shoes shops, Debinghams and plenty of places to eat! Many other shops including health foods.
n. a. f. 1.
A lot of the shops are closed now due to Panademic witch is a shame. But still a good wee center.
S. G.
Nice little place has everything weather shopping or grabbing a bite to eat.
N. F.
It is a small mall, not for shopping clothes because it has a few shops.
M. Y.
One of the oldest Shopping malls in Aberdeen, all shops are on one level except for Debanhams department store and Primary. Same old usual shops. Pleasant inside, clean.
R.
Lovely shopping centre. Good variety of shops always busy. Lovely kiosks at main doors too with interesting and unique items
G. M.
Union Square's most modern shopping center. All major brands hosted. Plenty of restraints and even a cinema.
u. H.
Good shopping area with reasonable price
K. M.
Went on a Sunday, it's maybe better during the week?
R. M.
Got a nice Mantaray jacket in the Debenhams sale yesterday, saved £120 on original price. Gotta love a bargain like that.
P. I.
Lots of stores
B. F.
Decent surroundings, and the food is good. Portions are hefty, so go for the lighter lunch menu at lunchtime, unless you want a good sleep in the afternoon!
M. W.
Great shops, not to busy, it was very clean.
S. M.
Okay shopping centre in the city centre but showing its age now. Lots of vacant units and it has lost its flagship store
G. R.
It's a shopping centre. It's clean with a good range of shops. Gutted at the fact that Costa seems to have moved out of Waterstons and into Debenhams. What do I do now?
C. S.
It's quiet, hmv is over priced, Waterstones and Argos have gone. Fine if you want a birthday card or a pie from Greggs...
J. M.
I like the trinity centre as it is always very clean and has so many different kinds of shops under one roof including places to eat which I'd highly recommend
S. D.
Nice place to visit
O. M.
Love it here. Keeya is a place for eyebrows threading and I love getting them done here and shopping is good too!
I. P.
The place would be all the better if there wasnt the people from Shell Energy trying to sign you up. I positively hate that sort of thing . It's a bit like cold calling.
D. C.
Not bad place. A little dingy, but nice enough
R. C.
Not a lot of retail left. Ought to remove the "opening in spring 2001" for poundland!!
p. f.
As a wander through experience, I thought it was a bit sad, but I really don't have festivities at the top of my mind, anyhoo it's OK but nothing blew my socks off.
N. G.
So sad to see this once thriving Retail space with closed units hopefully it won't be to long before it's thriving again
E. H.
What can I say not the same place as there's some great shops missing
m.
I remember a time in the distant past where the walls to the entrance of the Trinity Centre depicted scenes of fisherman either working out at sea or at the market selling thier catch that day. That's long gone now.
A. M.
Good place and a lot of shops available
B. B.
A food choice to buy
O. R.
A relatively smaller mall with a reasonable collection of stores mostly small ones. It has internal access to Primark and Dabenham's which adds convenience.
H. G.
Going down hill even now with this covid alot of the good shops have gone
H. G.
Like the shops here but sparce as some closed a shame
L. J.
Lots of choices and there is places for coffee and something to eat like Gregg's or In Debenhams and there Argos and other shops too and it's got plenty parking and it's on union street
A. S.
Very quite, clean and tidy, a few shops empty.
D. T.
Only a few shops in it still good for a look ie around tho 👍🏻
S. M.
Some bargain shops in comparison to union Square shopping centre across the road. Looks a bit run down
N. D.
love this place with plenty of shops for the other half to be happy and food outlets with drinks to keep me happy 😁😁😁😁😁😁🍻
B. D.
Nice clean, parking underneath and a good assortment of shops quite small shopping centre though
D. S.
Good shopping center with a good selection of shops. Also provides free WiFi. The stairs from Guild street are horrible though, escalator would be a thing to put in.
A. U.
Lots of shopping options under one roof. Seating in common areas can be increased. Washrooms not on every floor.
K. J.
A lot of shops, very clean and nice place
D. C.
Shame its half empty. The council need to pull their finger out and lower the shop rates
B. “. H. I. C. H. I. O.
Just shopping and has shops for kids and crafts and DIY lovers
g. R.
It's got shops in it still so that's a plus, nothing bad but nothing great
D. F.
Love Waterstone's for their gadgets and gifts even more than for their books - always something nice to buy!
K. G.
Easy parking, toilets, some good shopping and access to centre of Union Street plus short walk to Union Square.
F. B.
Nice and quiet to shop. Be good when the new Poundland opens.
T. R.
Shame most units unopened at present time.
C. E.
Small shopping mall with an outdoor shopping area as well. Useful brands.
m. e.
Plenty of shops here and places to have a bit of lunch
G. R.
Lots of good shops and lots of choice
J. G.
Bright spacious shopping centre with many well known retailers.
A. I.
Fabulous shops, it's big and airy, plus lovely and warm on a cold day.
J. G.
Nothing out of the ordinary
C.
Good shopping centre, with high retail stores. Clean and nice place. Also a few good restaurants.
A. R.
Its got good shops but the harassment from the stalls in the middle everytime you walk past is too much mind you not every stall is luke that its just a few.
T. E.
An OK shopping centre, not a massive amount of choice. The stairs to the train station are really steep, really poor planning / design by the architects.
J. A.
Mediocre shopping centre at best but the parking is handy.
E. O.
I loved it. There's a wide variety of stores and options for you to get almost anything you're looking for
N. S.
Only went into halfords to get a wiper nice friendly staff
L.
Good range of shops and places to eat. Parking available and great central location.
M. A.
Good range of shops, not the most accessible toilets
G. W.
Good selection of shops and covid-19 rules being followed 🤘🏻😁
F. R.
Good range of shops, helpful staff
l. g.
Some nice shops, generally clean and tidy
N. M.
Any time spent here is well worth the trip. Great shops and decent prices
P. D.
Nice little shopping centre,it's good that you can get from the station to union Street by way of the glazed walkway
Z. L.
Great for going to the bus station.
Great for shopping as well.
S. E.
A mall with a large variety of shops.. u have to go down to basement level to find the toilets and it's 42 steps.. we normally visit here for Primark and Argos..
