S. C.The Arcade in Bedford runs from High Street and aims to be for upmarket independent businesses. It is a pleasant enough walk-through but very high rents for the shop units has meant that several good businessess have relocated elsewhere in Bedford.
That said, this is a good shopping space with some nice shop window displays and is always worth a look is a town that has suffered from the loss of several large chain stores.
Hopefully, the smartening up of High Street will help to encourage more independent retailers, taking us back to how Bedford used to be....a town of small businesses.

D. E.Definitely a place shoppers in Bedford should visit. It includes the oldest shop in Bedford, ice cream parlour, vitamins and minerals shop, clothing, furniture, retro games arcade, vinyl records shop and many more.
D. W.The arcade has a good range of small business that really feel like the heart of Bedford. From sweet shops to tattoo parlours you can find almost anything to suit your needs in this charming little area of Bedford.
R. W.Great service waited for about ten minutes had appointment sorted my eyes out helped me pick my glasses and explained my new lenses you have to wear a mask and they cleaned down after each customer.

S. S.Worth a visit. Several independent shops. The traditional old sweet shop stocks all the old favourites. A vinyl shop & pleasant gift shop.

N. L.We visited Gallone for a delicious ice cream. I love the colourful decor of the place, the kindness of the owner, Martin and of course, the ice cream is delicious. A great local business!

L. R.The Arcade has had a total revamp! The Arcade now has lots of independent retailers such as a florist, an upcycling shop, arts and crafts and a shop selling Film Merch. Gellatos and the sweet shop are still there. Gellatos was doing a deal where hot drinks were £1 at certain times. It's much nicer In their now, would recommend a visit!
