I was pleased to see Go Outdoors still have s retail outlet in Colchester, albeit smaller than their previous store near the train station. This particular retail park in Sheepen Road still has it's Matalan Store and now also has a good sized Starbucks. Subway also have an outlet here. Parking is easy and plentiful, area is well kept.

Has Matalan, go outdoors, an Asian food shop and probably best of all Starbucks! It has 2 hours free parking if you pop into Matalan ....I think this is great to avail of if you wanna walk up to the city centre quickly!

Only a few shops in this retail park. Couple of fast food restaurants and a gym. We were only visiting Matalan. Wouldn't go there for any other reason. Its the kind of place you only go to if you've a specific reason. It's not a place you can browse the shops.

Ok bit tight parking ... not really any good shops, matalan, Costa coffee, subway, gym. Shoe zone or something. Another furniture shop but its too expensive for the clearance stuff it selling. Oh, the other day I went in there and the customer service boy was serving someone so I waited while he indulged in chit chat. Knowing I'm standing there. I kept my cool. Then he finished serving them .... just to keep me waiting...a bit longer, he offered to take their bags out to the car for them 🤬. It was a husband and wife... surely the man could have taken his own bags to his car. ( no he wasn't disabled) Any way he served me I was so angry I dear not speak... after he then tried to talk to me. I never uttered a word, paid and left. Thats the type of staff in there. You may say he's helpful... but if your the one waiting I dont think so.

We went to look for my granddaughter bike, the item was not in stock the sale adviser looked up for the next to be delivered to store, they advised us to go for the option of e mail when next available. We have done that we will get 10% saving. Every little helps. Thank you that team member.

It would be great to see this Retail Park with Outlets all Open. In the last year it must have been difficult with lack of footfall to Sheepen Road College as the Students and Staff would certainly have made up a lot of the trade here. Starbucks has remained Open but have obviously suffered . Let's hope the 17th is going to see this handy little retail park with good parking thrive again.

It's a retail park that contains a number of shops. Some useful some not. Depends what you need I guess! Parking is adequate and well spaced but not sheltered from the December rain that is common in these parts. Free parking is also a bonus, heaven forbid you overstay, then your parking tariff becomes pricey.

The car park here can be confusing and high kerbs are a risk when navigating round the cart park but otherwise this is a perfectly fine retail park and well kept. Shops have changed hands here several times but Matalan seems to stand strong. The park has an OK selection if you're going for something in particular

A useful collection of shops: matalan, shoezone, home outlet, poundland, Starbucks. Plenty of free parking. Please be aware though that the free parking only lasts for 2 hours, not 3 hours as I first thought. It's very easy to visit a couple of the shops, have a coffee & then go over the time limit...

Not a bad shopping centre here but could do with some bigger brand names! Its easy to park and there is a big Starbucks for refreshments! Its very close to the College! Ideal centre for Students as everything is the cheap end of the market but it needs a Restaurant!

This retail park isn't too bad. A new Starbucks is being built for a new rest place while you shop! Great location for the college. Usually quite hard to get in during pick up times form the school and college nearby so steer clear of about 8am to 9am and 2:30 to about 4pm. Otherwise enough parking with 2 hour limit

I visited here for a coffee, a bite to eat and to try and find a swimming float for my 6 month old granddaughter. I managed to get all 3 items, so was pleased. I gave 4* because place lacked a variety of different retail shops and was a bit sparse. Shop assistants seemed desperate for customers. Not their fault, probably due to businesses struggling as so many people shop online now.

This is a quiet place, very well organized with easy access from the main road. There is plenty of parking, as there are only few shops. With good luck you can get some amazing bargains here, especially if shopping at Choice.

The retail park is on the West side of Colchester just outside the town centre Next to the Sheepen road Institute. There is a large free carpark which serves the retail units found here. There is a large Matlab store in the main block along side a Next furniture outlet store. The second block houses a shoe shop, a large Poundland, and a gym complex. There are also two eateries with a Subway in the second block and a Starbucks coffee shop which sits on the Western side of the carpark. As well as the carpark there are covered cycle stands available for the more motivated shopper or exercise fan.

I think the name "Colchester Retail Park" is a misnomer. Yes, it's a small retail park and it's in Colchester, but the name gives this place delusions of grandeur. There's a Matalan, a Subway, a Poundland, and I think there's still a shoe shop that sells £6 shoes that fall apart after a week. Not even as big as Turner Rise, and a drop in the retail ocean compared to Tollgate. However, for the shops that ARE there there's plenty of parking but the two hour limit is a bit stingy and the parking company DO go after you big time if you go over that by a few minutes.

This place was tragic had to go to the shoezone there which was tiny, then went in Poundland and I'm sure I was the only one in there. There was a closed sports shop I would of loved to go in. The Matalan was big but still didn't purchase anything unfortunately. The Starbucks was useless misheard me twice and messed my order up.

Shame maplin has now closed down, I loved that place, plenty of parking and a few other big stores away from the busy town centre great. Also a star - lots - of-buck's who sell great coffee at amazing prices and lots of good snacks as well

Very small. Car park doesn't have a lot of space. There are no amenities here. It is free however for parking to use the local businesses. However a lot of the businesses that were there have died - Maplin, Blockbuster, Brantano and JJB sports. Replacements do eventually show up, but for how long? Matalan is the only mainstay over the years. There is now a Starbucks, but this is probably more for the local college than shoppers.

Useful small retail park with decent parking if you are looking for clothing, shoes and outdoor gear. There's a small GO Outdoors, Matalan, Shoezone here for example. There is also the ubiquitous coffee shop and fast food outlet: Starbucks and Subway in this situation and always busy, so no sign of a recession here!
