Reviews of St James Quarter
R. B.
St James quarter is one of the best things to happen to Edinburgh. The variety of high class shops and restaurants gives a good reason for actually visiting Edinburgh. The space is huge and although it's busy it never feels crowded. Every type of cuisine is available for every taste. The rooftop is beautiful and quiet it also gives nice views of Edinburgh.

It is a big improvement of the previous monstrosity that was there before this shopping centre. It has plenty parking. Unfortunately, it's not a big eye-catcher I have seen far more inviting Mall, the shops are like most other places. Shame they do not spend money on Edinburgh princes Street. It is a big let down for the city, I cant think of another city that has the castle and gardens on their main street it's a magical back drop.

Huge shopping mall right in the centre of Edinburgh; well-adorned at Xmas time. Excellent meeting place with lots of high street shops, pharmacy and coffee shops, fashion boutiques and food outlets on any taste as well as Bank of Scotland, smartphones and other services for your convenience to use here. Quality time guaranteed.
A. W.
First visit to St James Quarter, I have to say we were very impressed with the build and the space that it offered. Plenty good quality shops mixed with a few old favourites included. The Walnut well...I haven't made my mind up yet.....lol
L. K.
This place is AMAZING. The food is delicious and the staff are fantastic. Everyone is happy, hard working and mega polite. The atmosphere is fantastic. I just LOVE it here. The Chefs are so focused on their tasks it is a real pleasure to just watch them. Please visit and tell all your friends about this place. ❤️

Lovely new centre in Edinburgh.. lots of shops cafes restaurants and cinema Everyday it's called .. so different..You can have a single seat or a 2 seater.. order drinks snacks food at the bar as you go in and it's brought to your seat ..enjoyed my experience there .. you can take the lift or walk up the stairs.. 😊 …
S. P.
Strategically located, good selection of shops, best thing ever - there is a new addition to it, Harrods Beauty, freshly opened a month ago! The Champagne Bar is insane, give it a try! 💖🥂 …

Such a transformation from the old St James, it’s absolutely beautiful! I come here at least once a week, so many great shops and places to eat all in one location.
J. G.
The brand new shopping centre in Edinburgh. Quite a maze that takes some exploring to get to grips with. Good facilities and some wonderful food and drink options, as well as a huge John Lewis.
Since opening, the area seems to be thriving, the only concern is how retail in the rest of Edinburgh now steps up to compete.
Great place to go potter around on a rainy day as the main mall is bright and airy, but covered. Check out the entrance towards Leith Walk for a few street food and coffee hut options.
M. T.
Was in Edinburgh for vacation few weeks back... Was here at the John Lewis department store to get some souvenirs and realised that the department store actually exits out to a huge shopping mall which is St James Quarter. Settled our dinner there at their food court, surprised to see this concept here in Edinburgh. Being from Singapore where we have the hawker and food culture, I am thankful for that and the various cuisine that we can choose from.
M. M.
The food court upstairs is fantastic. There's something for everyone, from fresh fish and cocktails to Sri Lankan cuisine or pizza, take your pick of top quality dishes at reasonable prices. There's plenty of seating in a nice atmosphere, all good prepared to order and there's gelato for after! Whether it's lunch, dinner or a date, this place would be a good choice 👌
S. I.
Not visited before. Beautiful floral exhibition of inspirational women on - fascinating watching them being created.
Light airy centre. Great street food on tip floor.
M. S.
A new Shopping Center in the heart of the city with all the usual brands... Almost all time crowned with teenager... The architecture are very nice... And at weekends, there is a live DJ's...
B. G. S.
Loved the visit! Great for shopping or just spending some nice time… you shouldn’t miss the new mall
C. P.
Large new shopping centre in Edinburgh on various floors, with typical food hall area on lower ground floor. Good range of shops that'll pull customers from traditional shopping on George Street and Princes Street.
Y. S. M.
Huge shopping mall with lots of shops and food joints. Many brands are available here. John Lewis is also located here in many floors. Lot of space to sit and relax. Good for a visit if in Edinburgh.
N. A.
Huge mall that I enjoyed very much. When I visited there was a beautiful floral exhibition of inspirational women on which absolutely beautiful.
S. A. N.
Bright and airy, surely will become a popular shoppers' playground once all spaces have been occupied and opened. Digital map still not complete with shops on site. Level 5 & 6 soon to open. Toilet facilities are nice. Convenient for the train station and underground car parking across the street.
Z. S.
We go here fairly regularly- when I say "we" I mean me and my dog as the centre is dog friendly!
It's wide and spacious and although covered is nice and airy - so you can breathe after being in the hot shops but not get wet.
There are stairs, elevators and escalators to try and suit different mobility levels.
Not all the shops are dog friendly but most are and provide water bowls, pets and biscuits which my dog obviously loves.
Our favourite shop is the lego shop, if you pick your time it can be fairly empty so you can get a good look at things, the staff are helpful and friendly and so good with dogs.
Nice mix of shops and resteraunts/bar/cafes.
I think the only slight downside is most of the shops are pretty pricey but that's a very subjective thing amd not the fault of the centre itself.
A. B.
It's nice to finally have a revamped shopping place in Edinburgh. Like the various options available at St James quarter. Still feel the parking prices are crazy especially for disabled blue badge holders. A concession should be thought by management for parking in disabled slots.
H. X.
Has everyone of my favourite shops and restaurants all in the one place! There’s so many options here and you can spend all day without walking around the whole of Edinburgh.

Our first visit to St James Quarter we had heard people moaning a bit about it . But we loved it the space ease of access great shops on all levels loved it. Special mention Lane 7 Bar has bowling allays pool live music and more. It is well worth a visit food available on top floor and lower ground. Access to john Lewis on all levels. Great views to leith and beyond..lots of benches and seats to people watch if u fancy. It has a large boots shop on ground level.
G. W.
The new St James Centre is open and very modern. There are plenty of shops on multiple levels. (this review has a picture of the shops at open at the time of visit.) There are multiple ways into the centre. There is also fantastic air conditioning that kept the centre cool on the warm day I visited. Also has a great select of restaurants and plenty of seating.
At the time of writing this, some of the shops have yet to open and there is still some construction work ongoing.
L. B.
Lovely place, clean, spacious, lots of shops but why are the eating places taking so long to open ?
K. S.
New shopping area that at the time of visiting was still being finished. Short walk from the station, Google struggles a bit with specific shops at the moment as it's mostly inside but it will get you to the area.
We went for a drink and bowling at Lane 7. Plenty to do there including crazy golf and pool too. You could definitely drag the kids out here and get your shopping done with a fun finish to the day to keep them from moaning too much.
Good range of shops and eateries and felt very open and spacious. Could do with some more indoor greenery though!
A. A.
Good not large mall but nice and contain many brands shops
h.
Brilliant shopping centre! Lovely high end place to shop, classier than princes st for example. LOVE the fact my dog is allowed inside so perfect for rainy days in the city! Great choice of designer shops! Plenty of places to sit down and lots of food choices too. This is how all shopping centres should be!
J. K. K.
I love this place. Spending money a lot.. I can’t visit frequently. Compared to prince street shopping malls, way better. Clean and quiet.
S. n.
Although some may question the outside, inside is a very accessible shopping complex with restaurants, toy stores, clothing stores, jewelries and more. With more stores to be opened and a movie theater at the top, this is a very grand shopping experience with views of the surrounding city.
A. S.
It's so great that at least this area of Edinburgh is finished (almost)! I thought the shops would have been a bit more upmarket but there are still units to be filled so we'll see. It's nice to walk around in a street situation but under cover. The loos are amazing, Dyson taps that also dry your hands, fabulous! Definitely worth a visit and it is a great addition to Edinburgh's retail environment.
G. D.
Lots of very good shops, restaurants and bars. What is noticeable is how friendly and well trained the staff are, especially in the Lego store, Other Stories and Maki and Ramen. My last visit was to watch a fashion show in Carpark B3, put on by the fashion students of Edinburgh University 😀 …
I. P.
Great shopping mall and I was happy today that I could visit it. Its normal that it is very crowded because of that the opening is just actual. The shops are good and it seem to be that you can find everything in kind of clothes. What I dont understand Is that there is only one coffee place and just a bit restaurants on the first floor. Its also strange that alot shopping malls in different countries have always one floor for food and the rest for clothing. I could not find it here to be honest.
n.
It's new, it's open and it's amazing! Some say it was too expensive, but it looks modern and has all the usual chain shops to cater for the growing city that is Edinburgh. It can get busy during peak times but the open area in the middle os quite spacious. Overall, I think it is a great addition to the city and it will welcome many locals and tourists alike.
S. N.
Formley known as StJames Centre ,St James Quarter is a god send , there's alot of new shops and more choices for shoppers to pruse. Give yourself a full day to get around as it's massive, you will certainly find what your after in this new and improved shopping centre.
b. b.
The newly opened Edinburgh Landmark Is state of the art shopping center! Amazing space, sitouts, the stunning views, the Lion statues..just majestic!
Loved everybit..even the washrooms were so beautiful!
If you visit, the Sea view from the second level is a must do. The views were really stunning.
W. A.
Amazing place to vist and enjoy the day shopping, food, boots pharmacy and more shopping all under one roof everything is absolutely lovely and modren. Excellent customer service I can spend a all day in there and end with a lovely movie with new experiences of Everyman cinema totally new to Edinburgh.
A. L.
Dog friendly thoroughfare, lots of shops, eateries, cinema etc. Worth a visit.
M. M.
Large very modern shopping centre. Good navigation points set up on each level. Multiple places to eat and drink. Most of the Premier retail names choose to have shop front here. Highlight for me and the boys is the lego shop followed by five guys. There is a bowling alley on the top deck with plenty or retro arcade games also. Bank branch also available on site.
E. S.
Loved it from the gentleman who guided us into the car park, to the gentleman who directed us upstairs 😀, lots of interesting shops and the food area was great, loved the Princess Street entrance could sit there all day, loved the lifts all good …
M. K.
Lovely nature haven in the heart of Edinbrugh. It has a coffeshop inside where you can enjoy your drink in nature
K. R.
I am old enough for this to be my 4th experience of St James upgrade. This is the best. The Center is spacious and airy, set over 4 levels there are great shops on to choose from. Clothing, department stores, toys. Something for everyone. There are great food options available too. On the upper floors is a Cinema and a bowling venue. Literally something for.everyone.
J. P.
Was most impressed with the class of shops within the St James Quarter. There are some big named shops. Highly Recommend a visit. Plenty of places to have a meal when visiting. I did not visit the higher floors but I will be back to visit them. Toilets on all levels, able and disabled.
.
A. M. H.
My new favourite place to visit. I love the new food hall, the drinks and juices stalls and all the amazing shops. There's also a cinema and bowling alley on the top floor. A perfect indoor place to visit when it's raining outside 🙂 …
D. R.
Nice shopping mall, centric with large variety of retailers and food options, even a #lego shop for the children
K. P.
This shopping centre is modern with lots of good shops and some very upmarket shops also. This is a good selection of eatery places and we parked in the multistorey with ease. The car park has changed a bit since it was the old St James centre. Parking is quite expensive however it is Edinburgh City centre so you would expect that. Its actually nice just to have a walk through.
K. M.
The new centre is looking good although a lot of shops are yet to open. The shops are all a bit pricy, you won’t find Poundland here! There is a John Lewis though which is awesome. Great views over the city to the Forth and there are some amazing street food vendors outside the entrance that leads onto the top of Leith walk. I had some lovely Churros and you could also get Mac and cheese or coffee. It would have been 3 stars if it wasn’t for them. They have had some issues with flooding already but to be fair it’s still under construction so there will be teething issues. I’ll be back to update the review when it’s all complete.
C. P.
Just another regular mall. Coming from a city life in Singapore, malls like this are in abundance here so am not too impressed. It is a welcome sight in Edinburgh though as they practice having shopping stalls by the sides of buildings so having an whole shopping mall building is quite unique and also means providing more parking space in a very popular area. My family parked there just to get to Princes street for the Christmas markets.
W. P. D. S.
Great shopping center full of existing stuff to see .. great food quarters and if you are luck can enjoy live music
M. J.
I used to shop in the old St James Centre and it wasn't the best but it was fine, when I first visited here after it was rebuilt I was a bit confused because while it looked lovely, I only recognised the names of like 3 shops 😂 and almost every store in there is crazy expensive! Definitely not the same place I used to hang out and go shopping in with my friends when I was a teen, I doubt I could afford anything in there even now. It's nice enough but on the day I went with a friend it happened to be quite windy outside and the structure of the building meant walking around inside the centre with a piercing cold wind blowing you about a very second. Then we went to the Alchemist for dinner and again, because of how the building is laid out- basically open at each end- every time someone opened the door this freezing wind would sweep in. Not great having to put your coat and scarf back on in the middle of dinner!
C. S.
Really impressive shopping precinct. It's outdoors so wrap up.
S. S.
Not a fan of shopping malls but it's practical and variety is good. We went to indoor mini golf which was fun. Shops blasting heating out on the streets though through open doors not so impressed from an energy and environmental standpoint. Also roof is leaky when it rains.
J. W.
Very large shopping mall with plenty of good shopping available, top floor has a nice eating area with different varieties of food available
A. Y.
One of the newest malls in Edinburgh, great design and layout, the inside outside design is wonderful, you always get fresh air like you’re walking outdoors but you’re not getting wet if it rains 😅
Views of the city are wonderful, restaurants are great. Overall a great experience.
J. F.
Nice shopping centre with good views.
S. M.
The 5 stars are for John Lewis ,its an impressive store ,however the five stars couldn't be allocated without the staff.
I was wandering around unsure , within a couple of.minutes I was approached by staff, was very politely asked how they could help, in following the guidance given was able to conduct my shopping.
First class and will definitely be back.
Thank you John Lewis
N. B.
Lovely new shopping centre. Well maintained with a great John Lewis attached. The shopping centre has all the things you would expect from a modern shopping centre including Boots a John Lewis and most importantly a Lego shop!!
l. p.
Great! Lots of luxury brand stores and good dining options.
H. M.
Clean and tidy shopping center. Dog friendly, and good selection of shops and restaurants!
S. M.
A nice addition to the centre of Edinburgh. However, it has led to lots of vacant lots on Princes Street. Also, the centre is not enclosed. It's design leads to wind funnelling through centre. There is no respite from Scottish winters. I was there this week and noticed all staff in shops wearing jackets/coats.
D. S.
This is the first time I've visited here since it opened. A fantastic shopping centre. Bought some great things here. Definitely recommend and will come back next time I'm in Edinburgh.
J. Y.
A shopping centre that Edinburgh deserves! Lovely open plan and good range of shops. Only downside is parking - expensive and lots of empty spaces. Much better to have the car park full at a lower price?
M.
Love it! A wonderland of goods and services. Nice robust crowd of shoppers. So CLEAN!!
m. n.
Take a jacket it's open air
S. D.
Pretty good first visit but cold and pigeons in the eating area although not dissing the little delights... basically wished the old was still there for nostalgia reasons 🙃 also way too many expensive shops... as in can I have a baby seal lined 800 quid jacket please... true capitalism.... …
I.
Large shopping mall in the centre of Edinburgh. Lots of shops with a wide variety of offers. You can easily spend hours there. Also many choices of food places.
Due to the open construction, it can get cold there in winter. Better bring a warm jacket if you get cold easily.
N. B.
Malls are not really my thing and this is a reboot of the previous incarnation (which was awful). Lots of big name stores, but lots of empty space too. I liked the look of the Everyman cinema so we might be back.
r.
A good selection of shops. Clean and tidy, but on the day we visited, it was very cold. Lego shop was a firm favourite with a young nephew.
Z. M.
It has good selection of shops but centre is very cold (inside shops is ok however). Also went last weekend and wife had to wait 20 minutes to use a toilet!! That kind of wait is a bit long for otherwise such a nice place.
H. L.
Edinburgh always need a shopping mall and it comes at a perfect time but the style of is doesn't fit the city in any possible way. Don't forget it floods itself every year in rain seasons.
D. M.
Love it in here. Best place to go shopping and for food/drinks in Edinburgh. It really has everything you need as well as good vibes! Definitely recommend it!
G. S.
The new shopping centre is great with plenty of choice. My only gripe is whoever designed this place really can't live in Scotland. I say this as the open entrance/exits left the place rather chilly!
M.
Love this place since its makeover. Shops are fairly expensive but it has some great food outlets. Very accessible and has fancy lifts.
E. C.
Lots of shops catering for under 21s nothing for those who have actually got the money in their bank accounts, the 30 plus brigade, who want quality clothing. For such a huge place, not much choice either in eating out, small little venues, a lot of free space not used properly makes it cramped. Lots of escalators tho which is handy and the toilets are good but still not nearly enough judging hy the queues at the ladies. Miss Jennwrs so much.but JOHN Lewis is the star in this Mall, lovely staff, good quality products thankful for JL. .
M.
It isn’t my favourite place to shop as I feel that it is very commercial and always busy, but I enjoy the wide selection of shops. Good place to start when buying gifts.
R. B.
A closed but open shopping mall (if there's a lot of wind outside, you'll notice). The shops and the restaurants in the food court are good. There's also a free bathroom if you need it.
L. M.
As someone who grew up in Edinburgh with the old St James Centre, this is a treat. Great shopping and eating. Looks like the eating part is only going to get better.
P. B.
A very pleasant shopping centre, prestinely clean and well appointed. The shop selection is excellent and I've made it a must stop destination any time I'm in Edinburgh
P. M.
Many top Brand Stores over several levels. Worth visiting. Several places to eat. Very well kept Centre.
J. D.
A good covered shopping arcade in a decent location. All the usual facilities and a solid selection of shops. Good food choices too.
E. S.
Decadently wonderful sweat treats! If you are looking for beautifully made desserts treat yourself to a visit to Haute Dolce! A little bit of Vienna in Edinburgh! A lovely comfortable space with great service!
J. W.
Cleverly designed and very spacious. Some takeaway style food places on the lower floor and restaurants on the 4th floor leaving the rest for a wide range of shopping. The cleverly designed parking looks great from the outside but we used the Waverley carpark. My 13 year old son and I visited Sportswear, Toys and Menswear but perused Jewellery and others without feeling crowded.
Be aware that it is completely open ended so the cold air goes right through the main atrium, there is however a lassy glass roof for pritection.
S. M.
Lots of dog friendly restaurant options and wide range of shops. There is also an easy access carpark. Great for people requiring disabled access.
D. J.
Great place for shopping. The sales have good marked downs.
There is a floor full of places to eat as well.
L. O.
Beautiful car park. Very nice staff. Duncan was very helpful & helped me navigate to the shops. Thank you again to him.
I. E.
It's OK 4 levels of shops and restaurants/ food outets
Nicely done but the shops are the same as you'd get in every town centre
G. P.
Great shopping place plenty of variety, very close to main train station and good transport links east and west
Good options for fast and more refined food
Very nice atmosphere
C. Y.
St James Quarter has been a good addition to the city with plenty of stores available all in one place, with a good variety of food choices and a Everyman Cinema too.
M. K.
This is a modern, stylish shopping centre, but the only criticism I'd have of it is its design - how open it is to the elements and the ability for people on upper floors to drop missiles onto people on lower floors.
A. F.
Didn't have anything we were looking for, for Xmas gifts.. so not anything helpful for me. But if you like being part of a cattle-call.. have at it.
S. B.
Pretty cold & souless shopping centre tbh. Some good brands but food court pretty rubbish. Not enough space for independents to make it all more interesting. Could be any city anywhere
J. T.
Maki & Ramen restaurant. Delicious good Japanese food. Good ambience and service.
Easy to park but carpark a little pricey, 3 hours cost £9.80!!
S. H.
Loved it, so spacious, great choice of shops. Loved the perfume counters at front of centre.
C. A.
Fab indoor shopping on a rainy day in Edinburgh. Close to train station and bonus of a fabulous John Lewis. Lots of restaurants across the road.
A. H.
It's good fun I was ill too people should know that it's not OK to bring dogs in shops in malls too ok
T. W.
Nice place for shopping, they’ve got a wide variety of stores and the mall is kept in very good condition.
S. C.
A nice place to shop, plenty of choices although mostly premium brands.
Very clean and security staff patrolling.
b. r.
Super clean mall.
But I didn’t like the restrooms. They were not clean
One stop for all our needs.
S.
Having walked from our hotel the previous day we decided to drive to the city centre the next day as it ended up with us walking a lot more than expected. As we got in the city we noticed the car park sign for this centre. Took the turn inside. What a fabulous new build this is. Excellent parking and a really good modern shipping centre.
C. C.
A brand new shopping centre stuffed with all major brands shopps and good places to eat, right in Edinburgh's heart.
A. I.
great shopping centre. newly opened. always evolving and adding to its repertoire. currently 4 levels however will expand to 6! great for the ladies. loads of shopping options. plus food and bowling and views of the city from up high.
D. R.
Great options for food and shopping and the overall design of the building is stunning but cant help but get a little lost with the poor sign posting to the toilets that are on the 1st floor but signs make them look like there along a corridor when really you need to go down the escalator to them.
I got a map of the building which helped alot so would definitely recommend getting one from the reception bit in the building.
p. b.
Some good shops all under the one roof so to speak. We will return for some Xmas shopping. Not too sure if there are many food outlets mind. Tho these can be found close by if not.
C. W.
At one end of Princess Street this wonderful open modern shopping centre which has great high street shops. I was keen to visit Zara, Pull & Bear and Bershka.
At the time I was there there was an exhibition of fabulous real flower fashion sculptures.
D. M.
Really enjoyed shopping, while it was very busy there was something for everyone
S. L.
Nice shopping centre, but still most of the shops and restaurants not opened
F.
Happy they connected this new mall to john lowis. I liked it really.
S.
An expensive but very modern multi storey car park / shopping centre with lots of shops etc. Being the centre of Edinburgh this is great for access to the further surroundings and seems like there is plenty of centre staff to help. Places looks amazing but not sure it would be my first call when visiting.
T. H.
If shopping is your thing, you will love this place. It has a wide variety of stores plus eateries. All in a modern environment.
C. B.
Some nice different shops here, some quite expensive brands . Good variety and well laid out.
T. M.
Well laid out and kept shopping centre with a large number of shops. Most of the shops in the centre are slightly upmarket shops but is a lovely centre to wander through, stop to eat in and spend a few hours in.
I. C.
A big shopping mall with lots of
restaurants and shops.
B.
Signs are very confusing. Lifts should have a warning. Staff a little too keen to tell where all the food shops are without asking if you want to know. Lego Store and Pho are outstanding.
S. A.
Stopped at the Spritz Garden for well deserved drink after a visiting the new shopping centre.
Staff at Spritz were lovely and it so nice to sit and relax out in the sun.
K. D.
OK.This is a starter review as it's only just opened and it's nowhere near finished, but what we saw today was lovely and we can't wait to see it develop over the coming weeks, months and years.Worth a wee visit, but you'll have to brave the queues to get onto the new shops.
A. A. L.
Amazing new shopping mall in center of edinburgh
A. V.
A lot of places are still up for rent (only 2-3 places to eat). It was absolutely packed when we went in the weekend. The queues seemed endless at every shop.
R. M.
Lots of top range shops & a nice large leisure area on the 4th level (Lane 7)
J. M. L. F.
My friend and I were in Edinburgh for the weekend and came here. A shame we missed the floral exhibition. (Next time use fake flowers for the display then we'll get to see them).
Mostly high end designer shops and a few food places to eat. We had a look in the lego store and was intruiged by all the models as well as taken back by the prices. Fun but expensive!
We took a pic with the Military Tattoo Poster.
A big Thank-You to H-Beauty (The Charlotte Tilbury stand outside the St James Quarter Shopping centre), we had a blast visiting you guys and spinning the wheel three days in a row. Jammy dodgers we are. Couldn't resist waiting for some freebies. We did well if I say. Your staff were lovely. Especially the one with the beautiful blue eyes we met on Sat 27/08/22 who was handing out the tote bags. I didn't catch his name but his eyes were beautiful. Also shout out to Joe who gave myself and friend the free complimentary close up. Friendly and made us feel good.
H. L.
Bright and clean with open spaces. Good food court with several options for food. We liked the Lego store as well.
L. C.
A vibrant space for shopping and leisure. Open until.late which is always a plus.
L. T.
Great visit lovely shops and indoors in Scotland definitely helps in winter..
D. B.
Loved it. Lots of really good shops and places to eat of of the rain.
M. P.
Some empty units on the top floor but on the whole a great place to shop.
P. M.
Lots of shops which is not really my thing however my wife loved it and I think was in every ladies fashion shops city centre a short stroll away well worth a visit if you like shopping
C. F.
Despite being an Edinburgh resident, I had basically avoided the St James Quarter for the first 18m of its creation. Other than to go in simply for a look, it just didn't really appeal. I've now been in a couple of times and still remain fairly indifferent. The Hamleys and Lego shops are cool for the kids, particularly Hamleys which always seems to have various items discounted. There is an abundance of clothes shops, and various restaurants that come with big reputations if the Evening News propaganda machine is to be believed. However, I find the layout of it awkward. Its not particularly easy to get around. One plus point that does deserve more attention when we can get back without our kids, is the Alchemist - the array of cocktails is huge and the few that we have sampled so far were delicious.
D. G.
Lovely centre, being brand new it's immaculate and has an zing choice of shops and places to eat. Toilets also spotless.
L.
Very nice shopping center, alot of shops and chilled atmosphere
M. T.
It's another Mall folks but call in and live the difference!
L. F.
Very spacious plenty hood quality shops and loads places to eat. Just walked from Edinburgh centre easy to find
C. B.
Good mix of shops, friendly and helpful security staff
M. A.
Central mall in the centre of Edinburgh. We went to the cinema here and the service was outstanding. They let us change our initial booked session to an earlier one.
B. N.
A nice ultra modern Mall to hang out with the festive decorations. A good selection of eateries on level 4.
E. M.
Really seems to be coming along with more shops opening and plenty of places to eat and drink. Great selection of shops to treat yourself!
J. M.
Used St James car park for the first time. Lost my car and Alan could not have been more helpful helping me locate it . Thanks again Alan. Will definitely use the car park again.
J. F.
First time at new centre. Very lmpresses. Bright good shops. Well worth a visit.
S. P.
Lovely shopping centre with a variety of different shops. Various prices and different types of shops. Never had long to look but i will return x
J. D.
Nice place but mainly for clothes. Nice big centre though, plenty space.
D. S.
Very modern shopping mall in the heart of Edinburgh. All the usual big name highstreet stores and eateries under one roof.
R. M.
Great shopping centre but couldn't find my way out (maybe that's their plan). Loads of shops
S. D.
Shops are modern but not for all categories of people. Good variety of cafes and food options to eat out
G.
Usual shopping centre experience, lots of glossy fronted shops with staff to match, but not many shopping bags visible.
R. S.
It's a brilliant place for shopping and eating. It has something for everyone, there is plenty of parking available although to be honest it could be a bit cheaper (but also unsurprised given its Edinburgh). It's good to see even more new places slowly being added and opening up in the shopping centre.
D. p.
Nice Shopping centre, but for some reason there were two DJs playing music from the last century way too loud for confort, just ridiculous that someone thought that was a good idea.
E. G.
Very nice, clean & modern centre since it has been refurbished! Great range of shops a bit different from all the usual shopping centres! Great place to eat a good choice for everyone! Car parking also available underground the centre which is handy as your right in city centre, very safe & lots of spaces to park
F. A.
One of the best shopping centres in UK I have visit a lot of shopping Centre over the world but this one i found with clean attractive with a wonderful customer service number
N. M.
Picture shows the view from top windows. Not everything was open yet but what was......were a great selection of shops and eateries.
s. a.
Fabulous place to meet and eat with family and friends. . What a fresh looking place to hang out which looks and feels posh and welcoming minus the hassle of fancy places that need long advance bookings. Lots and lots of brands of both medium range and higher range to shop clothes, accessories, etc. Unlike many malls they've free benches and seating in the centre of the mall to just pause and rest your feet and calm your kids down before entering a restaurant. Lifts and toilets are well labelled for you to find out even though the mall is huge. All in all great new place to explore.
T. H.
Brilliant new shopping mall with upmarket boutiques and a good choice of refined restaurants.
A. N. (.
Fairly decent amount of shops and choice. I think they only thing it may be missing is a little corner shop but they have absolutely everything else!
C. F.
Love, love, love this place - it's as stylish outside as it is in. Great selection of shops with both the usual and the unusual. Your everyday staples to your more upmarket aspirational with a touch of the chi chi continental. Smooth and airy with scintillating scents and smells and vibrant sights and sounds. Finally Edinburgh has something to show off in the shopping stakes and she can come out Glasgow's shadow. Who knows maybe this is the beginning of the fight back with an Edinburgh shopping renaissance showcasing the more sophisticated, more upmarket names to finally show do justice to Edinburgh's beautiful and historic surroundings - bring it on!
S.
Lots of busy well stocked shops -loved it
J.
Great Size Mall! Plenty of Restaurants & Clothes store to work your way round!
L. M.
Lovely shopping centre. Great variety of shops, places to eat and drink and activities.
S. M.
Good place. A lot of options to eat. But only a few amount of shops
S. D.
Still a wee bit to go before I would say that this place is a must visit. Some units still empty but those that are there are quite good, the outdoor store on the first level with Scandinavian clothing and outdoor items is a must visit. Great staff.
E. B.
Lovely clean fresh looking shopping center but chilly walking between shops. Good variety and shops remind me of spain!
D. H.
A modern and airy shopping centre with a variety of shops and food outlets
E. W.
So bloody freezing. Why are there no doors on each entrance. It was so cold staff in Pandora and the entrance to John Lewis had to wear big thick coats.
A. F.
Lots of tasty food on offer. Good selection of shops . The best shop is the Lego store!
J. E.
Easy to navigate and good selection for Christmas shopping. Feel parking is very expensive compared to similar other retail
W.
Loads of shops. Looks clean. Nothing really special. The Christmas decorations on the outside are nice.
K. M.
Wrap up warm as this is an inside/outside kinda place, but does have a good range of retailers in the centre.
J. M.
The best shopping centre I've been in since Bluewater in London.. you have to try the lifts... So high tech.. amazing.. people literally go there just for the lift experience
R. R.
Very cold in winter. Great selection of shops.
S.
Good selection of shops, nice atmosphere with pleasant architecture.
M. D.
Brilliant shopping experience, but did not enjoy the cold wind blowing throughout the building
B. C.
Nice big spacious shopping mall. Only problem I found was not enough seating. When you get to a certain age you have to pace yourself so it's nice to be able to have a wee seat and recharge your batteries.
R. D.
It's a shopping centre, nice shops, but still a shopping centre. The food bit at the top was nice, but it's still a shopping centre.
J. P.
Lots of shops to browse. Well managed, very clean.
E. S.
Lie having a wander round all the shops and levels. Good all round centre with lots to see and shops to look in.
J. W.
Lovely small with great selection of designer shops
E. S.
It has a lot of new shops you could not get in the city centre before such as Krispy Kreme, Lego, Pull & Bear and so on
S. B.
Large mall-style shopping and entertainment centre on 5 floors - John Lewis is the featured department store, with a wide range of co-located shops and eateries.
B. M.
Lack of suitable coffee spots or smart eating spots, toilets were messy. No wine bar.
H. S.
One of the best shopping malls in town. All branded stuff under one roof.
D. C.
Very clean and spacious shopping centre that was not too busy.
P. K.
Large Shopping Mall with beautiful structure.
All top brands can be found.
A. B.
Great place to splash your money on designer clothes and food
C. A.
Went to John Lewis then fancied a walk around the centre. Good decent shops in it. Nice place
J. T.
Easy to visit with good shopping nice place to get out of the weather...
C. E.
Haven't been in here since they've rebuilt everything. Has a great selection, if you fancy jewelry and (mostly) women's clothing. They do have a Five Guys and a Lego store, so that's good enough for me. Also, there's a good variety of eating options, including some food trucks outside one of the entrances/exits.
F. V.
BBC Front Row Tuesday Aug 9 in the Spiegel tent. Usually the BBC are so organised and slick. Not so this time, the queuing system was poor. Waiting nearly an hour only to be told you are only on standby could have been avoided with a simple head count of chair numbers inside the tent. Also so much bunching up of people and nobody knowing what was happening...except of course for the manager "I've been doing this job for 13 years and this is the way it is done..." Most people in the queue had been doing the festival for 30 to 40 years and no, it's not the way it is always done! Then inside the tent an elderly lady's chair tipped backwards, off the edge of a seating platform and straight out of the fire door onto the ground! Is this the way health and safety is always done too?..deary me! Not great BBC, could be better. The show itself was a bit mixed. Comedian Matt Ford was the best. And the host was very good.
C. B.
Great place to shop, plenty for everyone, the upper floor for lovely eateries.
S. Z. (.
Love to have all the shops which I shop there.
K. S.
Big shopping centre with lots of interesting shops. Nice building and place to visit for shopping and browsing.
A. M.
This must be the Coldest shopping centre anywhere you nearly need to buy another coat to keep warm
s. v.
Nice brand new luxury shopping mall , like the food court as well ,
H. T.
Lovely, and extra pretty with Christmas lights. Very hot though when you get in from outside.
R. v. B.
Clean and modern mall. Mostly orientated on clothing an electronic appliances. Has some toy stores.
C.
There's a lot of stuff to do. But doesn't have many choices to eat there. (it's expensive)
K. J.
Lovely shopping centre, car park not cheap
P. G.
Good selection of stores in this shopping centre...very festively decorated
L. P.
Love this place went back next day, lots of designer shops
I.
This is a nice shopping center which is fully ♿ accessible with lots of variety of shops right from clothing, accessories , toy shops , eateries , etc. There are toilets with baby changing stations available. There are hand sanitisers kept following the COVID norms. The place is generally crowded specially during holidays and weekends. Also some exhibitions are always put up there. Check website to know more. Its free to visit.
F.
Nice and bright inside but not a great variety of shops and there is a fee for parking
B. K.
Not too bad for a shopping centre. Clean, tidy plenty of eateries catering for different tastes.
T. M.
It's a nice enough shopping mall. Could be a bit more interesting.
B. •.
Very Great Grand-Opening After 5 Years It was Definitely Worth the Wait massive with 6 floors
A. R.
Lovely shopping centre with good eateries too which is an added bonus 😀 …
J. P.
Not before time Edinburgh had a place like this not currently full to capacity yet but not far away. Very good choice from a variety of different shops catering for a wide range of people. Great choice of eateries from various different cuisine's not to expensive either good car parking facilities on site . Free on site WiFi public toilets and hotel on site. Great public transportation links as well all in all I was pleasantly surprised
M. Y.
The shops may be warm but the centre itself is cold
G. A.
Really liked it here enjoyed shops loved John Lewis
D. B. R.
Slight architectural design flaws (welcome to the wind tunnel) won’t undermine the centre’ appeal in terms of one-stop shop convenience paired with tremendous entertainment offerings (Everyman Cinema, Bonnie & Wild et al, to name but a few)…
S. W.
Great shops
Just a bit too cold.
C. C. U.
Possibly the best looking shopping mall I've ever visited 🙂 selection of shops is pretty good too, could use another technology shop though 🙂 …
F. L.
Love this place! Excellent variety of shopping and dining options. Bonnie and Wild was the highlight of our stay.
I. M.
Nice clean mall, Good selection of shops, got the shirt I wanted. Good selection of food outlets.
V. D.
Nice shopping mall to visit, with lots of excellent outlets within the complex with the bus station next door. Ideal for the park and rides.
R. O.
Great large mercat style building, with around 3 floors of all big main dealers , John Lewis, etc , I actually got lost , and had to ask the way back out ,give it a try, you won't be sorry
h. f.
I love how this place feels qnd has a lot of good stores and food places. Maki and ramen is a must
E. K.
Such a great shopping centre! It has all the shops you need and it was so clean and tidy it seemed new. We popped in here for some fuel after walking up to Arthur's seat. Went to the tortilla but there was lots of options. Certainly worth a wonder if you are in the area.
E. M.
Very modern, clean and vibrant shopping centre with a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants.
A. B.
Best shopping centre in Scotland. I especially like the lay out. I visit every year.
M. C.
Nice mix of stores and others coming soon. It does not ruin the landscape of the older buildings which is nice. It's not enclosed (walk thru) so bring a jacket it can be a bit chilly. Not an issue though! Lovely place to shop!
A. P.
Open, large, and has plenty of light. Lots of shops from expensive to ludicrous. But worth the money if you need somthing
k. b.
First visit, jeez what a great job they done, open, fresh air running through the length of the structure. 3 levels supplied with working escalators. The choice of shops i thought were first class, however Princess street is now a ghost town so mixed feelings about the other side of the coin. Areas were clean and tidy room to move about freely. Yes would highly recommend. Oh and sufficiant parking close by.
E. O.
Exciting, a bit pricy but friendly staff in most of the shops we visited, though the food options were a bit limited.
G. D.
Nice little corner coffee shop, the manager was really sweet and ensured everything was up to the mark
G. G.
What's there not to like?. Nice place to meander around on a wet day.
Oor Welly ☕🤗 …
S. T.
Love what they have done with the place, gave it a new lease of life. Although the shops are definitely for a specific clientele (more expensive shops rather than affordable for some people). But Lane 7 and The alchemist were great 👍 …
W. H.
This is the new development on the site of the old St James Centre. It is a HUGE improvement on the old building. There are many more retail outlets it is much much more spacious and airy than before. A massively improved use of the space.
J. T.
Plenary parking spaces, nice large shopping area. Very modern building.
p. k.
Great shopping centre. It was my first visit. Good shops.
N.
Looks very nice and far more inviting that the previous building. There is just little variation in the shops here, they are all very similar and a bit dull. The food places do look inviting but most were closed when I visited at 11am on a Saturday. Very strange.
H. J.
Lots of shops. Lots of places to eat with food from all around the world. But its a mall. Not what you want to spend time on when in such an awesome city as Edinburgh.
R.
Somehow I've gotten sick the last three times I went and I'm masked and sanitised so watch out. Also the food places aren't great very over prized and small portions but yeah the staff in most of the shops try harder than majority of Edinburgh so that's good right
R. S.
Very impressed easy to move around plenty of eating places
d. b.
It's a very nice shopping centre, a few shops that you don't see elsewhere in Scotland.
P. T.
Good place to go but not many decent restaurants in it
l. b.
Very busy but lovely to eat and shop
J. H.
Big improvement on the old at James centre. Good range of shops.
F.
Edinburgh is rightly proud of the St James Quarter. International stores and the excellent John Lewis was busy with Christmas shoppers when I visited.
G. W.
Great new centre with hige variety of shops and some good restaurants.
B. G. A.
Nice place for shopping and also has some restaurants. Worth going if you want to shop in different well-known brands. It also has some recreative places such Lane7
J.
It's a more modern shopping district. Not something I'd call a tourist destination, since it lacks that old Edinburgh charm, but a nice area regardless, and a good trip for us, having lost some luggage!
M. B.
Great variety of top class shops and places to eat...toilets on each floor...
A. D.
There is not much here really for families. It does have a good choice of restaurants which is the main reason we are likely to visit. We do occasionally visit Kohn Lewis and the Lego shop. But i haven't been in any other shops there as they do not have anything i want.
D. J.
Great shopping mall. Plenty of shops and a very clean public toilets. 👍👌 …
T. T.
Nice and spacious mall with the usual shops, although not tourist worthy imo cause the terrace is currently closed.
L. P.
Great place ,brilliant place especially on a rainy cold day, lots of shops and places to eat.
A. B.
Clean, bright and great selection of shops and restaurants.
C. V.
Open building very but very cold nice shops 👌 …
J. G.
Love the Bonnie & Wild marketplace for food. Been here before, tried different stall. Same high quality
M.
Finally some better shopping centre in Edinburgh..
Nevertheless, someone had modern project, but completely forgot about comfort. This is another place in Edinburgh where you cannot get in and warm up during winter or rain
It's terrible that people spend millions on investments that are not user friendly
L. C.
Wide range of shops and food for the city center weather passing through or stopping for a cloths or cosmetics shop
E. B.
An interesting shopping center, it is not clear why there is no roof, open space and drafts !!!!
C. H.
Beautiful place to visit much bigger than it was when it was saint James center
F. “. w.
Lovely shopping mall and still have a lot more to look at in there
K. P.
Pleasant experience to walk around with a broad selection of brand names.
P.
Looked great on my first visit , loads of retailers , decent food court too
N. B.
Great place to go shopping. I work in John Lewis where you can buy a wide range of stock and if you want stylish sunglasses go to the Sunglasses hut, my friend works there. Plus many, many other exciting shops within the centre.
S. L.
What a stunning building with lovely open spaces and a modern airy design. The centre has been filled with a mix of high Street brands, premium retailers and niche local boutiques. Well worth a visit and no comparison to the previous St James Centre it replaced. Pleased to see John Lewis has retained its presence.
P. M.
A lovely place very slick shopping experience
J. W. (.
Good place to spend all your money. Not really much point in visiting unless you are looking to buy some expensive clothes/jewelry or have a fancy dinner. The security guards are a little noisy and seem to follow you about.
R. S.
Super centre - hope it generates the footfall needed to survive and is not just an Amazon / on line showroom !
A. S.
Definitely a revitalising centre for the Eastern end of Princes Street. Certainly a large number of premium shops and great sight lines from the multilevel walkways. But what were they thinking with the roof, you'll need wellies in the winter, an umbrella and thick coat.
S. V.
Amazing shopping centre loads of shops and friendly staff
A. F.
Nice big broad corridors and layout. Nice pleasant shopping mall. Decent toilets.
Really annoying adverts pop up while reading the standing maps.
Lost? Watch these adverts before you can read the map.
L. C.
Great place beautiful shops great restaurants vey trendy love it
B.
A great range of shops but finding the food area was tricky. There are some restaurants on level 4, some on the ground floor and I think some dotted all over the place. Difficult for a 1st time visitor because the information boards were constantly changing screen, so you couldn't figure out where you were, or wanted to go.
J. S.
Love the variety of shops especially John Lewis, helpful staff. Large shopping Centre with Amazing lifts. We'll laid out, something for everyone. Well worth a visit when in the Capital.
T. S.
Great fun area!
A. B.
Great apart from when it rains a lot or has a power cut when it'll be dark and wet
A. G.
Ultra modern, good looking, almost space age. Good variety of shops with John Lewis the jewel in the crown. Would have given it 5-stars but there are so many open areas to the outside that allow the cold wind to blow in. Expected it to be fully enclosed. Definitely worth a visit or two.
N. M.
Pretty generic modern shopping centre. Looks just like one in Belfast. And Liverpool. And other cities. Is clean and tidy and love the fact that the ladies toilets have free sanitary products provided.
N. M.
Excellent all around with good outlets.
K. T.
Love the compactness but also the spaciousness of everything here!
M.
I saw not one but two shiba inu dogs in this shopping centre, which made up for the fact that I can't afford to shop at about 90% of the stores in here.
K. C.
Personally wish they had a wider selection of shops and food places however I love how spacious this shopping centre is. Multiple toilets available too. Very nice views from the top floor. Highly recommend the selection of shops if you're rich as most are designer.
D. W.
I found shopping surprisingly enjoyable. Love the veiws of the city from the different levels and i dont enjoy shopping
N. M.
Clean, spacious, lot's of retail shops and a nice selection of eateries. Typical mall with the combination of it being in the city centre, protected by the elements. Nice place to walk around and window shop.
C. S.
Excellent place for shopping and to have a coffee or a meal. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from
J. C.
Excellent new shopping mall in an interesting building. All the big name shops have deserted Princes Street to go to St James - which is a pity, but having said that it’s a lovely shopping center. Good restaurants too.
S. R.
Car park staff were extremely helpful and polite and well mannered.
W. W.
Amazing building. The art gallery is fantastic and the staff made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Unfortunately couldn't afford the amazing bronze Highland cattle.
L. H.
Decent amount of shops and suit all ages!
S. W.
This place has all the stores one would need with good public facilities and a delightful restaurant on the 4th floor thatvwould cater to any taste.
j. f. (.
I feel I'm being unfair, but apart from the layout being well done and the space it created, none of the shops enticed myself or my friends from Glasgow to go inside. We all felt a wee bit intimidated by the brand's and prices! At this moment in time, I'm not intending to return unless I win a lot of money! This is my opinion and if you've not been, go and you maybe enjoy the experience!
B. H.
Huge range of upmarket shops. Plenty of places to eat
P. S.
Fairly big place, many different places to eat, a few shops, cinema and other stuff. Exactly what Edinburgh needed for some time now.
A. S.
Love the new St James Centre, so many good shops and food outlets compared to the old St James
M. D.
Generic shopping centre with the usual shops, nothing special. Few gimmicks here and there with pop up bars and the woke culture that will stand in a queue for the latest trends from overseas. Shops that you will find at the bigger centres a stone throw away. A new building but pretty much of the same. Bit of a shame they knocked down the old building for this
M. S.
Nicely laid out modern shopping mall.
I especially enjoyed the lego store!
L. (.
That's tricky one to review.
Shopping centre does have shops, it's truly nothing difficult in that.
I was visiting gorgeous LEGO shop. However, I've walked all the way around, up and down leaving my first lego shop for the very end.
Interesting architecture as perceived from the inside.
Exterior design fails dramatically at golden top swirly feature in the centre...😂
Place is spacious and very accessible. Traffic flow is well planned and stores are allocated nicely.
Attention to the details and cost saving pops up in some elements. Wall decoration is already damaged and dirty in so many places.
Very bottom level flooring reassembles more casual old walk path than fits within the shopping gallery.
Many things are giving you this feeling of very basic finnish.
You still can see signs of the rain inside😉
Restrooms maintenance and overall place hygiene level are unquestionable as great.
And then comes the LEGO shop... 🥰
J. G.
Great shops.
The only thing to fault was the extortionate car parking prices £13 fir 4 hours.
K. R.
Great range of shops, great day out
B. C.
Amazing loads of quality shops ranging from clothing to food
F. M.
Loved the shops. Excellent breakfast at John Lewis. I bought some presents for Christmas. Good parking but maybe a bit expensive. It's the choice you make but we thought it was worth it.
Lots of seats in the main area which is a good thing.
J. W.
Nice enough place but still missing all the shopping & eating experience that was promised. Far to many empty units with coming soon & still to let signs. I'd have thought it should have been near full capacity by now as there's very little other shopping or eating places left in Princes Street or Waverley Centre, what has the Edinburgh Councillors done to the capital of Scotland. Should we not be moving the capital if Scotland to Glasgow or Stirling as tourists would have a far better experience at these fantastic city's.
C. F.
It's has become a good shopping destination.
G. P.
Lovely Very spacious and various Places to stop and lunch 😀 …
E.
Beautiful new shopping centre and a wide range of shop. Really enjoyed walking through it
c. f.
New St J's Quarter . All shops and coffee. Nice to see Samsung store. There's a 'help me' tour guide. Very friendly. Please visit include in next trip.
I. L.
An excellent shopping experience, with some superb food outlets in Bonnie and Wild
D. G.
First time visiting and certainly won't be my last. Superb variety of shops and places to eat. Highly recommended
R.
Great place to shop and spend some time when it’s rainy out! Entrances on nearly all sides and easily accessible. Modern, airy, and has a good selection of shops! I can see lots of new places are under construction and are opening soon. There were quite a lot of people on a weekday.
V. A.
Yeah it's fine, though don't like that some of it doesn't have a roof.
J. A.
Lots of nice shops and love how open it feels.
p. k. S.
Well, newly opened place has it's own attraction, but still the show rooms are not fully operational /occupied. Food mall is small, the architecture never gives opportunity to have a bird's-eye vew of the city below from the food mall. Not fully impressed.
A. G.
Now we know where all the shops from princess street went! Very nice shopping mall...
J. Ó. h.
Unreal - amazing shops / I was short £5 for this jacket!
C. z.
I loved it!!
especially John Lewis because you find everything you need and more.
J. R.
Being brand new, it looks fresh but the gallery openings between the levels restrict the space at each level for walking when it's busy and there are queues. The food offering is also a bit disappointing. Many fast food outlet all grouped together instead of being spread out around the centre. The specialist food section consisted of a lot of drink bars and the retail sections were mostly empty.
F. O.
New clean you can find everything
R. W.
My first visit from Southampton fantastic shopping experience great shops. Love this beautiful shopping destination 😍 …
S. E.
Visited John Lewis to purchase one of their own branded electronic oil filled radiators. From the first member of staff who took me to the department, to the sales assistant and finally the assistant at customer services were all immensely helpful and pleasant to engage with. There was plenty of car parking spaces available, with good visible signs directing me to the John Lewis customer collection point. This was the first time I'd been back into John Lewis since they opened the new Quarter Shopping Centre and it was a very enjoyable experience.
B.
Great variety of shops and food places
J. “. G.
modern mall seems of recent build. fancy fast food restaurants.
G. F.
Modern very clean full of shops and coffee bars and small restaurants, multi floors and John Lewis great place to eat and shop.
B. A.
Relatively new shopping centre. Great location. Easily accessible from any side of the city. Wide walkways. Plenty of escalators. Easily to navigate and walk around. Good selection of shops which are reasonably spacious and in line with the latest trends. Vibrant and a good place to visit.
A. M.
Very busy a bit pricey for me young people will love it good mix of shops
O. W.
Beautiful architectural design with a pleasant dining experience .
J. N.
A major face-lift has made this a great destination to plug the hole made by the gradual deterioration of Princes Street.
P. H.
Great shopping place. A bit expensive parking fee.
M. K.
Great pocę for shopping. Especially recommend the food trucks and Leith St food court!
L. M.
Is a nice shopping centre. However I was expecting something different. A massive important entrance maybe, also would have been nice with some green areas or gardens inside the mall, and also it doesn't have anything for kids!! Not even a machine to put a coin 😑. Is not ready yet, many other shops are opening little by little. The best part, was the boiling pub at the top
R. D.
Cute little shopping centre
M. K.
Great new shopping centre. Plenty of food outlets and some good clothes shops.
N. F.
First time visit to Edinburgh..plenty of high end shops in this centre
E.
Lots of shops to choose from, bottom floor have plenty of restaurants to choose from if your hungry.
M. R.
So much choice! Great atmosphere. Certainly going back! Great naked burrito!
R. F.
Very nice shopping arcade and ground level food court was great quality and service.
N. R.
Great quality stores here, pleasant shopping experience.
L. M.
Fantastic new shopping centre!! Modern and bright with a good range of shops and restaurants. Excellent parking facilities, we were welcomed at the car park by Jay who was lovely, very polite and friendly!
Can't wait to visit again.
D. N.
Pleasant atmosphere. Spacious walkways. Lots to chose from. Worth a visit.
s. c.
Interesting architecture, just big retail names.
A. J.
This is a great shopping complex, full of some great shops and eateries, I feel however it is lacking in a welcoming and pleasant environment for families with young children to enjoy there shopping experience in this beautiful complex. My daughter and my grandchildren who were with me just had a look in the Lego Store, and then went to Krispy Kreme for a doughnut and milk shake which made the trip worth while.
A. L.
Good variety of shops and eating places. Should be even better when finished. Now taking too long to finish inside and outside
D. G.
Pleasant experience, restaurant was highly recommended (creel caught),bonnie and wild,if you love seafood then taste the fish and chips, best by far, can't wait to go back.
G.
Had lovely birthday treat a Japanese restaurant.great food and great service....👍 …
F. L.
A very safe parking spot near city centre in Edinburgh
N. B.
31st July 2022, no change. Fine. Shops and more shops. Not my cup of tea, but if you like that kind of thing, it's fine.
s. m.
great shopping center and food outlets to choose from

Despite the fact its a shopping complex primarily, I'm mpressed with the new St James Quarter.
Not yet fully open, but so far looks good, good choice of shops. Food area looks nice although people may be put off by the fact you have to walk into the area and be greeted by staff rather than a traditional food hall.
It's open to the elements at either end which may be an issue when the Scottish weather kicks in properly and the staff in the shops near the non existent doors look like ice cubes.

Lovely shopping mall. Lots of high end brands mixed with more familiar high street names. Great space on the upper floor for dining out.

What a wonderful addition to Edinburgh. It was exactly what it needed! I find myself there quite often. The addition of the Everyman cinema on the top floor was just the icing on the cake! Just fantastic.

It's a newly opened shopping mall in Edinburgh. A variety of shops form shoes to clothes to toys. A couple of restaurants to eat from like Five Guys. Parking space available. Lifts are available for easy access. It is walking distance from Princess street.

Money spent tho not correctly on entertainment not forward thinking to much repetitive so public spending dropped businesses not making enough nkt enough careers offered even without experience or c.v if career desired via applicant job to be offered and training given as business can afford it senior management need to put the time effort into it to make business flourish.
Also not enough enterprises here very large space of properties money flow intake low of each unit waste of public spending ,
Not credit mind set of management of business need re structuring of each ownership re thinking mind set on how to aim higher instead of what can cannot afford or aim for .
Low level thinking here .
Big shame again for such new development new business attention spot of such famed city of country worldwide.
Make it happen.
Security slacking not looking professional look like parry rime floor shop staff shelf fillers .
Shame lacking staff training of business again credit Fred training of business management ownership time inflow to do so and waste the appropriate details ans aim on intentions, people desire the industry with without certificates companies business have it to do do. Mind set employ correctly in any industry increase business flow reputation outlook. Again wasted in all industries due to lack of detail of each client new employee that shows greater interest desire , promoting for new applicants without cv or training certification beings in better perspective designs creations of where to go next , again repetitive missing out on new applicants that have what it is in a person to succeed tho nit always treated correctly on intelligence level smart clever clean worth higher pay rate no one are slaves.
Not in old ancient times in a modern world that needs roo strive determination.
Out with much of the old in with the new no excuses too much holding onto comfort blanket so to speak holding onto apron strings fear frightened of the new brings endless failure needles battles exhaustion .

This place recently opened up in the heart of Edinburgh and definitely has all the shops you'll need, this makes for a great day out with friends and family as there is definitely something for everyone from clothes stores to food stores. Along with this a hotel, cinema and upstairs viewing terrace is due to open up soon on floors 5&6 which will make this a fair sized shopping centre with a lot to offer. Would recommend you check this place and the surrounding areas if you're visiting Edinburgh for sure!

Glad to see the new St James centre open. The re-modernisation is stunning. Good variety of shops. Glad to see that it is dog friendly too, however it is frustrating that there is no way of knowing what shops all dogs inside. A simple sign on the doors or shop frontage would be massively
useful to let people know. For that reason alone I only gave 4 stars. Please, adopt some sort of notice that would make it easy for shoppers to know if dogs are permitted,or if they face the embarrassment of being asked to leave a store.

Edinburgh's newest shopping mall has all the major brands you would expect to find in a capital city plus some more exciting and interesting brands. You should expect queues outside the Lego shop but generally, you can move about without impediment. The modern, airy design isn't to everyone's taste but regardless of your view on the semi-open design, it's definitely worth a visit.

Nice place to walk and shop. They have big Boots store there
J. B.
A good variety of retail premises and eating establishments.

New shoping center, all the new things.
H. H.
Very clean, open and massive inside.
Good selection of stores so far. Will be interesting to see it when everything is fully open and running.
Even when it's packed on a Saturday it's still easy to get around and doesn't feel as crowded as some other shopping centres.

This was our first visit here and it has a good mix of stores. Building work was still going on in the upper floors. If the weather had been better we would haave some good views from the gallery
