Reviews of Kingsway Retail Park
K. A.
Lovely variety of shops for all and each time I visit I'm never disappointed. I've not really dined in the food restaurants so can't review them.
The only downside that I think annoys everybody is the layout of the entrance and exit with a very busy roundabout. I think it would be better to traffic light the entrances to control the amount of traffic and crazy driving.
Always seems busy especially around the Christmas period however there is plenty of parking available and even has an overflow car park.
C. M. (.
Great range of retailers within the retail park. Ranging from TKMaxx to Pets At Home, the full list of shops should be listed on the website. I frequently visit their great range of shops. However, the flow of traffic needs to be improved, in case you are thinking about going at busy times. It has led to long waits.
L. B.
Great if you can get out of it again! Notorious for traffic hold ups as only one entrance and exit. But otherwise it has a good range of shops.
J. B.
Good local shopping facility where you can find most things you need in one place.
Easy parking and usually not too busy.
J. B.
A nice handful of shops with plenty of parking spots. One downside is if you go during rush hour it is an absolute grid lock getting out
M. P.
Hard Place to get out of. Always traffic problems leaving this retail park. I have had to challenge several tickets because I've been stuck in traffic jams trailing right back in to the car park causing me to be over the time limit for parking. Not very well designed needs a separate exit away from the very busy ring road
m. L.
Some great shops on site but it can take up 2 hours to get of the industrial park sometimes
S. D.
There was plenty of parking there and a wide variety of shops but make sure you keep an eye on the time as queues can develop at times of the day and some people have been ticketed waiting to leave the car park. Otherwise a nice shopping experience.
S. R.
There are some decent shops at Kingsway Retail Park. Plenty of parking also. It is worth a visit. The only issue that I would have is that at busy times ( like the run up to Christmas ) it can take forever to get out of the car park
B. M.
Nice selection of shops but very poor public transport connections
C. C.
Go off peak and not in a rush as you could age significantly before escaping the event horizon. Traffic queues build on Kingsway every afternoon. Several times a year this has turns the retail park into a black hole letting nothing escape for up to 3 hours.
The best the London Investment company land owners have done is turn off the parking fine cameras so you don't get a penalty notice for not being able to escape in time. And in summer its not just the car engines that end up overheating.
P. E.
Impossible to exit by car at busy times. Pedestrian access also not brilliant due to lack of safe crossing points. Good mix of stores.
V. S.
Car parking for this retail outlet is still a nightmare. Otherwise shopping there is fine.
M. m.
The place has most common shops.. cafes..free parking..its easier than going to town centre.personally I go for coffees at Costa.. its a nice place to meet friends and family socialise then go home.
M. W.
Good shopping but car park is a knightmare to get out of
B.
If you're going to Kingsway retail park get there early parking gets full really quickly. Poundland Fabulous tkmaxx lovely different items, m&s plus coffee shop, food shop.a nice wander round. Go there if you want something different, but go early.
K. T.
Great choice of shops and food retailers but again, the car park let's it down like so many others. Congestion bad.
V.
Outdoor shopping centre with a selection of shops trading various items of tatt ranging from poor tatt to slightly better tatt
C. B.
Went to this store to buy a new TV and tom and a lad name that started with a a was so helpful and I could not of ask for more if I wanted would defo use this store again
S. M.
A good retail park. Don't go when it's busy times, as getting out from the car park can take ages!
S. C.
Fine a lot of the time but occasionally a nightmare to get out of! The traffic can get pretty clogged up sometimes, seemingly at random! I was once stuck there for 2 hours.
X.
Great for a day out shopping had most of the big retailers you want to find
K.
Ok, not much of a range of shop, can be an absolute nightmare to exit if you vist at the wrong time. 2hrs plus at peak times.
D. P.
Decent shops such as TK Max, M&S and Argos to name a few. Can get busy and access at the roundabout above can be tricky at peak times. Too much traffic on the roads but that’s a different issue I suppose.
I. S.
Great out of town shopping mall with all the main convinence and diy shops.
K. J.
Traffic can be horrible can take 45 mins to get out of the ridiculous car park I feel sorry for people who get stuck there and they have to pick kids up from school
C. S.
There is a great range of shops here. The only problem - and it's a huge problem - is that when it's busy, the traffic jams are terrible. As there is only one road in and out, it's not unusual to take 30 minutes or more to get out onto the ringroad.
M. F.
It is good shopping centre. Free car parking for two hours.
D. P.
Brilliant place to shop but time it right or it will take you hours to get out the place
D. C. (. t. c.
Actually quite a lot here, well worth the 40 minute walk in the sun
B. A.
Beware of congestion getting out; weekend afternoons especially.
Otherwise a standard retail park.
C. L.
Great Park but go early. We got stuck in horrendous traffic and had to wait an hour at least till the traffic died down before we could leave. We got their at 2pm and couldn't leave until 5pm good job it wasn't a quick shop.
A. M.
A very nice retail park to shop at! If Derbion is closed, this place is your solution!
J. L.
Quiet at 8.30 in the morning...but there's everything there that you could need or want!
c. b.
Good shopping centre with a variety of shops , but be prepared for a wait to get out!
C. P.
NO PUBLIC TOILETS.
For the number of people visiting there seem to be toilets. We used the rest room at Sub way thanks to the courtesy of the staff.
Ample parking lot of options for shopping electronics, groceries etc.
Not there is limited option for buy lunch.
S. B.
Went to Hobbycraft and Boots this morning. Parking easy, as not too busy.
C.
Nice and quiet when i arrived and when i left , plenty of parking
P. B.
Very good all round selection of shops.
p. r.
Good retail park. Has all the shops I like. Traffic jams nearly always when I leave
j. c.
I like the pets at home and Currys, they are good
D. L.
Car park a night mare 45 mins to get out, which is a shame, because the retail park is a very good place to visit, spent 4 1/2 hours there.
K. C.
When you're going to the certain shop it's fine but accessibility is awful. A total of 3 parent & child spaces and about 10 disabled ones - all at the one side of the park. If you want to walk from Sainsburys to Boots you will have to dice with traffic. They have a zebra crossing and a cut through... To nothing! No crossing island or even a path to walk around the roundabout. If you get stuck walking one side of the park you can't actually get around without going back on yourself to follow the path. Also you'll most likely queue to get in and get out on peak periods.
J. H.
Avoid, avoid, avoid!
By vehicle its ridiculous, took me around 40 mins to get in, slightly less to get out, arriving around 2pm mid week leaving just after 3pm..... Hated it!
J. O.
Love the kingsway shopping park. Great shops Great restaurant too
M. B.
It's a very busy place most of the time, but as we are getting nerer to Christmas it's hard, to find parking and queuing a lot.
A. W.
The retail park was ok. Shops are shops, however it took me 40 mins to get off the carpark. Could not see anything obvious what caused this!!!!
J.
easy place to get to if you're driving.
S. “.
Plenty of parking and a decent variety of retail outlets. Unfortunately Halfords had shut and relocated to its Wyvern store.
P. T.
Love going to kingsway shopping but I'm so fed up with the chance of being gridlocked once your down there and was the same today...dreading Christmas shopping down there even if you have ordered still going to be awful will they please get someone in traffic design to do something.
M. M.
Visited sainsburys. Thankfully managed to avoid the traffic getting back out
M. a.
Free parking and a good variety of shops
F. M.
I always go here, lots of good shops and a good sized parking lot as well, never been able to not find a space even in peak times.
Z.
A very nice little shopping experience with good parking
S. C.
Good sized retail park, often marred by poor parking layout and huge queues at peak time, just to get out. Food outlets added recently compliment the large retail stores. Smyth's, Hobbycraft, M&S, Curry's, Poundland, TK max, Pets at Home. Argos and Halfords have closed up, but Argos is now a Sainaburys across the other side of the site
H. G.
Good social distancing in the few stores I visited. Plenty of parking, the area at the back near Halfords seems to be unnoticed by many. Not too hard to get to and easy to get out of. Avoid at the busiest times on the roads for obvious reasons. Plenty of shops to go to though. You can easily lose an afternoon or morning here.
M. a.
Exellent really good tk maxx everything here you could want by way of shopping many different outlets big car park and good access both of us loved shopping here and bought lots well worth a visit ❤️
j. b.
Good retail park can be a pig to get out of only having one exit. Must avoid busy times at all cost.
m. b.
Has a decent range of shops in a small area.
D. M.
Retail park with one way in and out stationed near the worst traffic hotspot in derby. You may find yourself stuck there against your will eating Greg's for dinner.
Only a dozen large retailers. Typical Halford, sainsbury, pets at home, smyths, PC world, TKMax, marks & sparks, next and a (surprise, suprise) Sofa store.
S. A. B.
Called in for click and collect at homebase. Good layout to the retail park as sainsbury's and homebase are on the left with a sainsbury petrol station too. The other side of the park includes poundland, TK Maxx boots and Mark's and Spencer foodhall. Also Gregg's, subway and Costa coffee. Car park is well laid out with only one entrance and exit on each side. Plenty of waste bins too. Clearly marked zebra crossings throughout the car park especially good when shopping with children and wheelchairs. Good shopping venue.
d. j.
Great place for all your needs. Plenty of parking available.
A. B.
Easy to get to with not much traffic most of the time. Free parking too which is nice.
The only thing I would say is that it is in need of some public toilets. Atm you have to go into Costa, I always feel a bit guilty because I don't buy anything after I've been.
S. B.
Love going here for subway and smyths, easy to park at and everyone who works there is helpful and welcoming
K. J.
Lovely shopping trip great choice of shops
S. U.
Parking here can get very crazy to get in and out the retail park
J. R.
Parking can be a nightmare but the shops themselves are really good
S. H.
Good sales and delivery service and product excellent.
C.
Stores here are good but parking here is a nightmare sometimes, there's no child parking spaces and when you have a 3 year old and 8 month old, trying to get both children out aswell as a pushchair is very hard so tend to travel further so I don't have to deal with this issue.
D. Y.
An excellent business development, vast choice of retail, ample parking, safe environment, highly recommend
T. *.
Very easy to find lots of stores.
B. S.
Traffic can be a nightmare here especially after work. Be prepared to potentially be stuck for 30 minutes to a few hours. Parking aside, the area contains many nice stores to visit. Usually during the day I do not get stuck for more than 10 minutes in the parking lot around lunch.
A. B. E.
Plenty of parking and good number of stores. I visit pets at home store here, good size store and never missed what I was looking for.
S. H.
Really busy place with excellent parking and great shops, TKMAX is fabulous and M&S food is wonderful
A. G.
Great shops massive car park not to far from the hospital if you need anything for yourself of family members who may be in a&e
S. B.
Only visit if you really have to.Always crazy for parking, and a horrible bottle neck when exiting. It took someone I know 1.5 hours to get out when it was especially busy.Park at Sainsbury's and walk over.
E. B.
The car park is annoyingly layed out in a way that you are bound to get stuck if you are leaving between 330-430. However it is free parking so cant complain. A good variety of shops.
D. S.
Good for M&S but parking and traffic can be an issue
L. M.
I love Kingsway & all of the stores there. However the biggest problem is the parking being restricted to just 3 hours. With at least 11 large stores to wander around, 3 hour's is no where near enough, at least another hour needs adding to the time.
H. S.
Always a parking space available and all the shops in the area are very general and great for just a quick 2 - 3 hour shop. A bit of something for everyone and Gregg's is always a great stop for a bite to eat.
B. S.
Easy to get to and a good selection of shops
L. V.
Good shops but terrible car park. Badly laid out.
M. W.
The shops here are lovely, with plenty to see and plenty of parking, however, the entry and exit are rediculous and put many locals off! Locals are known to leave theirs cars and purchases behind, walk home and fetch their cars later when traffic is better! Don't even think of visiting these stores at Xmas or on Bank Holidays or you will seriously go insane and regret it!
K. H.
Car park is a joke to get out of at 5pm
J. G.
The store is very nice and. Clean.
N. F.
Very good selection of shops easy to park, but it is a nightmare to get out as it only has one road in/out. It gets blocked up at busier times and can take 2 hours to get out of the parking lot. They should be able to build another route into the retail park at the bottom roundabout, but I guess they just do not want to invest.
I. B.
Limited shops not the best
S. n.
Well maintained retail park however some baby and child spaces would be of great benefit to many users.
D. H.
Good options traffic can be a nightmare
S. G.
Good variety of stores. Gets hectic with parking.
J. C.
Sainsburys wasn't too crowded but some food stuffs were missing.. And not the same amount of choices...
k. s. p.
Roads and pavements needed clearing .Lot of old people go to m&s .Around m&s,was exclent.
Retal park owners needed to get there sweepers to clean roads for people to walk safely at least.
M. R.
Decent sized retail park with just a handful of retailers. Can get very busy so recommend going out of peak times.
n. t.
The shops and outlets are brilliant. 2 issues 1- only one way in one way out which is annoying to say the least when it's the festive season.
2- there are no toilets to my knowledge so parents are finding it difficult to when they bring their children.
D. E.
Plenty to pick up from poundland to tk maxx. Always available parking THATS FREE.. Good retail park...
C. B.
A great range of retail outlets!
A. C.
Lots of nice shops
J. B.
Parking can sometimes be a nightmare, it'd be great if there was another exit
N. W.
Gets very busy at peak times.
Plenty of shops for all tastes
D. M.
Never a moan from me
Whoever designed roundabout wants shooting though
C. G.
Great out of town shopping. Shops for everyone.
S. N.
Lots of parking spaces . Easy access in and put of retail park.
C. P.
Decent size shops with good parking
S. G.
It is a good retail park, but getting out the car park at peak times is a nightmare. So just go at a quieter time.
J. L.
Very popular retail with good selection of shops. Main issue is the traffic in and out of the retail park. Would be sensible if local council had another entry/exit point, perhaps down to the Kingsway Industrial estate or to Cheviot St / Slack Lane
J. W. P.
One road in and out. Plenty of parking places. Very large Sainsbury's and Homebase. Ring road gets full at certain times of the day.
W.
Not much open for browsing during lockdown 2.0, but the click and collect services multiple stores are offering are quick and easy to use.
C. S.
A great selection of shops with a car wash and a jet spray thing if u want to do it yourself. They even have a hoover so u can hoover your car! All that and more!! Air and water is free but I'm not sure about the prices on other stuff.
J. R.
Quick shop to next and M&S no problems , no ppl begging for once outside shops which was good but probably down to bad weather . No problems leaving area traffic OK , just place could do with a good tidy up as in litter and dumped rubbish ect: kid's bike and shoes in with rubbish! 😕😡
K. J.
Can't fault the shops but getting in and out is always an issue due to traffic.
M. D.
Spot of shopping enjoyed here which wasn't over crowded. Lovely TK Maxx here with Home Sense in one store. Definitely come again
E. M.
Now the traffic lights are off I've started happily coming back to the Kingsway retail park for my shopping again. I have been going to Nottingham for hobby craft as it had got to the point where it was quicker & much less stressful to drive to Nottingham as I got fed up of being stuck in traffic, once I was stuck with my 5 kids in the car for FIVE hours at Kingsway
D. T.
Good selection of stores, getting in and out of the car park is a nightmare when it's busy, the traffic system is poor. It would be better if there was an exit near to the next store, that way incoming and outgoing traffic does not need to cross
R.
Needs a bigger car park... the place has out grown the current car park and you often end up driving round and round the car park in peak times. Also simply not enough child places to park and spaces are far too small for today's bigger cars
S. H.
Lots of parking if you are lucky. Loads of traffic on approach roads and exit roads. Prepare to be held up for 30 minutes in rush hour
N. C.
I use this TK maxx and other stores on the retail park frequently however I feel the 3 hour parking limit is fairly strict if you want to have a meal or a coffee at Costa (which I like to relax with and take time talking to my friend) then do a good day's shopping after.
P.
Plenty off shops. Good for car parking get 3 hrs free parking plenty off time. Would be good if had toilets in area saves leaving earley..
J. J.
Great shopping but the road layout is ridiculous. Took me 1 1/2 hours to get out in December I haven't been back since. They need to build a new relief road for exit as it's a log jam.
S. H.
Didn't like it, only went for scs to get a sofa. Very busy but people were bumping into you or pushing past. Parking plenty of it but take it steadily as the day we went people driving like nutty folks.
j.
Don't go unless you have an hour minimum to kill. Decent selection of shops although it takes 30minutes to enter the carpark unless you're on foot and if you're on foot, prepare to play the best game of chicken ever
H. T.
You have to be aware of peak travelling times as it's sometimes difficult to get into the retail park, particularly if on a tight timescale. New parking regime in place. Good selection of shops.
R. P.
Good shops but hate the traffic
M. S.
Convenient place to shop. Quite a good variety of options. Just be aware that maximum 3 hours parking stay.
E. F.
I visited hobby craft and found everything I needed plus some wool on sale. They have an excellent selection of wool and I will buy from there again. They also have a lift which enabled me to take my husband to the first floor in his wheelchair.
I then went to m and s food hall and was able to get a varied selection of gluten free products and meals.
P. H.
Only one way in and out if retail park. Heavy traffic not good for a quick visit. However the shops are varied with most things you could need catered for. Just don't go at peak times!
Z. T.
Most people adhered to wearing their masks and were mindful of social distancing..... However some people have no idea and they weren't wearing masks and were wandering around as if covid had never happened, with no respect for others. They may well have a health issue that exempts them from wearing a mask, but their appearance as a couple, in from a run, begs to differ that idea though and more likely they don't think the rules apply to them, equally though, no one challenged it.....
M.
They have rabbits and other sweet animals in the pet shop there (I always go to see them, while my Mrs is waisting her time and money in tk max). Unfortunately basic driving skills are not a common thing for visitors, so there's always a traffic jam during the weekends.
B. t. S.
There's a TK Maxx.. the only reason to come here for me.
There are plenty of other stores, fast food and parking is free. Don't know the max stay, but I hate shopping so if I'm here an hour it's too long anyway.
C. J.
Good range of shops, parking can be problematic at busy times and sometimes you'll need to queue up to get in. The parking bays are generally a reasonable size and you can access the entire site without needing to go up or down steps
C. C.
Good retail park. Main shops: Sainsbury's, Currys, Greggs, Timpson, Costa, Argos, Smith's Toys, Halford, M&S (Food only). Ample car park although can be very busy on week ends.
J. R.
A great place to shop..but parking is appalling..
D. (. D.
Not great access for getting on and off the site with car. Lots of parking in the underground section. No trolley bays, had to take the IKEA trolley all the way back to the store from the other side of the retail park.
A. W.
Dispite the large number of excellent shopping opportunity's, on this retail park, the carparking on this facility is far from ideal. There is only one entry and exit point from the carpark which can take upwards of
15 to 20 minutes to achieve.
P. F.
Loads of parking, bigish handy sainburys with petrol station and car wash. Next, Mark's, boots and Halfords, plus Tkmaxx, what else is there?
R. S. C.
Very conveniently located and good range of shops, but since there is only a single exit road from the car park area the traffic simply clogs up and you can be easily stuck for long.
A. K.
Smyths have discounted LOL Surprise Winter Chill and OOTD, so could use the savings to get stocking fillers. Open until 10pm.
Marks and Spencer Food Hall also open late.
n. 1.
Good selection of shops. Greegs, subway, and costa available after a shop too. Car park can get really busy at the weekend but it's free so can't complain.
l. g.
Only one narrow road in and out which needs rectifying but a great retail park. Tkmax is a great size and the added bonus of a fairly large Poundland and more has made it busier. Use it regularly still
D. “. D.
😁
R. B.
Good range of shops with Sainsburys, Currys, Argos, M&S food and Halfords, SCS and others. Access can be fustrating as there's nearly always a high level of traffic. Can be hard to find parking spaces at the busiest of times.
R. H.
Plenty of option for shops, with tk maxx, next and a pound shop very convenient with a Sainsbury's by there too. Food too
N. D.
Good selection of shops and food and drink outlets big car park. It always seems to be busy so it can be a hassle getting in and out as there is only one road on and one road out which is usually backed up with traffic.
G. C. S.
Busy as ever, car park is pretty poorly laid out so it's always hard work but normally easy enough to find a space and plenty of shops to look around
D. O.
Don't go at the wrong time, took us 2 hours 15mins to get out of carpark! My wife nearerly finished the bottle of wine we'd bought from M&S while waiting,!
S. C.
Good selection of shops however I've been stuck in the car park on 2 occasions when it was particularly busy. Car queueing across my parking space and not moving for over 10 minutes.
M. i. a. C.
Lots of variety of shops, we often go to Smyths, Argos, Sainsburys and Hobbycraft. However, this is only a fraction of what is there, including Halfords, TK Maxx, Next, Marks and Spencer... Parking is usually OK, despite the bad press it gets. Its been better since they put the 3 hour limit on there and you may draw your own conclusions about that. Early morning and late afternoon are usually best. Access to and from the site can be slow but again that's not the case all the time.
J. M.
Great place to shop, has everything you need without the hustle and bustle of the city centre. It's also home to the best Halfords in Derby.
j. b.
A few worthwhile shops at Kingsway, plenty of parking, there's Costa to grab a drink and a pub further up which has a children's play area
Only downside to Kingsway retail park is how busy the traffic can be driving in and out
P. D.
Love all the shops!! Reminds me of home. Found everything I need in one place.
I. K.
The retail offering is actually quite good, this is badly let down by the lack of another access road. Only one two-way road to go in AND out, took me over 30 minutes in the queue to leave this morning. And to think this is actually very quick! At peak times it can take 60+ minutes
C. L.
Excellent selection of shops. Free parking. Even has a Gregg's
D. W.
Has a good range of shops! With a Sainsburys supermarket, Homebase, timpsons, Argos ,TK Maxx, Pets at home, hobby craft, smiths toys, Halfords, furniture store, M&S, Poundland, Next and currys-pc world. It also has a Costa, Greg's and subway. There is a also a caff in Sainsburys and public toilets between Sainsburys and Homebase. Plenty of parking and disabled parking. On the side with Sainsbury and Homebase there are also parent and child parking. Its a lovely retail park I have never in my 3 years of going never not be able to get a parking space, always been able to park ok no matter the day or time.
A. M.
Good shops but sometimes difficult to get out of the car park due to queueing traffic.
D. W.
Good retail park with many stores to choose from. TK Maxx,Boots,Next, Argos,Smyths Toys Pets at home, Costa Coffee, Currys PC World, SCS, Hobby Craft Poundland to name a few. Something for everyone. Parking not so good tight parking spaces and only one way in and out of a very busy retail park so can be congested.
A.
Its alright but the parking ruins it, really poorly laid out and you have to queue to leave everytime, no matter the time of day. Totally avoid during the festive season, its a nightmare!
D. K.
Once you're in you may never leave. Plan for an overnight stay with blankets and plenty of food and water if going on a weekend or around Christmas time. Great stores but a flawed traffic system.
K. E.
Easy to get in an out as well sign posted , good choice of shops, just beware of idiot drivers really , usually driving the wrong way down a one way road
S. O.
Good retail park handy for smyths tk maxx next and boots but the parking can be a pain it gets very busy on route to the retail park which puts me off if I have my little children with me
E. C.
Good selection of shops but a nightmare to get in and out on busy days ,needs another exit
R. S.
Picked up some bits for patchwork project... inquired as to why I hadn't received any vouchers since buying my sewing machines months ago turns out they had spelt my name wrong on my email address. Fingers crossed I still get the vouchers emailed through :)
R. S.
It was easy to use and straightforward shopping
A. M.
Busy traffic, only one entry and exit which can make the traffic build very quickly and cause a back log of cars waiting to leave the retail park. Good selection of shops lots to do on the retail park
C. E.
Nice out of town shopping but could benefit from increased parking
N. W.
Gets very busy at peak times.
Plenty of shops for all tastes
N. M.
Directions into and out of parking is sell explanatory. Free parking for lots of facilities including Sainsbury's, hobby craft, large TK Maxx with Costa, subway, M&S. A good day out for everyone in the family.
R. M.
It is great place to go for shopping, because retail park has different types of outlets such clothing, toys, food etc. There only thing puts me off to go to this place is traffic. Once it took me one hour and the half to get out of this place. Trying to avoid this place in peak times!
S. _.
Love this shopping centre. It has plenty of shops to chose from. Only a couple of food places, but not too bad. The next is good for adult clothes, never really shopped in m&s food. Poundland had pep&co with it, there's a boots, smyths, hobby craft, pets at home, Argos, tk Maxx, and a few more.
A. K.
Although I found what I was looking for, pavements here are not suitable for wheel chair users, most on slopes, unless your being pushed ,its really hard, however for those who can manage, shops all in one place ,apart from sainsburys, which is across the road, and I never made it,
If you dont want to walk, then its ideal here, retail, pets, coffee,
Food,and a few other
E. A.
Great shops but shame getting in and out of kingsway can be such a nightmare, especially at this time of year. Be warned if you come by car at a busy time!! You will be queue for a long time
R. H.
Good choice if shops. Car parking is a but of a nightmare - getting to a space and then finding the exit! Queues often huge to get out at moderately busy shoppy periods.
C. M.
Good selection of shops if you don't want to go into the city centre. Free parking and a couple of eateries. Can get congested on a Saturday unless you get there first thing.
M. R.
Good selection of shops and plenty free parking.
D. J.
Really like this retail park - really clean with a good variety of shops. Big downfall is there's on one entrance/ exit so you can queue for well over an hour to get out.
W. H.
Some nice shops, it gets very busy leading up to Christmas and there are occasions when the car park gets gridlocked and customers have been stuck for a couple of hours, I won't return this side of Christmas
S. J.
Great retail park, has everything you need
A. B.
Usually okay to visit for a bit of regular shopping but weekends and Christmas can be a nightmare with traffic in the area
T. B.
Convenient retail park to access from many areas. All stores appeared to be complying with current regulations. Busy Saturday. Access and exit by only one road.
D. E.
Plenty to pick up from poundland to tk maxx. Always available parking THATS FREE.. Good retail park...
L. B.
Its ok if its quiet but jesus christ if its busy its gonna take you 2hrs to out from kingsway
J. S.
Great shops but traffic always very heavy in the vacinity
T. H.
Getting out of the car park can be absolutely ludicrous at time's. Shop's are ok. All that money spent on many multiple traffic lights was outrageous and all for nothing!
H. J.
It's a standard retail park on a small scale parking is pretty good but access or more to the point leaving can be a bit of an issue as it's a bottleneck onto a main road. Usual stores Costa, Gregg's, TK Maxx, poundland, Halfwords, hobby craft etc.
G. W.
Car park is tight and always very busy. Some great stores though. Great for Christmas shopping as it's all in one place.
E. C.
Getting in and out the park is going to be a nightmare for xmas. As previously reported in media.shops good selection of goods.and various food /drink outlets worth a visit ample parking .
T.
Nice selection of shops. I will only go at off peak times as parking is a nightmare any other times. Not well thought out!
r. r.
Lots of choice easy parking and well located but beware do not go anywhere near this park at peak times it will take up to 2 hours to get out of the car park
T. L. (.
Avoid at Christmas unless you want to be stuck in the car park for long periods! Ingress and egress could be improved. Good selection of shops.
2. D.
A very convenient shopping centre and the sainsbury filling station is handy to fuel up.
There are a number of shops here like TK Max, Argos, Next, Halfords, M&S food, PC World, Harvey's, pet world and Sainsbury.
C. f.
Very busy place
Difficult to get out once you are in the carpark at peak times
D. M.
Excellent choice of quality shops
C. M. (.
Good little centre, best to park at the back near TK max and walk to the other shops it gets busy near MandS and PEPCO
L. S.
Easy access loads of parking a good choice of shops .
E. C. V.
Cant rate it higher as next to nothing open due to lockdown but otherwise an ok variety of shops with 3 eating places.
R. M.
Parking is pretty horrendous but it's clean and well kept
D. T.
Great shops, everything you need in one place .
K. T.
Lots of choice of stores. Ranging from Poundland,M&S to pets at home and boots. Also has a Sainsbury superstore an Currys pc world. Costa coffee, subway and greggs. And a large Halfords with a fitting bay. Plenty of parking including disabled. All stores have wheelchair access also. An all round retail park that you will soon find yourself becoming a regular customer at.
B. B.
Great choice of retail park with a wide variety shops. Only one way in and out, for the best experience avoid the peak times.
A. W.
Good shops, terrible parking. Not enough spaces, allow an extra half an hour to get off the car park when it's busy.
A. D.
Great selection of stores that suit the whole family. Parking is easy but getting off the site at busy times can be a hassle.
H. J.
Not a bad little place to nip for a ponder around. Can get stupid busy there with parking and getting out car park. Christmas season is horrendous to go there. Be prepared to wait a good half hour to get out of the car park.
L. O. (. J.
Empty units and queuing to get onto or away from the park at busy times. Avoid if you have limited time to spend there
L. L.
Decent variety of shops but avoid during peak times as the traffic is awful due to the car park being a one way system that exits onto a busy roundabout / road
H. G.
It's nice and has almost everything in there. Today was quite busy and was difficult to find parking. People (drivers) seemed to be very impatient today
M. O.
Great shopping experience lots of decent shops..can get busy on the way out as a single exit point but not a big problem
T. G.
The shops are good. The car park is a nightmare to get out of at certain times. It's not uncommon to be stuck for up to an hour.
A. G.
Love doing my shopping there I'm there most weeks.....clean and tidy
D. C.
Always good. Costa, Smyth's toy stall, pets at home, TKMax Sainsbury's and much more. Worth a visit. Traffic can be a problem especially when leaving.
S. l.
This place has good selection of out of town stores, but accessibility off this site is horrendous and its therefore not a place to visit at peak times unless you like sitting in your car for an extensive period post shopping
M. C.
variety of shops, places to stop for food and drink. can't go wrong
f. b.
Good selection for technology, kids things like toys paddling pools, car repair and sat nav, furniture store, boots for make up etc. But parking can be a absolute ball ache in busy times
D. H.
It offers a good range of shops, it falls down because of the weight of the traffic, both going in and coming out. But that's a problem all around Derby. On the whole, it's worth sitting in the traffic to get there.
L. J. L. D. C. I.
Only popped in for a drink with a friend. Love the newly refurbished surroundings, very bright and airy, staff friendly as per usual, hopefully be back for a meal and live entertainment too.
L. H.
Fantastic retail park. Convenient to have so many different shops all in one location. Massive car park that is also free!
a. b.
Great place to shop, loses a star due to car park only having one entrance and exit which causes a long wait toexit at most busy time
L. S.
It's always difficult to access the park, especially with cars trying to escape from Currys
The other bottle neck is the Sainsbury's roundabout.
The work at the entrance with the traffic lights should alleviate some of these issues
Lots of retail outlets including Poundland, M&S food, TK Maxx along with carpet and furniture shops
L. W.
Great out of town shopping. Mix of retail outlets. Very poor parking layout. Can take a long time to get in or out at busy times.
K. C.
Always busy and good shops although sometimes a pain getting out the car parks
C. H.
Plenty of shops to choose from. The only reason for a reduction in one star is that it is a nightmare to get in and out of.
V. C.
My only gripe is the terrible parking system.
D. M.
Never a moan from me
Whoever designed roundabout wants shooting though
S. N.
Lots of parking spaces . Easy access in and put of retail park.
J. G.
Always my go to place, free parking xx not too busy neither x
A.
So many shops including boots, poundland, pets at home and there all in different categories
S. A.
Went shopping great choice of shops amazing amount of parking
a. y.
Plenty of spaces could do with some children's spaces though but it's great having everything you need in close proximity to each other.
C. P.
Decent size shops with good parking
J. R.
Great shops on this park. Could easily spend a good half a day here.
J. S.
Getting in was ok but the traffic getting out was horrendous but shopping was easy no problems
A. P.
It would have got a 5 if the parking and exits were better but other than that good shop choices and generally clean and maintained
J. H.
Way, way too congested. Car parks inadequate for the number of units and shops seem depleted of many goods whenever I visit.
e. m.
Excellent shopping zone well planned out.. Shame about the scare mongering about parking "fines" after extended stay... These bullies will not stop me from shopping there.. 👍
T. Z.
Great place for shopping, massive carpark and hot food perfect for long hours sessions however not every shop have a customer toilet what cousing problems for family with kids.
L. C.
Good place to shop, but can take time getting out carpark in rush hour
R. G.
Great place lots of variety of shops, looks well maintained.
A. B.
Everything you could need but parking can be a pain, as can pedestrians who suddenly appear out of nowhere
2. g.
Plenty of shops and eateries parking is ample with a 3 hour maximum stay try to avoid peak times especially rush hour as getting in and out of the park with only one entrance can be a nightmare
j. m.
Good selection of shops and eating places. But congestion needs sorting as at peak times it can take a long time to exit the car parks
s. n.
Good place for quick shoping. Busy all the time and traffic is terrible don't bother going there between 15:30 and 17:30.
a. b.
Love to do shopping in T K Max lot of stuff to buy for home decoration and clothing.
N. D.
Some good shops here and the usual coffee shop and food outlets but one thing lets it down. The access to it, the traffic can be aweful at busy times
A. C.
Lots of nice shops
P. J.
Good selection of shops but take care getting in and out as very often busy. Don't go peak times
M. R.
A few shops closed down but still plenty of varied shops plenty to look around
f. g.
It's a good shopping area plenty of different shops the only thing it could do with a bit bigger car park
V. M.
A decent array of shops but small car parking slots and difficult to navigate. A crossing needed between site & nearby Sainsbury's!
A. W.
Worrying signs when there is security on every shop including Smith's toy store
J. G.
Good range of shops. Very busy at peak times.. Watch out for parking restrictions.
S. T.
Great place to shop.lots of household names from Poundland to Currys pc world.costa and subway to relax and take a break.
c. f.
Lots of shops including Argos, Tkmaxx, Next, M&S food, Sainsbury’s, Costa and more. Plenty of free parking.
J. K.
Main purpose of my visit was TKmaxx, which was great. Plent of other stores to chose from for furniture, bedding and electrical goods. Also a large Argos store.
j. h.
Nice for a small shopping place. Tk Max, Next, Argos, Pets at home, Boots ect.. only got a M & S food shop though, could have done with a clothes department.
G. S.
Lots of usual retail park stores (argos, hobby craft, curry's, etc). Split by a road to Sainsbury's and homebase on one side.
Traffic is usually hopeless and has confusing route round car park on the argos side.
No safe route for pedestrians from argos side to Sainsbury's side.
A. O.
Good selection of shops, plenty of car parking spaces.
J. M.
Good selection of shops, but the parking exit is inadequate and can lead to you being stuck in traffic for up to an hour in rush hour.
A. P.
It will be good again once it is all fully open but it was great today having a Subway take out for lunch
J. S.
Great place to shop
A. S.
Got most shops and a supermarket too.
W. T.
Lack of wide bays meant 10min wait for a disabled slot. Then had to go in road to get to a drop kerb.
A. M.
Always can manage to find car parking space and it's easy to get to and theres a bit of everything
K. M.
A well appointed, easy to find Retail park that boasts a good selection of shops, a couple of places to eat & plenty of parking.
T. B.
Good selection of shops and places to eat for lunch
J. R.
A good outlet but parking can be an issue. During peak times there is a long queue to get in and out
P. M. W.
Good range of shops but avoid peak times as there is only one route in and out.
H. I.
Good variety of shops but limited parking for weekend and easy to go on and out is very small so always a que on weekends
T. B.
Really good variety of stores!...including the best halfords I have ever been in!!....unfortunately at peak times it can be a pain trying to leave or enter the retail park!
G. K.

Good shops but driving in and out the retail park is a joke because no thought has gone into the roads
L. S.
Brilliant place for toys, craft hobbies, clothes, electrical goods and too grab a bite to eat and drink, this retail park also has free parking.
k. m.
No small baskets in the shops. Grab one from the outside.
P. F.
Could do with a better choice of shops but parking is free so not a bad destination
F.
Always busy as heck, the traffic is a nightmare. Nevertheless, good shops. Boots, pound shop, tk maxx, sainsburys, greggs, costa, etc.
U. R.
Nice place tk max is good one here
L. V.
Shops are great but parking can be a challenge sometimes
Z. C.
Enjoy the afternoon shopping. Loads of places to go and you can grab a coffee on the go.
M. F.
Great place for purchasing large items by car.
M. S.
The car park wasn't full, but as the layout is badly designed the access in and out was horrendous.
L.
Terrible car park layout
I. W.
Loads of great shops
I. B.

J. G.
Obviously quiet but the shops that are open are are practicing good safety precautions!
D. W.
Good facilities, not had any negative experiences there so far but if there was a slight niggle it can get busy to drive through on occasions.
A. S.
Nice enough set of shops, but they really need to sort out the traffic issues at busy times.
E. H.
Only problem is getting out of the park when it's busy. Only one entrance and exit so on busy days can be queuing for a very long time to leave.
A. G.
Lots of good shops disabled parking and toilets and excess
J. T.
Being from Nottingham I always come over to kingsway as its a loads better retail park than my closest one.
C. S.
Car park full as always. Quite a few items bought in Marks and Spencer food Hall. T K Max and Smyths toy shop

Good amount of choice of shops. But be mindful of the times you visit as traffic can be strong.

Brilliant variety of shops and places to go for coffee etc. Can do all your shopping here weather it be groceries, pet supplies etc.
L. j.
Visited Hobbycraft and Boots. Went early, easy parking.
L. C.
Picked up an order from boots, managed to get a space nearby even tho it was already busy. Nice quick visit.
K. T.
Exactly like the old Toys r us! Plenty of choice. Lots of items on sale and staff friendly and helpful
C. S.
Reasonable stores, but exit from car parks can get gridlocked for extended periods. As a consequence I avoid the place.
A. H.
Managed to get what we wanted AND free delivery ....
P. B.
This place is pretty huge. Its spread out a little too much but there is plenty of parking and quite a few shops.
Is come here again.
