Reviews of Capitol Shopping Centre
Nice big shopping centre but seems dead. Not alot of shops and Not alot going on. Empty areas need filling with things, to creat more traffic.
Well maintained sadly a lot of the shops are empty however they seem to be letting independent artist use it as a temporary gallery which is wonderful
Some nice shops here its a shame there are so many empty stores
Barely any shops. Fell over and sprained my ankle in the car park because there are potholes in the car park.
Kept clean and tidy. Sea like every shop you'll ever need is inside
This is a pleasant shopping centre that is trying to find its future in the changing world of retail. I hope it finds a good one.
I loved this place, the gym looks amazing and it really compliments st David's just down the road
I really love Marks and Spencer super market Talbot Green this is my Favourite super market xxx
Lovely building no real ambience to the shopping experience though
A bit run down but plenty of shops open. Clean and tidy throughout.
Soooo much to choose from and glad to see a lot have managed to stay open and survive in these sad times
Always like going to capital good shops nice employees just love Cardiff in general
A lot of the small business that have closed big names store still open boots the chemist is open tesco express open phase eight just about open a ladies hairdressers up stairs still open a change cafe at front open To veggie cafe still otherwise about itnot sure of any other companies that in complex
Beautifully festive with great shops for the whole family
It's been a while, virgin megastore has been replaced by Tesco. Not as iconic as it was in the 90's with the bandstand outside but still a go to in Cardiff
Such a good shopping centre in Cardiff, all the shops you'd want to go to.
Only really use it for the Tesco as it's near work but it has on site parking.
Although I've nt been into this place but walk pass the place and it a nice place from seeing it
Car park was severally taped off in areas, no idea if this was a safety issue as there was no signage as to why. Glad I didn't have the kids with me. The exit was POORLY sign posted for disabled access!! Signs led away from the main lifts (figured they must be closed) small lift at the stairs was not working so me and my crutches had to brave 4 flights down. On my return we went in to double check the lifts (I was exhausted at this point and couldn't face those 4 flights again) found the lifts working but again poorly signposted. Sad to see how unused the centre is tho 😕 very clean and tidy as always 👍
Great shopping centre, would highly recommend
Modern arcade with a lot of potential, such a shame there are a lot of empty stores.
Awesome shopping centre, clean, lots of security so it's safe and many shops to choose from
Plenty on offer, pity about the high street.
Lovely gift shop and Portuguese sandwich deli bar. Look out for unusual shops there. Worth a visit. Parking is good here but a bit pricey.
Suffering a but due to recession, pandemic etc but doing their best.
Covid restrictions, have interupted visits to the City Centre, so it's been 2 years plus since my last trip. So many "homeless people", scattered around, so many broken lives. A very sad sight indeed.
Had a wonder not much in there though
Mainly empty, which is a shame. Great for parking though
Not alot of shops mostly just tesco in here.
Just seems like the forgotten shopping centre not much there bit sad really
What a smashing shopping cenre and Cardiff amazing place
Not alot of shops there but it did have a nice few places to eat and art exhibits
Great selection of shops and restaurants
Plenty - there's alot and don't miss what's new with the shops and businesses that's fastly taking up the slots available, Some of latest innovations with shops and business like that are there for one to look or spend, fun for the family.
Very quiet, Massage chairs available here to help your aches and pains, £1 for five minutes. Refreshing.
Tesco is another Shop which is very nice to go to. The staff are very helpful and come along and help customers to find what they want. All the Shops I have gone to are very very good.
A very good place to shop, well located, clean and tidy
Lots to look at whilst walking through this centre, plenty of choices of shops etc. Worth a visit.
It's a nice place. The Gym looks very interesting. The Tesco here has a good collection.
There's not much there is shopping but the Holy Ground cafe shop is worth going for a visit and nice cup of tea and coffee
It's just like any other shopping mall
Sadly, it feels a little abandoned right now, with coronavirus and everything. However, thank you for keeping your wonderful parking offer on Sundays - only £2 all day!
Went on Boxing Day, luckily it wasn’t too busy
Centre of the city, everything is near by and a great choice of shops.
All the major shops you would expect to see and it's very clean and easy to walk around .
Plenty of choice safe covid shopping Henry's food Not very Good .Still did have enough time to visit more places in Cardiff plenty to do
Having a gym and cinema is a win... Tesco express pret and boots fill the big name quota, but this place is now the wrong end of town sorry to say
Parking reasonable priced, lots of shops to choose from, easy access to the highstree and a pub lunch is a must, make a day of it.
Many stores arrayed inside, several top branded shops with the occasional bargains on offer to buy if one takes the time to shop around.
I worked here in retail for a while. It is a nice shopping centre. Has all you need for a shopping day. Even all the restaurants. Shake shack is always a good option. And for a nice weekend the mini golf is a good choice
What a great shopping experience, the place is huge, with every kind of retail shop. the staff are awesome, pointing out the stores or facilities you require.
Plenty of toilet areas, take a radar key if you are disabled to gain access.
Parking is easy to achieve either on street or in the massive car park above the complex.
Good parking facilities.
The best bridal shop I have ever visited is in this shopping centre Celtic Brides. Their shop is absolutely gorgeous. Finding my dress at Celtic Brides was the loveliest experience I could ever have wished for. I only knew Capitol existed because of them. Since I've bought my dress there, I've bought in Phase Eight and the furniture shop
Handy for parking if you get there early with a good early bird deal for all day. The mall itself has probably seen better days. The shops are constantly changing and the most popular destination is the Tesco and the gym. There is also a cinema which I have no experience of so can't comment. Toilets are there and functional.
Some great new independent shops in there. Selling interesting and fashionable apparel (Splash of Vintage is awesome), food (I love Burrito Brothers), furniture and even a Cinema with excellent prices. I believe they are planning to bring in some more independent shops too.
Amazing indoor area amplified by the motorbike and car amusement sit on objects and the hanging beach balls inspire wonder.
Loved Cardif. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!
Needs more retail tenants
Coffe, food, clothes. Cheapest and friendliest cinema in Cardiff.
The biggest shipping mall I have ever been that's for sure. You can find all kind is shops here including all the fast food restaurants, IKEA. It's so big you need a map if you don't want to be lost or use your smart phone. You really need a full day of you up to shopping and not just visiting the area like we did.
Recently added free ping-pong🏓 that is very enjoyable! but the place is deserted with barely any shops but carpark is useful and used and the place has a cinema and lockers just need more shops but their is a pound land and a new shop but otherwise the shop issue a great place.
EDIT: Ping pongs gone and the Poundland so it's even more empty
I was shocked when i visited this shopping centre. The majority of the units are empty. Possibly moved to the John Lewis arcade. Whomever owns this centre or Cardiff council need to offer some deals so that small businesses can access the units at a reduced rate. It's a shame to have so many empty units.
Lots of shops, always nice and clean inside
Very nice, nany shops. I just came here to visit Nata & Co. and Tesco.
it's very clean safe and secure I saw quite a lot of security walking about the shops I watch you expecting a shopping centre there are no issues whatsoever and I don't recall the music being particularly loud
Great shopping center. A little bit of everything. Remember to check upstairs. It seems everyone misses going up there but it is definitely worth a look. Home to easygym (a low cost no fuss gym close to the student area), tesco, cafe nero and many more. Check out their website for more information and if you are close by, it is worth checking it out.
It's nice to see the Capitol Shopping Centre filling up again and hopefully the existing shops will stay awhile longer than some of the previous occupants. We particularly like the cinema as it's a bargain for a family of 4 at just £4 per a person and the snacks aren't too pricey either. We also like the Cardiff Creative shop where we can spend hours painting pottery and taking part in other hands-on activities like wire tiara making and sculpting. There are plenty of other shops in the centre to nose around or have a quiet cuppa and a spot to eat. There is parking on site and the toilets are clean but you do need to make your way upstairs to access them.
The busy centre to spend, bit make sure you calculate your shopping before getting there
Great clean shopping centre, everything you need with clean toilets and stores, very safe place to shop...high levels of security
Good place to go many interesting bargains and people to see
Quite a nice place to look around if you're in Cardiff City Centre, it's undercover,& has a good variety of shop's to go & browse or buy lots of different products, clothing, household goods, make up, perfumes and alot of other things that I think most females both young teens, middle aged & the older ladies , there is also seats if you want to sit down for a while or if you want something to eat &drink you don't have to leave the Centre to find somewhere to do this.
Was not happy with disabled toilet I used. It didn't seem to have been cleaned for a while and there was no toilet tissue.
Go and visit Glen inside the Holy Ground Coffee shop. And underneath there's a really cool looking bubble tea/shakes bar. They have bean bags and Mario Kart.
Good shops, not as good as it once was.
Always very quiet in this place, but I park here and its nice to walk through, always do a little Tesco shop before I head home! There's lifts, and it's always clean here.
The shopping center feels a little antiquated by modern standards BUT the car park is great and the cinema is lovely (reclining seats for all). Overall it's very nice and well equipped.
Nice enough shopping venue. Clean and safe environment. Pretty much all major chains though so don't expect any excitement.
Visited here for a coffee before running the cardiff half marathon. Clean place but the shopping centre doesn't open the toilets early on a sunday which is a nightmare when everyone needs to use one before the race.
We parked here, as the at David's car park was full - Sunday afternoon.
It seemed a bit run down & a lot of the units were empty, so not that many peopleI suspect a lot of the business had moved to the newer st David's shopping centre, which was busy ( more foot traffic ?).
Almost every fashion chain you could think of under one roof or in the vacinity some of which are zara,Radley, super dry, hollister many more too numerous to list
I have lived in Cardiff my whole life, 35 years. Even though it has been very publicly acknowledged that there aren't as many shops open in The CAPITOL SHOPPING CENTRE, Cardiff, as there was say 10 or so years ago, it's still a lovely place to visit, as it holds so many memories and is very well maintained.
very busy place with lots of variety to choose from. Any thing from a hair grip to a Pandora bracelet. Once you are shopped out you can either go for a coffee and cake or a meal of your choice, anything from fish and chips toa fabulous Italian washed down with a bottle of wine.
Lovely food place short train ride from premier inn city centre
Huge shopping centre where your kids will get lost if you don't strap them down. Throughout the shopping centre you will notice steel posts whereby you can chain your child up outside a shop. Some posts also have a local whip whereby you can have the shop assistant whip the sh@t out of your child if they dare call out your name while u are still in the store shopping.
Plenty of shops and small cafe areas here in the capitol centre. As well as ample parking and a cinema which is good value for money. 2 levels in this centre as well as parking above that which is accessed and exited from the rear of the building. Also there is a Tesco here for general shopping needs. Close to Churchill way for bus needs too. As well as being on the doorstep of Queen Street.
Couple of cafes and shops and Tesco Metro is in there and there is a gym on the second floor.
Quite big and with good shops
A once great shopping centre which seems to be conceding to the newer, bigger and better St David's shopping centre. Used to have a lot of different shops here but everytime I go there seems to be one less. Still has a cinema and a gym and a big parking lot too which are ok pluses if only more brands would set up shop there.
It's a big beautiful shopping place and i love it - has everything you need. Security guards are brilliant and add to the safety of the atmosphere, making you feel relaxed and they are also very helpful when asking for directions.
This place is excellent and I thoroughly recommend that you visit it has lots and lots of really good things to see that as some really nice shops and places to buy food and bread and cake and all kinds of lovely things and I think that if you go you will have a lovely time I went with my friend and we took some of our other friends and when we went in we said that we would like to go shopping and the nice people here said here is a map and we'll can find your way around and buy all the things that you like to buy an I said that is a capital idea and they said this is the capitol shopping centre because this town is the capital and I said perfect I would like to buy Paris and they said you can't buy Paris and I said but Paris is a capital and I would like to buy a capital because this is a capitol shopping centre and they said
The number of shops keeps decreasing, so it's becoming less interesting to attend. But it has Premiere Cinemas - the one that started off the whole £4 cinema ticket thing in Cardiff - so that's not a bad thing.
This shopping center seems to be going down hill. Shops empty some of our goverment should be surport our shopping areas with helpping cut costs on rent and rates. Come on cardiff you can do better. It's not good seeing shops empty.
You could happily explore here for up to a week I'm sure. Here in Cardiff for a four night break and enjoying visiting and sampling new stores and shops 👍
As mentioned before this is good for parking and cheaper than others in town. However this has lost its sparkle and is over shadowed by other shopping centres in town . Yes its clean and tidy but the choice isn't what it used to be .
Not to all crowded had a pleasant time doing my shopping
Not enough shops
Great place to shop
Went into spiffing retail and what a great shop with very helpful staff, bought a few ornaments and gonna buy a great corner sofa from there, well worth visiting 😀
I remember this when it was a theater. I saw the likes of ROXY MUSIC (3)times here. The ALEX HARVEY BAND just after the Bay City Rollers played and the fans wrecked the first 3 rows of the seating. Anyway I shop here now for my accessories mainly
Capital Shopping Centre is a small shopping centre in Cardiff with a varied selection of shops, cafes, restaurant, gym and nightclub.
There is a Cinema with tickets priced at £4 per ticket any day, any time. Drinks and snacks are very reasonable also. Access to the Premier Cinema is available both outside the shopping centre as well as inside.
They have parking on 2 levels for 388 cars above the centre with competitive pricing and spaces for disabled on both levels. Sunday parking is just £2 all day.
Entrance to the centre is on level ground with a power assisted at each entrance and lifts to all floors.
Great variety of shops.
Clean and well presented.
Best place to go for shopping in the UK! Been to many cities and for me this centre stands out. Obvious bonus of being all inside so doesn't matter what the weather is doing outside. All the shops you can think of with the addition of the food court for your evening dining. TGIs, Prezzo, Nando's to name a few. Would recommend parking here too as again you don't have to go outside to get in your car.
It’s anodyne, like most shopping centres. But okay for shopping, with some decent shops. Marked down because they can’t spell Capital properly. Would have been lower if they had also used the non-word “mall”
One of those places in Cardiff to go shopping to for u r grocery n medical needs in addition to some fun shopping as well... situated centrally... às well as close proximity to the piers. Well laid out parking spaces as well add to the likeability of this mall.
Oh how I'm glad that I moved house
To nearer the Welsh coast
It's close to Wales' capital
So many shops it boasts.
The Capitol is full of outlets
all my favourite goods
From 8 grand watches, running shoes
and wooly tops with hoods.
The staff are always ultra keen
I've yet to see a frown
Not like the dour expressions
that you see in shops in town.
I'm glad we've got the Capitol,
Fulfilling all our needs.
It makes it so much more unlikely
We'll move back to Leeds.
quite enjoyed my time here great selection of shops
Great selection of shops, and good for any budget. I visited again last weekend and it was packed with Christmas shoppers, can see why they go here to shop
bit old looking compared to the rest of Queen Street and doesn't compete with the St Davids shopping centres when it comes to aesthetic or selection of shops. but the shops there are really nice and the gym is cool.
Quieter than the other shopping arcades in the city. The big pull seems to be the cinema, gym and Tesco. Usually fairly clean. Quite a few vacant spaces.
Great place for all your shopping. If you live to the East of Cardiff or come from the Valleys and get off the train at Queen Street instead of Central Station, it's so convenient.
Small shopping center with different shops: Boots, tesco, art, cafe,..
I like its car park most, because it has fair prices. Cheapest full day in the city for early birds.
'Almost dead', the Capitol shopping centre used to be the heart of Cardiff now overshadowed by St David's2 hopefully redevelopment will give it a new lease of life.
AGym, Tesco, hairdresser and a few places to eat, it's quite empty after big names like H&M picked up and left for greener pastures.
A lovely shopping centre. Loads of excellent shops. Well kept.
Great 👍 👌
A beautiful shopping centre but now day by day the shops going to empty. I hope the council do something about it.
The Capital has had its day - What used to be the highlight of any young boy's Saturday in the days of the food court, Virgin, and a few other high end shops has now been resigned to what is essentially Tescos, a gym, and what feel like a series of popup shops. It's sad to see this once great shopping centre come to this as Cardiff seems obsessed with opening up more retail units than they have tenants for.
It's a shame to see so many retail units lying empty. The gym upstairs is popular though and Première Cinema around the corner, which is only £4 a ticket for any film. Grab your snacks from Tesco or Poundworld in the centre and save yourself a small fortune.
Always kept really clean but it's a shame businesses seem to be moving out
Parking on the top floors so easy access to shops and the rest of Cardiff town centre , also cinema attacted if needed . Very close to Queen st train station if traveling by train.
Visit this mall, you will sure like it
The H&M is no longer there. This place would be nicer if there were more shops open. It's starting to look like a graveyard mall.
A good place to shop for varieties
Used to be better when they had the food court years ago. The shops here are OK but it's a shame there's so many empty units here as it's a good place to go.
Lacks a lot of the life of thd other arcades and feels quite dark and closed in. But if youre into boutique fashion worth a stroll through
Is a very small Shopping Centre, but convenient as is on the City Centre. Only 2 designer trendy shops are there and Starbucks just opposite the shopping centre.
This shopping centre has lost a number of stores due to the St Davids 2 mall being made. There is a gym, Tesco, Caffè Nero, Halifax bank, Boots, Pret and a few other shops including some local stores /boutiques.
This mall is quite basic with limited shops. There's a gym, small Tesco, cafes, Boots etc. It's good for parking and some nice vegetarian food like ATMA 😋
Great place to park only £2 after 6pm until 12. Not a lot of shops here now but it used to be pretty good years ago.
Not what it used to be unfortunately, there's alot of empty spaces but the early bird parking is possibly the best in Cardiff, get in before 9am and leave before 6pm £6 all day 👍🏼
Very organised, hand sanitizer everywhere and really great staff!
Hardly anything open anymore!! Just used the carpark
Good variety of shops, good day out time flys by
Got good shops but some shops are just standing empty at the moment. I do like popping into spiffing i love a bit of bling.
Has a few shops that are great, it's a shame it's quite empty and a lot of shop space has not been filled. Also the toilets were up stairs.
Loads of shops here and a few entrances and lifts and escalators for few floors. During Christmas they had winter wonderland and Father Christmas. There's a car park here and restaurants and cafes too. It's a shopping place for everyone
Parked car here, nearly always a space and cheap, not much to look at here as not many shops.....
A lot of shops/businesses have closed over the years and are either empty or have been replaced by less prestigious establishments. However, it still has some draw.
A shadow of it's former self
Didn’t go in here today. But I can imagine it was the same as it was the last time I was in town around 4-5 months ago.
Car park does have some tight spaces and not that high. Shops come and go. Tesco, Three and Boots see to be the only ones with staying power
Decent enough shopping centre with lots of clothes shops and eateries and a good smattering of others such as electronic's (phones, laptops, etc), toyshops, craft and wool, etc. Also usuals such as Boots, M&S etc
Not many people around in the city centre, being we are in lock down
Great parking facilities, but lately a lot of the shops inside have closed down making it feel a bit empty and ghost-town like
New shopping mall in Cardiff.
Still many store yet to open.
I visited 1 month before
It is located at Queen's street and easily spotted
Pop into carphone warehouse the staff there are amazing and really helpful got me some quality deals in my years of visiting. They are really knowledgeable about most tech even wifi routers and broadband just pop in and have a chat with them best carphone warehouse I've visited so far! Make sure you mention that dan told you to visit!! The Asda there is lovely too its a little gem of a shopping centre i'd say a must visit.
Just passing through but seemed clean and tidy and plenty of shops to look in if we had had more time.
Great place to visit. Lots to see under 1 roof
Few shops empty
Haven't been there myself but I heard it good.
Easily located and happy to see that they're open.
Really nice shopping centre just with there was another escalator in between the two as its a bit of a trek if you have mobility needs
Very busy as it was early December.
Its clean the people are friendly
Great for choice plenty of shops and always plenty of staff around if you need help. Bit pricey though unless you find a good bargain in the sales
Highly recommend visiting Atma Cafe. Hands down has to be the best place to eat in Cardiff.
Good shopping center. Parking at the top.
Excellent, plenty of variety for shopping experience, clean, secure and under cover. Nice days shopping in the centre.
Service was good. A bit expensive but good quality.
Many shops and very bissy niceplace to lose a day shopping.
A girl called Samantha in tesco downstairs was a credit to her employer. So helpful.
Busy as usual especially with the build up to Christmas. The stand out feature is the craft stalls along the Hayes selling a variety of foods and crafts.
Lovely little shopping trip with the family, love the Disney store and the Lego store and this time took the kids to the Marvel Station which has set up inside the shopping centre
A pleasant experience
Big and you find everything there!!!!
Nice and quiet place, car parks, wish if there were more shops
Has the great gym for an affordable price where all classes included (and these are awesome!). Also now open 24/7 with slight limitations for parking.
Plenty of great stores, lots of excellent places to eat and meet friends and often there are exhibitions to see
Its very clean, staff are very helpful, and a good day out, if you go first thing in the morning less cues, the welsh are very friendly and lords of bars
Part it's best St David's 2 had put out to the sword still some nice good places but no longer a shopping destination 😕
Great place to go shopping so much choice. Plenty of places for food and drink as well.
It's a mostly empty mall. The only thing that keeps it alive are the tesco and the gym upstairs. They do have bathroom if you are in a hurry.
Tesco
I love this shopping center purely for nostalgia when there used to be virgin megastores over two levels but it needs more shops now, more character
Nice small mall not so far by the big st David's mall.
It's a great and vibrant shopping centre that offers a wide range of products and services to make sure that you have a great day
I only ever use this place to park my car as there are very few shops left in the centre which is such a shame. There are not enough dedicated disabled parking spaces
Very good. Loved the place well girlfriend did. Good shopping place.
Excellent shop selling a wide variety of stationary and arts supplies. In addition also sells some novelties and cards.
Charity coffee shop next to job Centre lovely coffee.
Awesome coffoee and snack and clean toliets
You can buy many things here there are a cafeterias and restaurant basically big shopping. Usually very crowded
Not many shops. Although its saving grace is the cinema attached to it. £4 pound a ticket to see a film.
Not what it used to be, but still a good mix of shops.
Only good to buy expensive clothes in, they need to allow you to walk straight through the shopping centre to get to the station so it acts like a shortcut to get more people through it.
Crazily good but can get lost easily lol as loads of shops and roads look the same after 4-5 hours shopping😊
Good car park
Small but interesting, especially Spiffing, it's got all sorts of stuff, some expensive some cheap, but fascinating stock, and brilliant customer service
Plenty of shops, snack and juice bars. I like it because you can get high end ir low cost goods. Variety always a winner with me.
Great place to shop with loads of shops and you stay dry as all under cover
Plenty of social distancing a bit busy but not too crowded
Underused and undervisited place - seems dimly lit.
Clean tidy and bright
Yes very accessible area in which you can stretch your legs and enjoy yourself with easy activities ok
If you like to shop you are in the right place. As good a shopping experience as can be I suppose if that's your thing.
No shops but parking not too busy
Can be a little over crowded but overall decent
Always enjoyed there you can spend there all day , café, toilet, all sorts of shops
Huge modern shopping centre, clean and well maintained, a wide range of welcoming stores.
Not like it used to be, more like a ghost town; maybe a sign of the times.
Often seems to not have many stores. The tesco is nice and so is the boots, but the rest of the stores seem hit or miss.
Most of the good shops has disappeared
Loads of fantastic shops, something for everyone plus plenty of places for lovely food.
Great range of shops, clean and well laid out building.
Could be a better shopping mall. It has a big parking area and Premier Cinema. Tesco metro, Boots, Pound shop, Halifax and some other shops.
Such that most of shops are empty and for rent. It is good that Tesco and Easy gym still open in!!!.
Good choice of freshly prepared sandwiches and hot drinks
Everything you could want in one place
I love spending time here i mean where else would u get food drinks shopping groceries or dresses or shoes or cosmetics or jewelry or medicine ....phuuuuuuyyyyuu so much n more...
Needs a bit more life in it. A little sparse
Capitol has everything great shopping centre reasonable car parking prices ,lots of good places to eat
Great shopping area ,really up to date stores, can buy anything here,.
Really great there and I don't even like shopping
The capital centre is very small only a couple of stores ranging from Tesco's Poundland and easy gym
Not a lot left here after Poundworld had shut down. Only some ok shops left.
Lots of good shops and eating places
Half empty place with not many interesting shop. However, fairly good parking right in the city centre.
Just about everything you need here, very busy most days.
Plenty of places to meet to chat, have coffee with friends, eat or just chill.
Good range of shops, easy to access St David's and other nearby malls.
Lovely shopping centre and I live the new shop, bought a lovely dress and supported Tenovus cancer care at the same time win win
Very nice "hipster" shops. A but dead now all the big brand shops + banks have disappeared
Lovely place to shop. Plenty of variety. Very clean
Not a lot in the arcade now. Such a shame, used to be so vibrant
Usual shopping centre stuff although the shops inside are diminishing rapidly thanks to the St Davids 2 development.
Busy Friday. But great selection of shops.
A modern shopping complex. Shops are well organised and lovely to make a choice in one place.
Warm and dry, but sterile and lacking in ambience. Modern consumerism.
It may suit some.
Not for me.
Not much going on there. Just a few shops and quite a few have shut down too.
Its a bit quiet at the moment not as many shops or customers az there usually was x
Everyone in the stores are very friendly and I love the fact the gym is in a easy reachable location
Nice little shopping centre, car park is very tight spaces, it's a quiet little place
Clean, great for parking. Could be with a few more stores inside
Poor signs couldn't find shop locations
Surprised at the amount of empty shops there are in here, remember this when it opened and the huge food hall, times change as do shoppers needs I guess
Full off all the shops you looking for ..!!!!!!!
Practically devoid of shops, more empty units than units occupied (bar the keystones of Tesco, Easy Gym, Café Nero)
Mixture of fashion shops, Tesco, and an Easy Gym. High turnover allows for frequent pop-ups too.
Quite old, bathrooms are in dire need of refurbishment, but has a reasonable selection of stores and cafés
Some lovely independent cafés and shops, especially love Atma cafe and the artsy shop with pottery painting!
Very Nice and there a lot different can get from this shopping
Great Electronic Cigarette Shop Just Opened On Ground Floor Next To Tesco And Only £2.00 To Park All day Sunday, Excellent!!
Nice shopping centre, pity that so many shops are empty. Would be lovely if it was full
Great choice of shops. Perfectly located parking for the Premier cinemas too.
Pretty boring shopping centre as far as shopping centres go, especially for being situated on one of the busiest streets in Cardiff. Nothing special in here.
Very quiet , not a lot of shops compared to other shopping centres in cardiff
Great place where you can go to the gym,do some grocery shopping or just relax on massage chairs.
Many shops clean and covid safe
Giod to ahop but you need to signpost the W.C a bit better. I know where it is because I grew up round these part but tourists are always asking
Gym is good, one or two boutiques and a pound land. Parking is decent price though
Great to get in to the Welsh capitol to spend your hard earned cash but car parking prices is way over the top!! Get the train it's cheaper
Great shopping centre, lots of choice to look at and plenty of food places to have lunch
Not too busy all round good experience
Lots of stores closed down, it's very sad to see
The capitol shopping centre was not as busy as I thought it would be which was better for shopping.
Mostly cafes, not much else in choice. Good shops but lacking in variety.
Good selection of eating establishments in the building with some outside the mall/covered area.
The capitol shopping centre is absolutely fabulous you got your clothes shop you got restaurants everything you want and to the the Centre absolutely lovely
Half the shops are shut down. The pound shop is quite good and staff friendly and polite.
Half of the units are abandoned and have been for years and years shame as it has a lot of potential

Parking is cheap, but it's the smallest shopping centre in the City, and a lot of shops moved out when St David's was built.
A really convenient place to do your normal household shopping as it sits at the beginning of the high street.
Large quiet space with independents. Needs more foot traffic though.
Nice shopping centre, pity you have to remortgage you house to pay the parking!
There are shops and it is in the center. Car part too which a little difficult to enter and exit due to the road running beside the station.
A good (if small) selection of stores. Good options for lunch around the outside. Parking availablr.
Shopping center with most staff you may be looking for . Not a bad spot to go for a look .
Love the cheap parking after 6pm, but could do with some more shops and cheaper rates in the day.
It is the best place for shopping 🛍
Very large shopping centre - great if you're a woman, not so much if you're a man.
Ok, bit too quite now needs a revamp or a reduction in rents possible make it a specialists retail outlet

It has a variety of shops, good place to pop by on a shopping day.
Ladies, you must have a look in A Splash of Vintage - they have most gorgeous shoes!
A variety of different stores with moderately priced car parking. I would recommend St. David's.
