Reviews of Caledonia Park
M. P.
Pleasantly surprised. One of the nicer retail outlets I have seen with a good variety of interesting stores. Not all are truly ‘outlets’ (for example the Lindt chocolate store) but there are a good number of shops that you do not usually find in the typical retail park. The simple layout is easy to navigate and the architectural style is pleasant and sympathetic to the local environment. We stayed longer than we intended to do. The only downside is the parking area which has limited space immediately adjacent to the outlet and the individual spaces are far too narrow. I worried that a careless passenger or driver of another vehicle might prang my car bodywork, which worry rather detracted from the experience. There are alternative parking facilities nearby but of course everyone wants to park in the main car park, leading to the inevitable congestion. I would respectfully suggest some thought be given to remodelling the car parking to make it more user friendly and easier to drive around, even if that reduces the vehicle capacity of the main car park. Our visit was made as a break from the long journey up the M74 and we are happy that we did so. We’ll probably come again the next time we travel from England to Scotland.

A good selection of outlet stores in an open and accessible retail park, that is well attended and kept clean and tidy. Some fantastic sales are currently running on top of outlet prices meaning there are some very good deals to be had on brand label items. The park and most shops are also dog-friendly and venders are welcoming.

I have been coming here since it first opened and been here many times. I like the new shop fronts and the new range of shops. It was a really hot day when we visited and couldn't justify a trip to the Lindt emporium as any purchases would have melted on the spot. My husband greatly enjoyed the milk machine at the entrance and bought a litre of vanilla milk shake. You have to buy the bottle first and then fill up with milk shake or fish milk...the glass bottle is lovely and I will greatly cherish...and return and refill next time I am there.. Great to support local farmers..thanks to the Moffatt family in Rigg for their great produce... Lots of school uniform purchasing was going on...didn't have time to go to all the shops this time but look forward to coming back soon...always make sure that if you are visiting the area that you are going to visit Gretna Green and the Black Smiths shop and food Hall too...as it is just up the road..there is plenty of parking you can also take train from Carlisle and Dumfries ..

Visited whilst in the area to see if anything took my fancy before Christmas. There was no overcrowding (felt quite quiet actually which was surprising in the week before Christmas). Lots of interesting outlet shops which is good if you are looking for particularly branded items. In the end, I didn't purchase anything but my wife found a top in M&S to purchase.
C. D.
This outlet park has improved, there is a good range of shops, lots of designer brands. There are now two new independent coffee shops as well as Costa. The Christmas's atmosphere was excellent. Clean, safe and enjoyable.
P. G.
Getting much better. I think it went downhill for a few years. The recent face-lift makes it look good. Hopefully all the hard work can be topped off with new decent brands adding to the empty stores.
B. P.
Pleasantly surprised as I had not been here for 10 years. Decent selection of stores, bigger than normal outlet units for Nike,Adidas, m&s, etc. Berghaus was a new outlet I'd not seen before. Worth a visit if you're in the area, has a few eating options too so handy stop on your way to or from Scotland
M.
Nothing really to rave about to be honest. It's as you would expect for a small retail outlet. Some good shops but plenty of empty units which is disappointing & some that are there don't have great selections or at reasonable prices, especially considering its a retail park in the middle of nothing just off the M6. It's ok for a stop off point to stretch your legs and use the toilet, maybe grab a coffee then head off on your journey.
P. P.
I'll reserve judgement on this place.
On a nice spring day with the sun beating down, it's probably a great place to while away an afternoon. An apparently excellent supply of the usual shops.
On a Friday afternoon, with a steaming dose of what turned out to be COVID, and the rain delivering an endless and comprehensive soaking, it seemed a bit bleak, like.
Can't really say why. It was just a feeling.
R. T.
No surprise. Just like all shopping outlets in the UK. The most attractive shops are Nike, Adidas and Le Crueset... Prices in other shops are around a mere 5% discount from high street shops.
Not many choices of food available as well..... Just Subway and Costa.....
J. P.
Like being in Scandinavia with its new look , some good bargains to be got from a good variety of shops. One thing stands out is there is three different toilet facilities all well looked after.
J. J.
There's a good range of shops here some of them offering additional discounts and as a result I bought a few Christmas gifts. My only complaint about this park is that the canopies on the shops don't provide any shelter from the inevitable rainy weather.
H. M.
I went to Pavers in Caledonia Park to buy some shoes with arch support. I spoke to an assistant who was very knowledgeable and brought me several pairs to try. She was very friendly, helpful and patient while I tried on several pairs until I found two pairs that were perfect. She also advised me about arch supports to use in other shoes. The prices were very reasonable and the shoes are great quality, look good and most of all are so comfortable that I rarely use any other pairs. We also looked round the rest of the park while we were there and found it clean and unlittered with a good selection of shops and eateries. There is plenty of parking, lots of places to sit outside and well maintained toilet facilities. A great shopping experience.
E. W.
Hadn't visited for a few years but was pleasantly surprised by the revamped site. What used to be a somewhat mediocre retail park mainly inhabited by coach trippers has been transformed into a proper designer outlet village. Seeing a Kate Spade shop was a big bonus for me. Much nicer buildings but car park needs some attention still. Retail staff are always friendly and extremely helpful as they always were. Great savings to be made on luxury brands with plenty of offers.
If you want cheap fashion, I suggest you go shop in Carlisle. This is after all a designer outlet village so be prepared for higher prices and quality goods.
L.
Love it molten brown shop always got bargain's throughout the year..other shops are fab..Costa coffee.. couple restaurants and cafes a great day out ..free parking
M. M.
Great place to stop over, when heading back home. Main carpark can get a bit busy, but lots of cars coming and going, so not too long to get a space. There are overflow carparks, but we've never had to use them. Outside of the units were clad with wood effect in the last few years, to give it an American look. Still managed to get some good value Xmas presents in Nov 2022, but noticed that prices at Ralph Lauren have increased a lot over the last few years, compared to other shops on the site.
D. N.
Very good choice of shops, had an enjoyable look around. M&S outlet is a great shop to go to also the Lindt chocolate shop is a nice experience!! Had a really nice lunch in one of the food outlets, would recommend a visit.
W. T.
This outlet complex is located just off the M6 at junction 45 it has ample free on-site parking and two overflow car parks. There are several buses that stop on-site, and the train station is within walking distance from Gretna Village.
There's a range of stores available to shop at from M&S, Mountain Warehouse, Nike, Next, and Cotton Traders to Clarkes, Pavers, Cadbury, and Lindt. There are outlets available for food and beverages with plenty of toilets available. There's also a dairy vending booth.
The outlet is accessible with ramps, wide doorways, disabled parking.
It's worth checking online for upto date opening times and store availability as these do change occasionally. Being in Scotland, some Bank Holidays are different, and the outlet doesn't open for all of them. In the main the outlet is open 7 days a week.
The offers available can be good as a number of stores use the outlet to shift their unpopular branded items. Most of the offers available at present are Black Friday deals, which are also available online and in the high street.
D. E.
It seems, perhaps like many shopping centres, to have gone down hill a little. Dont get me wrong, it is clean and well maintained but the lack of diversity in shops was noticeable. Many shops were closed or closing, and there was a distinct lack of choice when it comes to eating. This used to be my planned stop on longer journeys but I honestly wouldn't rush back, although the Ralph Lauren shop did have some great bargains, im not sure if it alone would make me plan a detour.
W. F.
Very poor selection of coffee shops with only two open and one to open. Bad layout of shops as the wind whips through the area creating an unpleasant coldness. A lot of money has been spent on the new shop fronts but the canopy has a design fault, when it rains it runs straight down onto the shopper's,it's almost like standing under a shower.
S. W.
The centre was smart and we'll set out, It is like most shopping outlets you see something you would like but the sizes on the rack are for either petite or fuller person and size 14s are rarely available.
P. B.
The retail park at Gretna is average for this type of place. There are the usual shops that you find in most of these places, new units have been built but remain empty, and there are empty units dotted about. The retail park itself is kept clean, there are plenty of car parks and toilets, and a kiddies play area. I would check online before visiting to see which outlets are still open, but we can usually find what we're looking for. Failing that Carlisle or Dumfries are near by.
j. j.
A great selection of shops and places to eat.with nice clean toilets at either end.loads of parking all free. A few empty units but hopefully when things get going again it'll be full and buzzing.
R. S.
I was really impressed with the Outlet Village and certainly wish we had something similar in Shropshire. The range of shops within the village and the prices for the goods ranging from trainers, cosmetics(my daughter advised me on these), clothes, nice nacs, sweets, the range of goods feels as though it is endless, gave very good reductions in price compared to high street stores.
The con instruction of the village was very impressive, appearing like a curving street, tempting you to go on and see what's round the bend. There are places to get food or just have a coffee. A really excellent place.
2. D.
A great place to stop and shop. It has loads of shops and have added some pictures below of some of the shops available. It also has a out door kids play area to keep them entertained.
There are public toilets at either end of the outlet.
There is also a subway and a few other food premises to get something to eat.
There is plenty of parking here and if is open to 6pm.
S. K.
New shops, missed a few of the others that have closed but still nice to have them all in the one place, easy parking.
D. B.
Quite a few shops not there since the last time I was there. But still a nice visit
J. K.
It's a nice place for what it's for Shopping. But not greatest for folk with Mobility problems. Could do with better shelter and seating outside shops.
R. M.
Used to be good to get a deal here are there when it was the Gretna gateway. Now it's all brands and out to make a massive profit like everywhere else.
V. E.
Great outlet shopping village good range of shops and food options. I will definitely be coming back here when travelling north
G. O.
Straightforward to get to with clear signposting. Disabled car parking plentiful and large bays. A large number of big name outlets such as Adidas, Nike, Clarks, Hugo Boss, M&S and Cadbury to name just a few. It wasn't massively busy at about 11:00am but numbers did begin to pick up. Not too many places to buy a drink - just a Costa and a pizza outlet. Toilets were clean and there were a number of them situated at strategic points.
C. W.
Good place to visit & pick up some bargains.
Shops have improved since I was here last.
Nice collection now to suit most styles. Good food offerings.
Also loved how many stores are now dog friendly & lots of water bowls out for the dogs.
Worth stopping as its ideal for a journey break or just a shopping trip!
We will stop here again.
S. M.
Rather than spending money cladding the shops, it would have been better spent on the truly appalling car park. You endanger your car's tyres and chassis even driving at 5 mph over the large holes in the surface and risk turning your ankle as you walk to and from the shops. The shops are as you would expect.
C. F.
Great selection of outlet shops and restaurants. Very good prices on named brands. Very clean facilities. Helpful staff well worth a visit
S. F.
This place has been spruced up and looks much better. Quite a few empty shops unfortunately. But still some good shopping to be had.
D.
Great find on my way from north go south. Needed to stop for a brake and stopped here. New wardrobe later feeling fully refreshed I was ready to continue my journey.
A. M.
Lovely shopping environment, all the staff were very friendly and so much choice of products at great prices. What's not to love?!
J. D.
The Caledonia Park outlet has plenty of shops for all of the family.
There are also plenty of places to get a drink.or eat if you need a break from all the shopping.
I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.
R. B.
Great place to go shopping and finding some bargings. Parking is free. Plenty of places to sit and have a coffee and something to eat. There are shops for all ages.
M. L.
Most things are here clothing wise and cooking and outdoor living and whisky and sweets. Do yourself a favour and save your coffee needs for Sally's of Warwick Bridge just 10 minutes south on the m6 to a69 and 3 mile east.
m. h.
Disappointing. Previous visits have been very good but this visit poor. Lack of variety seems to have gone for bigger shops. And where have all the cafes gone. Big place like that with i eating place. Not good.
W. C.
Always enjoy visiting Gretna Gateway Village. Only downside to my recent visit was that all Cash Machines on site didn't appear to be working which was a minor inconvenience.
C. G.
Small selection of similar shops, could do with more variety.
P. M.
We call in every year whilst on holiday in the Lake District. Always impressed by how spotlessly clean all of the facilities are.
N. C. Y.
OMG i just love Caledonia Park in Gretna just to the left of the Next shop. It has everything for Christmas plus a wonderful Cadbury's chocolate shop for all you choca holics and i did not realise that it has a wonderful Skopes Gents Designer wear shop ( i have been shopping online) when i could have just gone there. Also, the M& S and Next have a wonderful sale on as always, there are some beautiful cosmetic and perfume stores, and the local hotels do lovely lunches we should support them all at this time. The nearest petrol station also stocks WAITROSE organic meals so i am a happy lady. 10 out of 10 for customer servicer and the centre is absolutely SPOTLESS.
S. C.
The pub opposite gretna shopping village has Lovely beer, friendly staff. Can't say anything about the food as iv not eaten here so far, literally a stone's throw from the gretna gateway so perfect location for thirsy shoppers like me :)
P. M.
An OK place out of town shopping. Has most retail shops you need. Good parking and easy to get to
S. H.
Caledonia Park has had a 'facelift' recently and is looking good. The outside garden area with big screen, artifical grass seats and giant games( chess, draughts and dominoes) is a great addition.
Still short of really good eating places..
M. M.
Amazing place, great top shops on site.
S. H.
A smallish outlet mall with free parking and a reasonable range of shops, not that many places to eat. A bit bland looking as virtually every building is painted grey.
P. “. R.
Alot nicer place to visit now the restrictions have gone. Lots of shops from food, clothes, toys, etc. You can spend a few hours here if you wanted too.
r. a.
Great shopping area, loads of high branded shops and excellent prices, very clean throughout.
C. K.
Worth a visit if passing needs some better variety of shops . Slowly recovering I think from covid shut down .Will get better in time ..(hopefully)
P. B.
Good selection of outlets but quite a few were empty although some had information about which company was moving there.
A. G.
Good range of shops and food outlets plus free parking make it a worthwhile trip.
E. I.
Great shops good prices plenty eateries loads of spaces for parking.
J. C.
Lots of great shopping outlets and eateries. Great parking for cars and buses either at outlet or across the road. Open 7 days a week. 5 minutes from famous Gretna Green.
New #Lindt store opened this weekend, its fabulous (7/8/22) Also #KateSpade outlet, again gorgeous products. #MoultonBrown also a favourite.
L. N.
Some great discounted retailers.
We always stop here when going from Scotland to England and back instead of going to motorway services. Chance to stretch legs as well as get a cuppa and toilet visit.
R. B.
Great little shopping centre, called in at radley handbags, wife bought 2, saved a lot of money on them of course absolutely genuine. And a lovely lady who really looked after us. Go visit great shop and personal service.
S. K.
Nice place, not so much of a bargain to be had place though like it used to be.
A.
Always love a visit here when in the area. Good selection of retail outlets.
A. M.
Was lovely to see so many nice shops open for business
m. y.
Nice spotlessly clean retail park. Good selection of shops.
P. C.
Fantastic shopping outlet ...plenty of open shops! Nice to see! And not too pricy....
S. P.
A fantastic place to come and browse shops that have excellent prices on their goods. The nip across to Gretna blacksmiths and get married.......🙂
S. B.
It is really beautiful but busy, love the style of development. I would recommend and will go again if I am passing
A. D.
Good for variety of shops + quick snack or coffee. Easy to park and access.
B. K.
Great place for a stop off, something for everyone been here twice now for a break travelling and enjoyed it. Car park is the bug bear.
B. S.
Nice outlet but a bit of a mess while it's extended and new fronts all round. Standard collection of outlet village shops, didn't appear to be anything local.
Update Sep 22. New shops are open and site has been tidied up. Gets an extra *
J. R.
Just what you'd expect from a small retail outlet. Nothing spectacular but it was a nice stopping point on our long drive. I loved that every store we tried was dog friendly and there were lots of dog water bowls.
T. G.
A lot of the shops are now dog friendly . Very clean and looks great with the new look.
A. M.
Needs a few more shops but also to think is it an outlet or not. Some shops had no differences to other stores but still claim to be an outlet.
B. R.
Very much a high-end branded boutique. Would like to see more artisanal independent stores
J. L.
Great love the milk and shake machine. Plus more shops have just opened up
P. E. P.
You can get some good bargains here
g. d.
This is my favourite outlet as it has most of the shops I like, berghaus, boss, Nike, adidas, Ralph Lauren, sports direct, m&s, trespass, plus lots more. It has a couple of places to eat or have a snack. Good place to stop and stretch your legs if your on a long journey. There is plenty of parking at the outlet and there is a overspill car park across the road if it’s really busy.
A. S.
We stopped in at Gretna Gateway Outlet as it was the midway point of our drive from Cairnryan to Blackpool and what a stop it was!. We got there in the blistering heat and found chairs set out beside a play area (must to my toddlers relief). This was such a welcome chance to get out of the car and let our toddler have a play in the sun. The Outlet has a brilliant range of shops, is laid out really well, a good selection of food and is all super clean!. I cannot fault this place at all. We also stopped in again on our return journey to do some shopping and once again, we weren't disappointed.
m. r.
Very good retail park with a wide variety of shops, places to eat, and dog friendly too.
C. A.
Is my first time in Scotland and I'm so in love. The views and the weather is absolutely amazing, oh don't forget the fresh air is so different, is look like I'm not in Britain. It's awesome and love to come again to see different places.
A. B.
All the main Designers including Ralph Lauren, Nike and so on. Cadburys factory store is also here, even a Thornton's cafe
i. b.
Easy access. Good parking. Will almost certainly have what your looking for. And plenty of cafes to take in lunch or just a snack
R. M.
Don't think the refresh has quite worked but it's still a decent place to shop
G. B.
Some good bargains to be had. Excellent offers in the Cadbury shop.
S. M.
We visited Caledonia Park to do some shopping for our holiday and managed to get a couple of items of clothing each. A visit to the Cadbury shop was a must and I spent more than I should have! A few different shops have opened since the last time I visited but a few units remain empty which is a shame considering the money they have spent refurbishing. The only reason I gave the review four stars is because of the state of the carpark, there's some mighty big pot holes to navigate!!
W.
Out for a pizza for my nephews 2nd birthday whilst we visited gretna for his mum and dad's wedding
T. B.
Reasonable choice of outlets, busy at weekend, ample parking
C. K.
Enjoy visiting these outlets, and would love to see a few more shops in the area.
C. H.
Was lovely but wet. Covered walking would have been nice
P. B.
Some good shops but still a lot of units not in use
R. M.
A good selection of shops selling top branded goods at a lower price than the high Street. You will find similar goods cheaper on high street but not better quality. Its your choice.
C. U.
Great parking, there is something for everyone here.
G.
Great place to go shopping, with the majority of the shops dog friendly.
j. B.
Got some good bargains in one of my favourite shops Molten Brown xx
P. G.
Good place to stop for a leg stretch on way to ferry at Cairnryan
A. B.
It was very very buzy .We got parked in about 10 mins.We had a wander then it rained.Good selection of Shops, a Costa Cadbury .MS outlet ..
G. H.
Nice selection of shops.
Ideal for comfort break.
P.
Love it.
After the grim disappointment of the Gretna Green experience we used Google Maps to find this place and spent 3 hours here.
It is not finished yet so keep that in mind and is still pretty good.
A great range of outlet shops, free parking, clean, shiny and new, places to eat, was great.
Highly recommend a visit.
N. M.
Pleasant place to shop although many outlet prices not as low as one might expect. Major overhaul of the precinct area being undertaken so consequently some issues re parking adjacent but other car parks are available so not a major deal
J. N.
Good outlet shopping experience.
Ample parking and an array of premium outlet shops
Very few eating joints.
Good for quick shopping if you know which shop to target.
Not much activity based things for the kids.
k. c.
Some good shops with good prices, shame you need a 4x4 to navigate the potholes in the carpark.
Z. h.
Its nice but smaller and less deals compared to other outlet malls around UK
4. 5.
A good stop off on the route to Scotland with some interesting shops. Careful on the prices etc but some nice items if you look hard enough
L. R.
I really am unimpressed by Adidas that is there. They make up cheap item's just to make you think it's a national offer, but it's not. Most of the clothes they sell are just tack in my opinion of course!
J.
Another great visit. We love coming here to the outlet shops as you never know what bargains your going to get & everyone loves a bargain. There are plenty of stores if you look on their website and information. Free Parking and plenty of spaces!
It looks as if they are upgrading the buildings on the outside which is improving the look, it’s starting to look more modern as it was looking tired.
Pets are welcome!
I highly recommend visiting as their is plenty of choice for everyone!
Plenty of Sanitisers & Security Guards very welcoming.
S. B.
Still doing it up, couple more shops hopefully when all units are filled will be fab. Got kid area with TV and games.
J. C.
Why did they get rid of one of the best 'The Works' I have visited. There are too many empty shops. I don't know how some of the traders survive.
G. F.
1st visit since 2017 and what was the shopping outlet has been given a facelift. Very reminiscent of out of town retail outlets in the USA. Lovely selection of shops, very clean and good quality facilities. Needs more food outlets although we were told by one retailer that a food hall was going to be the next phase. Only criticism is car park. Needs resurfacing and spaces made for motorhomes & caravans which are now more prevalent and will make use of places like this.....I own a MoHo so that's how I know ;)
S. C.
Beautiful shopping village reminded me of a place we were in when visiting New York..
s. m.
Small outlet compared to Livingston or Mcarthy Glen at York but, there is a variety shops from clothing, beauty to homewear and places for coffee.
P. A.
Lots of shops and bargains to have but I went into a shop and the shies (apparently discounted ) were more expensive than at home
B. W.
A good variety of stores with excellent bargains to be found.
L. H.
Great choice of shops, plenty places to eat too
A. C.
Great we place plenty shops .
K. c.
Nice drive down from the Kingdom of Fife. Managed to find some things on the list, so reasonably successful.
S. E.
Popped in on way home from Scotland not far off motorway and would say it's worth a visit
C. M.
A good place to get a lot of household items at a discount. Quite a few empty shops these days.
V.
It is very small area but reasonable. Not a lot of eatery. Toilets needs to be updated. The staff are very nice and helpful. Wheelchair accessible and alot of disable parking. Ideal to go shopping very early to avoid the crowd.
G.
Clean and tidy place but the shops are hardly outlets the prices are no different to my local town centre shop prices shame as was so excited for this too 😔
M.
Great selection outlet of many different brands. Place has security guards.
A. W.
Lots of choices shopping wise. Restaurants expensive for what you get.
l. c.
Lots of empty shops not as good as it used to be, but still worth going
k. h.
Git some great bargains. Was a bit of a building site. So much work being done and the carpark was tint and nit in the best condition. Great choice in shop. Lovely and friendly staff. Would recommend a visit if on the area
s. a.
Very nice place where you can find perfect gifts for your friends 😊
w. g.
it's ok still abit dear shopping but you'll find a deal if you look hard enough 😜
S. M.
Great place for a wee shop for 🎁gifts and a wee lunch.
A. U.
Getting more and more like Gretna Green than an outlet village, can still find some bargains
d. m.
Good shopping centre clean Good service
J. G.
Good range of Outlet Shops. Bargains to be had!
S. G.
I shop here a couple of times a year and have found some real bargains. There are some great shops including M&S, Next, Cotton Traders and Pavers plus many more. The are a good range of eateries. When I was there they had an outdoor vendor selling Bratwurst and they were really tasty.
M. S.
Really nice shopping outler, spotless, and very dog friendly..
I. M.
Don't bother. Not worth the detour and it's desolate, shops are average, food and beverage offer very limited. Stop if you need the toilet!
J. M.
Great shopping,amazing value for money.
R. B.
Serves the village outlet very well. Parking can be tight at times, otherwise it does the job.
s. s.
It was great wandering around all the shops. The layout is well thought out and a good variety of christmas ideas for last minute presents at affordable prices, even when not on special offer. I will go back regularly to see what is new in the New Year. Merry Chistmas all.
I. R.
Great for a bit of retail shopping, can get some bargains
A. L.
Good range of designer shops also a few food shops, we had a tea and hot dog from one of the outside sheds reasonable price friendly lady who served us. Worth a visit
P. T. (.
It's been facelifted to give it a slightly Scandi fishing community meets hipster cabin, vibe. The effect is clean, but anonymous. This outdoor retail park could be absolutely anywhere in the developed world and has no references to the local built environment.
The shops there are a mix of the usual suspects, with a slight bias towards sports/outdoor clothing but some of the old favourites have either gone under or away. There is a reasonably good M&S outlet store.
The parking is good, the loos are clean and the surfaces underfoot are well maintained.
It won't make your heart sink the way some larger retail parks can but it does little to "spark joy" either.
a. M.
Very quiet, few top end shops
P. F.
Well weve been to a few of these outlets now,This ones one of the smallest but unlike some of the others this one seems to have enough parking for its size.As usual some good bargains to seek out in between the more full priced goods. Its in a good place to call if ure heading in and out of scotland on the M6/M74 as its good alternative to the motorway services as theres plenty of cafes tiolets and shops , no fuel though so maybe not an alternative to the services if your running low.
C. B.
I am the very first person to say if things aren’t right and if I’m not happy I don’t care about your feelings you’re paid to do a job and your job is to get money out of me.
Me and my wife and my sausage dog came to your outlet we was overwhelmed by how many shops allowed dogs in whoever thought of this idea is a legend everybody is going on holiday because everybody’s got a dog now because of lockdown you’re opening up shops to dogs Me and my wife and sausage dog ended up spending a fortune in your area well done to the shops opening up to dogs 👍👍👍
K.
Decent to pop into after a trip to Gretna Greens' main attractions. Nice that the place is dog friendly and some of stores kindly let ours in. There are several food options such as subway, Costa and a pizza express. Bargains depend on what it is you're looking for, but great to have a couple of hours of retail to kill some time!
s. H.
Very clean and tidy with lots of excellent shops
T. C.
A very good place to visit for shopping.
L.
Staff in all shops seemed very friendly & helpful. The majority of shops (inc cafes)are dog friendly & even give treats! It's also being refurbished.
J. D.
Been here several times over the years always on holiday when something has been forgotten. Currently under a refit but a good range of shops with friendly helpful staff. Good for an occasional visit or day out. Some of the brands don't have a very big range perhaps this is because it's factory outlet? Car park could do with resurfacing as it's very pitted & bumpy! We'll be back!
T. W.
Currently getting an exterior makeover so lots building work going on. However a good selection of designer stores at discount prices. Has good variety of stores covering all your shopping needs. Only 4* due to the shocking state of the road thru the carpark, but hopefully this will be improved after building work completes.
N. j.
Grate outlets good place to visit
R. C.
Nicely done. Management should be pleased.
M. S.
If there is sales you can get a bargain if not it's too expensive
C. H.
Excellent shopping, plenty easy parking disabled parking, all shops on ground floor, good cafes
T. D. D.
Nice for a wee visit. Works finally finished on all the shop fronts quite a few empty premises. Didn't see any bargains.
J. S.
To many shops for young people could do with ladies shops size 14 plus
B. K.
Good to visits, keep hold of wife's hand.
R. W.
Rebranded and a whole lot better.
J. C.
Good deals at M&S outlet store. Great shopping friendly staff. Adrienne at check out was really great.
Gap very dissappointing on Sales items.
Sketchers no deals at all.
Next some good deals but very out there designs. Overall a great shopping experience. Lots of queues for Nike and Subway. A mask is a must.
E. W.
A nice place to stop off for a wander. They were renovating the exterior of the retail units to give it the ‘New England’ look. It will be a great improvement! It almost feels like walking through an American shopping mall! Purchased from a couple of stores.
L. S.
Nice outlet shopping centre. It gets very busy now and doesn't feel big enough for the amount of shoppers but it looks like expansion plans are underway. It would be nice if they had a baby room for feeding babies rather than just toilets as there are only outdoor seating options, and only a few eating places, so that's not ideal. The designer outlet centre at livingston is better if going with children as its indoors and has all these facilities, multiple ones and more eating options.
c. S.
Nice outlet centre been refurbished really no negatives
B. S.
Mass produced food. Very disappointing. The scone was hard and dry. The scotch broth tasted like it was out of a can. No flavor. So unnecessary to represent the beautiful food of Scotland with substandard factory food.
a.
Lovely shops, very clean
J. M.
Always a good shop for bargains
J. M.
Outlet at Gretna Gateway, good if you like to rummage, I don't, so felt a bit messy. Clothes set out in sizes, but be careful as clothes may be on the wrong hanger. They do have a section with newer clothes, not end of range, which was quite good. Still managed to pick up a couple of bargains. Would go back, but be prepared to have to look properly at sizes
T. S.
The car park was quite full when we arrived around lunchtime. Fortunately the site is large enough to more than cope with many shoppers.
The number of designer shops is very pleasing. The layout of the site enables the shopper to complete a circuit of the shops by keeping left. Covid warnings and instructions are all around the place. Such is the similarity in many places, the warnings are not obtrusive. Mostly the warnings are adhered to, however as with most places, there are still those who don't understand social distancing. We enjoyed our shopping at Gretna Gateway, the sun was shining and many shops had sales ongoing.
L.
Undergoing building work and at the bottom end and its chaos. The car park resembles the surface of the moon. I've never seen so many huge craters in a road surface. It was shocking. On the whole the shops that were open were worth a visit. Management please get your car park sorted before someone's car suspension goes or worse still someone breaks an ankle!!!
G. C.
Not the best outlet village, maybe still suffering from covid. Didn’t get any bargains.
G. C.
Ok for a look round as we don't pass by here often. Prices are not any cheaper than the equivalent high street branches or online stores so I'm not sure why it's called an "outlet" village. It would be even better if they had more restaurants to choose fr for a bite to eat whilst there.
M. M.
Wow small compact ,great shops nice Costa, parking hard get early in.
J. A.
Very very clean and tidy, lots of outlet shops(cadburys was very popular with us).Plenty of places to eat and relax as well as a very large car park!Well worth a visit.!
T. W.
Good choice of shops but could do with another tea/coffee outlet.
S. F.
Good mix of shops and plenty of bargains.
G. L.
worth a visit if you like shopping
D. M. D.
Great choice of outlets here and is worth a visit. Looking for couple pairs of trainers. Great choice at the Nike store but ended at the Adidas store and bought 2 pairs at a great price. Some other great outlets there so, as I said well worth a visit. Would recommend.
S. N.
Have been here several times now and I really like it. Although it's an outlet place I don't find most of the items in the shops very much cheaper than the ones in town but it's a good place to visit and basically, all the shops you need, are there.
One of my favourite shops is hallmark, their Yankee candles are well below the price you'd pay in other shops and online.
There are places to eat there and the cadburys shop is also a must to pop into, well walking is tiring and you need something to give you a boost! Lol
They are extending the village so it will be interesting to see what other shops will open up.
All in all, a good place to visit, even if you just want to window shop and enjoy a coffee
D. W.
Very impressed at range of shops and goods laid out so customers not too close to one another. Car park looked very full but shops not too crowded. I'll definitely be back as only had time to shop in Radley outlet store.
C. G.
I always call in here from Scotland on the way back to Newcastle. Today was very disappointing albeit a bit construction work is going on. We were in and out in an hour. Shops not very good and a lot have gone now. Hope it gets better on my next visit!!
S. S.
Nicely set out. Lovely place. Lots of nice shops. We I'll be back
a. r.
Not as many shops as listed work going on too,
The next shop very nice large and roomy.
The village cafe huge nice selection of food
M. B.
Marks & Spencer shop great bargains something for everyone 😊 👍.
Next sale starts Saturday 10July so plenty bargains there as well to be had . Greta has sports shops . All sorts of shop great variety . You can even have meal in cafes as they are spotless. Covid safe go along and see for yourself everyone 😊 . Parking free. Had good day .
j. p.
Terrible, having all units refurbished at the same time is not the best of ideas.. Saying all stores are open during refurb, there not at all 40% are shut at least today Sunday when we went .. a total wasted journey. Massive fixed canopies there putting on every building come right down over the windows... Not going to be any natural light in the stores when done seems total waste of someone's money... Only one cafe open. Zero customer experience stay home..
W. D.
Delighted to see the outlet village has picked up again. Look forward to see what the new buildings offer us. Well worth a visit.
PS - bring back Thorntons - loved their hot chocolate shop!
J. M.
Great range of shops and all quite cheap.
G. S.
OK. Not may useful shops. Most of these shops have ranges deliberately produced for the 'outlets' so they aren't actually real discounts. But there are some true offers.
Ignore the electronic sign that says 'main car park full, use overflow'. The main car park had plenty of spaces after I had parked in the North overflow.
M. M.
Had a great few hours shopping. Once all the refurbishments are complete it will be a good day out. Constructive criticism..needs a better selection of eateries.
A.
Great place to stop for anyone who is traveling to England from Scotland and opposite.
Clean and modern toilets that are never in a mess like several other services. I know this place isn't really services but I just look at it as premium services when driving. Still make a nice day trip though.
The picnic benches are well laid out right outside subway and Costa Coffee toilets are there aswell.
Great to stretch your legs after lots of driving and to have a browse of varied shops. From a couple of sports stores to the Cadbury shop.
Would recommend to everyone passing or for a couple of hours visit.
G. H.
Nice place to spend some time, good selection of shops. Nice ambiance with ample parking.
N. D.
Had a bit of light retail therapy with my wife and granddaughter. It's a retail park with familiar names. Everyone was friendly and everything was clean and tidy
M.
Standard outlet mall featuring all of the usual suspects. True bargains thin on the ground. Construction works continue so perhaps we will get some new stores. Gap closing for good.
A. S.
Love stopping here on our way to visit family in Ayr. Perfect place for a break in the journey. Found the overflow car park this time and think we would use that again as it was quieter and easy to find a parking spot.
A. M.
Shopping is fairly good but it lacks a good choice of eating places.
m. h.
Sometimes great bargains to be had
J. L.
It does need to have some more shops. How it can claim to be the Premier Scottish outlet, pitted against the livingston center is a bit beyond me. However this is a nice place to stop and break a journey.
C. T.
Lovely place to visit, clean and friendly
R. G.
A lot of clothes stores and not a lot else, good prices and plenty of car parks, but unless you're passing through or going to Gretna you'd be better of going to livingston, its bigger with much more choice.
D. B.
Fabulous outlet great M&S there
K. S.
I managed to get myself a bargin so l was happy with my visit. Good choice of businesses to choose from.
C. W.
Bargains galore. Top quality products with huge savings All shops are well known brands, from Clothes, shoes, trainers, kitchen wear, sweets, makeup, perfume. This park has it all.
R. M.
Lovely to see Calendonia Park getting a refresh. Makes the outlet centre look unique and interesting. If you could invest in tarmacing the car park as well, that would really make the entire place look so much better. The font on your new branding is quite basic, but well done for trying to get away from the Gretna Gateway name.
I. A.
Shame too many empty premises and there are better roads in Ukraine than those in the car park, absolutely disgusting, the pot holes are bloody huge
S. A.
Always good to go to the Gateway. All shops open. Covid-19 friendly/safe. Good couple of hours out. Get there early if you don't want to queue for the Nike shop though.
K. W.
Good but not many food options
J. C.
When we arrived around 3pm on Sunday there was plenty of parking. Also good that the majority of the shops we wanted allowed dogs on
P. H.
Very busy. Car park tight. Try to avid peak times. You can park across the road or on the North car park. Good choice of shops. Good prices. M&S sale on.
M. C.
Yeah it's a shopping centre! Clean tho!
E. V.
OK, didn't find much inspiration
j. p.
Various high street and designer shops. Needs somewhere to eat.
a. a.
Shops a plenty but not what I went shopping for
P. B.
Nice little coffee shop. Big area to exercise your dogs.
S. B.
Stopped for coffee at this place on this occasion no time for shopping but do like to shop here.
j. s. b.
Great for a stop off on way doon South
M. C.
Not a huge place. A lot of empty stores. Was nice for a wander if you've been driving a while.
C. M.
It was.ok but when we visited most things where shut and being done up, sure it will be much better.once done up although it's not the biggest of shopping centres
L. P.
At the time of our visit in July 2021 the outlet village was in the process of being revamped, which looks as if it is much needed. There is plenty of parking available but the site needs more catering facilities.
G. R.
A very nice Norwegian style shopping centre. The buildings are beautiful. The shops are all discounted. Definitely recommend.
G. A.
Friendly people, good location.
A.
A nice wee hidden designer outlet with boss superdry nike addidas and more well worth a visit and its nice and clean
M. H.
Excellent school shoe shopping as per usual. We'll worth the stop when driving north. Lots of building work going on but, it is still a good collection of shops.
A. W.
Good choice of outlet stores and places to eat
B. S.
Lots of construction going on, but it will be amazing when it is done. Really helpful staff patrolling the site with "ask me" badges pointed us exactly where we needed to go! Thanks!
J. 9.
Slowly getting back to its prime. Was much better 10 years ago
D. F.
Excellent unit with lots to keep you interested. A few good cafes including Thorntons. Very good toilet facilities. Only one problem if it rains you get wet as it has no roof on the walkways. Car parking is excellent.
J. H.
Nice place in Gretna to shop, eat, and enjoy an afternoon. Recently expanded. Hopefully some good shops will come.
L. R.
Enjoyed looking around the shopping area
D. M.
Nice outlet with a good selection of shops
M. C.
It always was a popular destination but lots of work going on to improve it. Big face-lift. Definitely worth a visit.
P. G.
Undergoing remodelling (2021) but sizable and free parking, with an array of stores along several pedestrian avenues. Some stores closed down, but choices of shops such as clothing, hardwares, footwear, and a few cafe's/eating options. Friendly and helpful staff.
J. H.
Lots of half big name outlets that didn't seem to be very busy, not really very interesting.
K. h.
Lots of shops and a lot of the are dog friendly
J.
Great shops. Great value recommend
C. A. (.
The Park has a variety of brands on site, with free parking. The staff in all the outlets I shopped at were very friendly and helpful.
w. B.
Had a great breakfast here. Staff very friendly.
s. s.
Good bargains to be had from last seasons range. Suit shopping in particular is easy and practical due to number of outlets.
C. M.
Went here to find a bargin and i did ! a good selection of shops here, with eateries too.
Dog friendly i noticed as i walked through ,seeing many people with their pets on leash.
Very busy place to go.
I found the car parks very busy though, i also found i had to drive around a couple of times before i found a space, think the car park could do with parking men pointing out spaces that are available .
Though apart from the parking i enjoyed my day walking round this pedestrian friendly outlet .
S. P.
Lovely location and very clean.
S. R.
Good shops, easy lay out, large car park
s. h.
Lots of empty shops no where special for lovely dresses to choose as two important lady shops have gone nothing to choose for wedding or special nights out a big miss the whole place and yet I get it must have been expensive to set up but all I want to do is throw a bucket of colour to it to cheer it all up very bland did not inspire us at all .won't stop us coming but we buy less sorry but you did ask .
D. M.
We went there for a day out shopping for Christmas. We are in level two so it suited us fine and legal to travel. To be honest it was like a morgue, but easy to navigate shops that were still open. We still got what we wanted, but some shops go too far with Covid rules. It's like regressing to the old communist system where you form a line at every shop. After just short of a year it's starting to get on my nerves every visit to a shop, with new rules every week.
J. L. (.
OK lots of shops empty but was OK. Would not go out of my way to go there
C. C.
Stopped off on the way to our holiday destination. Place looked scruffy and tired, and well in need of the facelift programme it has started. The car parks were busy and fair few people about, but felt covid safe.
Most units have companies operating in them which is nice to see after the lockdowns and covid restrictions. Found some good bargains as expected in an Outlet village.
L. M.
Very quiet, some empty lots, but the ones that are open are good.Denby sho has some good prices.
T. M.
A little disappointed not as many shops as I thought though new buildings going up one looks like the housr of bruar if not them them somebodies copying . The Gap store was shutting down so Limited choices . A few other stores closed as well . And a few buildings going through transformations . Definitely wouldn't rush back
N. M.
Always a good day out.
I live about 50 miles away and make the worthwhile journey maybe once a month for thr bargains, relaxed atmosphere unlike city centres, and abundant free parking!
You never come away empty handed and always have a great day out!
Would highly recommend and will always visit!
The new restaurants and shops under a small expansion are a much needed improvement and maybe some more expansion would be nice.
Would highly recommend a visit if passing near!!!!
A. J.
Quite quiet during this visit. A lot of work going on with refurbishment and new shops opening. Worth a visit.
R. S.
Nice place, plenty of designer shop brand M&S and next clearance stores picked up some real bargains. Worth popping off the motorway if you are passing
G. A.
Great place to meet, eat and shop. Undergoing some improvement works, the car park surface could do with some attention. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
L. G.
We spent a couple of hours here on the way to gretna green
a. g.
Good little outlet village near motorway. Stop here instead of services
P. H.
Easy to find and lots of parking available. Refurbishment going on at present so a few shops not open either temporarily or permanently. Personally I was disappointed in the choice of shops but lots for the younger shopper.
P. D.
Well organised for Social Distancing. Still quiet a few shops closed. Very polite man at the Entrance which is next to the food outlets, telling us that this was the Entry point & that the Exit point was next to M&S. Great idea to keep social distancing organised.
Lets hope the shoppers come back in droves & support the businesses.
C. W.
Not much there wanted to leave after 30minutes
V. S.
It was a real treat to go around the outlet
C. E.
Worth a visit. Shops are outside so not good in bad weather, it was sleeting when we were there so we were very cold. Parking is easy, could do with more eating places I think, those that are there are mainly snack food - having said that it was between Christmas and New Year so I guess they would have different menus during the year. Really easy to get to and some good bargains as well as some stuff that was just not worth buying.
L. L.
Nice place to visit for an afternoon, looking good as being updated. Good selection of shops with more coming.
A. H.
Good range of shops with plenty of choice. Could have spent longer and spent more!
M. W.
Great place for shopping if you like that sort of thing. The shops have some good bargains if you look about. There always seems to be empty shops but that's like anywhere nowadays. There's is loads of parking. My only fault is as a wheelchair user some of the slopes are a bit steep unless you have someone pushing you.
B. O.
Good variety of shops.
s. C.
they are still working on the place but it's nice that dogs are welcome.. and welcome into some of the shops....Could do with a little map of the shops on which accepts dogs being shown
a. e.
Plenty of parking and a great selection of outlet stores
a. y.
Loved the new look , I haven't been that way for nearly 3 years
D. E.
A good spot to pass an hour or so but I don't feel like there were that many choices of shops to go in.
P. T.
Always love stopping here on the way up to Scotland, plenty of shops at great prices, it's having a bit of a face lift at the time we went last so it'll look even better next time we visit
S. T.
Good stop off if you're in that area, not as big as others but dog friendly in public areas and in a good proportion of the shops. Easy to explore the village as well leaving your car there, don't know about the restrictions though so look at the signs.
D. W.
Quiet mall. Some great shops
B. R.
Opens 9am and only Costa open for earlier food although other attractive restaurants. Huge car park and not too far off motorway. Good range of outlets and reduced prices on known branded goods. All outside so 3 star for winter visit although all shops warm.
R. C. (.
A wee walk about here with my Lovely Girlfriend
L. H.
Happy for dog friendly stores
M. A.
Nice little shopping village!!
C. S.
First visit today in many many years. Great variety of shops. All staff we came across were HAPPY and Helpful, a rare thing these days. Took mum for 85th shopping treat and had lunch at Masserallas. What lovely, lovely ladies. Definitely recommend!
L. J.
Nice little outlet. Free and plentiful parking. Not busy when we visited on a weekday, staff in the various different shops we browsed in were all friendly. Not as large as some of its English counterparts but this made for quite a relaxed, shorter, shopping trip. Particularly enjoyed the Next Outlet, The Works, Thornton's and The Body Shop. Would call in again if in the area, however its not one where you can 'make a day of it' , only a couple of cafes and a Bella Italia for a meal.
B. R.
Lovely place to go get some good products at good prices nice we run to get out for day too a we 230 mile round trip but worth it plenty disabled parking too
J. R.
Nice place, lots of shops
S. D.
Really enjoyed being here the diverse shops were very good in my opinion. Lots to see and great free parking too.
They even had a big Cadbury chocolate shop. Clothing shops including country clothing with some surprising Harris Tweed jackets which looked superb, the quality was outstanding. Friendly staff in shops, plus cafe and eating places all in the Gretna outlet.
Managed to get socks of great quality which are not the usual being so tight they are not for normal people type socks where your circulation is battling to fight past the top part of the socks!
If anyone feels the same re socks, look for the socks with label stating non restrictive.
R. F.
Plenty of car parking.
Plenty of shopping, however overpriced, easily get these cheaper online and on high Street.
E. C.
OK but have modernised too much.
D. S.
This seems popular but I'm not sure why really. There is no atmosphere at all, the shops don't seem to have any real bargains but the Pizza Express was good - especially on the Government scheme for 50%! A few dough balls made me forget I had to go shopping afterwards.
F. B.
Only stopped off for a short visit as a break from driving but did buy a few pairs of trainers from the Nike outlet (at a good price) for the kids. The wife was impressed by the M & S outlet whilst the kids and I had a (fairly pricey at £3.50 each) ice cream from Thorntons. Did taste nice though!
S. L.
Great selection of outlet shops all with reasonable prices. Plenty of cafés and eating places to keep you going. The whole area is very clean and covid precautions are being fully followed by all staff. A very pleasant shopping experience with lots of bargains to be found.
N. L.
Excellent (free) parking, also free toilets 🚻, etc.
L. S.
Ample parking, they have recently constructed another car park off site but literally across the road. A good and diverse range of shops and cafes to give you a quick coffee break with tempting cakes or a lunch break. The area itself is clean and spacious, making it an ideal place for disabled people to shop.
M. B.
Great place to go for shopping. Not so great for food outlets but there are a couple of options.
C. C.
Nice stopping other than Services for a drink and snacks and a look around.
M.
This place is absolutely great for tourists stopping by (which me and my family came here for), and high quality shops. This Outlet Village is COVID-19 safe because it has hand sanitizer literally everywhere inside the area. It is a very clean outlet village too because of the amount of tree-friendly bins. I would recommend this place, but... some of the buildings are old.
M. D.
This is not the biggest retail park but it ain't bad for it's size. Plenty of parking available over two huge car parks.
We were pleasantly suprised at the prices in many of the stores, far cheaper than we expected. And a good number of places to eat to keep you fuelled...
J. D.
prices aren't much different to high Street prices, some are even a little mote expensive. have changed the shops around and there isn't as much variety around, mostly clothes shops
T. S.
Nice little outlet shopping village. Perfect for a couple of hours stop whilst on a long drive from the Highlands as it is just off the motorway and has plenty of parking.
m. t.
Went here today to buy school shoes for my daughter got home to find out I dropped my wallet, over 150 pound in it aswel as my credit card drivers license and bank card phoned the management office to find out the security woman working there had handed it in cant thank her enough for what shes done for me. Great to see there are still honest and helpful people out there. Not one for leaving reviews but this woman deserves a medal
L. (.
I enjoy the range of shops here & visit a few times per year. I'm not a shopaholic & go when kids & I all need stuff. Easy access, good parking & cafes & restaurants so you can have a break. Mostly focus on sports clothing.
L. O.
Love going here for the day. Always plenty of bargains to be had. Also nice places to refuel with food. Really liked the Village at the bottom. Although late in the day, we still managed to have some lovely hot food. Will return here on our next visit.
W. W.
I dont like clothes shops
#ksivsswampz
N.
Nice enough outlet village. Some of the shops are veryyyyy expensive. But decent
P. H. J.
Not much atmosphere, need more seating, bettet food and drink outlets, shops ok, some good prices but ranges limitted
K. R.
As we live not too far from here we are regular visitors. They have shops to cater for just about anything you need. Plenty of places to rest for coffee, a snack or something more substantial to eat. My advice; go, have a day out there and enjoy. Don't forget to take your Dosh as there are plenty of bargains to be had.
r. P.
Good place to visit.
L. M.
Great choice of shops.
W. W.
Plenty of shopping to be had here. Nicely laid out and kept very clean
B. S.
A change of name from Gretna Outlet Village to Caledonia Park. Shops still there but now looks like a building site with all shop fronts being replaced with standard cladding. Variety of brands has disappeared.
The car park too is part of this building site - just one continuous pot hole.
No longer a looked forward too stopping off point on long motorway journeys.
Maybe there's a shortage of materials as excuse but sadly can only describe the current situation as bit of a mess.
I. S.
This was the first time that I had been here on my own and I surprised myself as I am usually very nervous when alone. I took my time and everyone was very friendly. I had to buy some Christmas gifts and this I successfully did with time for a Costa Coffee too. I was glad to get back to the car and I looked back on a successful lone outing before going to meet a very good friend returning by coach from a long cruise. The shops at Gretna are many and varied with good value to be had in most. Worth a visit.
P. W.
There's been a bit of building development since we last visited. It looked to my eyes at least, like the place is being given a Scandinavian feel, which is still in the throws of being carried out. Shop frontage etc. We spent a good half day Xmas shopping and enjoying the food on offer at the various cafes. A food quarter is in development which will add to place becoming an attractive destination place.
A. G.
Great shopping experience!
L. D. m.
Great bargains, if you live nearby I imagine this is like a second home. We bought 2 pairs of shoes and only cost 60 quid
P. K.
Great place to break up the journey as I was heading from the south of England back to Glasgow, great Costa coffee cafe with clean and tidy toilets, only criticism is state of car park tarmac, very rough and potholes everywhere.
B. K.
Well catered for with plenty of free parking and a wide range of you usual shops, places to eat and coffee shops. Well maintained toilets. It's a well run and maintained version of the standard retail parks across the country with an emphasis on discounted outlets.
M. M.
Great visit, much better than Fleetwood but not as good as Bicester.
J. R.
Everything you need.plenty of shops to pick from all on the flat.stores inside and out side spotless.toilets clean and fresh.would recommend anyone to pay a visit.
G. W.
Very nice shopping village, plenty of parking.
d. n.
Bit to busy and there were nice shops like Cadbury
R. N.
Better since the expansions. Never understand why they didn't design a roof over it. Good selection of shops. A few more quick eateries/ a convenience store would capture passing drivers as trade
N. B.
Great variety of shops and eating places
A. A.
Not bad if you like outlets, a discount M&S some outdoor and sports shops. It lacks good places to eat of sit down for coffee. Having said all that, it is a good facilities for the local, mainly rural, area, and I popular.
T. M.
Great little Outlet site. All the usual Outlet shops giving reasonable prices over their high street counterparts. Parking is ample, simple and very close to the shops. Food outlets are plentiful but my favourite is Massarellas coffee shop. Great food at reasonable prices. I've never eaten something I've not thoroughly enjoyed. And the staff are friendly and professional.
D. K.
Stopped off to visit on our way to blackpool. Stretched the legs and use the toilets. Very well laid out. Easy for my wife's mobility scooter quite flat. Nice if weather conditions are good but if raining not so good.
G. J.
Good selection of shops for browsing around but definitely not any cheaper than what you'd pay on the high Street to be honest.
N. @.
Fantastic place, just a nice size to stroll around, got some good bargains and the staff in all the shops are lovely and friendly 😀

Seems nice but very busy, lots of renovations going on. Crowd control could be better as lots of people were there, some controls in place for Covid
L. H.
Quite disappointed at the small selection of shops
B. C.
Had a great day shopping here with my partner ..lots of bargains to be had and staff in shops were so friendly and helpfull will definitely be returning soon xx😁🛍🛍🛍🛍👛👚👠

Great stop off on route north. BERGHAUS store Staff, namely FIONA gave excellent customer service. Went above and beyond. We called in the shop not long after it had opened. My husband saw a pair of trainers he liked but did not have his size. FIONA said delivery due soon she would check for us. We said we would call back before we went back to the car. She came and found us as we walked around and my husband got the trainers he wanted . Excellent service good value trainers. Well done Fiona

Was a bit disappointed as there didn't seem to be anything I would have wanted to buy. It seemed like it was the place that stores send their old out of stock items that they cannot sell to.

I went about 6 weeks ago and found it to be an enjoyable experience. We had a meal, Pizza's and then shopping. The staff were very friendly and helpful and very aware of the problems.

This is a very nice, modern, reasonably sized shopping outlet with a good variety of shops and tearooms/cafés. Easily accessible just off the M6 northbound or A74 southbound. Plenty of dedicated parking with overflow car parks for busy periods. The car park right next to the outlet centre has quite narrow spaces so, if you have a big car you will find the spaces in the overflow car parks more generous.

Should have given 1 star the amount of money my wife spent. Undergoing a lot of alteration work so looking a bit shoddy, but bargain's to be had.
R. D.
Ok but security wasn't helpful my mother can't walk properly and I asked which was the easiest way and he said any it turns out if we would of went to a different exit it would of been easier so customer service 1

Good place for a break and a walk about, the gift shop is our favourite, and always buy something from there as got great prices

Not got a lot of experience of outlet villages, but this has a modest choice of shopping - M&S, Nike, to name a few. Access is good from M6, and plenty of parking. Plenty of lunch options. Can fill a couple of pleasant hours.

We chanced upon this outlet as we were leaving Gretna. Is relatively small compared to the outlets we have and parking was tight and not a large car park, luckily we were midweek as on a weekend I bet it could get frustrating trying to park. Decent choice of shops.

What a lovely, clean shopping outlet eith a good mix of shops. Toilet were very clean

Nice surprise free parking, free toilets, visible security. Some shops offered better deals than others . Some covering against the elements plenty of coffee shops to relax after a bit of retail therapy .

It been a couple of years since we last went here quite good day out for a bite of shopping somewhere different as I'm from Glasgow would go back

Plenty of discount shops at decent prices. Always a bargain to be had, well I say that, but it's only a bargain if you already wanted the item. If you go to buy something you did not plan to buy then you are spending money you did not plan on spending so you spent more than you intended so is it really a bargain? I don't want to get into a whole philosophical discussion, it's just shopping.
This is where I buy my shoes!

Nice little small outlet village in the first town in Scotland. Deals are to be had but I find some visits are better than others. This to me is all part of an outlet village and surely looking for the deals is all part of the fun! Always seems well kept and has been constantly improving since it opened many years ago. One plus for me is that it is never mega busy during the week so comes in handy for relaxing shopping.

Good afternoon out shopping

Good selection of outlet shops
R. M.
Good dicounts, bought shoes, clothes and sweets

Car park surfacing appalling, holes, ruts etc The shopping area surfacing was uneven with huge puddles. Very rainy visit. Not happy

Definitely worth a visit.

Had an amazing day shopping all staff in every shop was so helpful and nice but I really need to give a huge thank you to the lady in the cosmetics company store
J. C.
Nice to pop in & stroll around all the shops at leisure. Great selection, varied, some of the shops are very reasonable, where as others are still priced just as their high street branches. We go there regular as there is a good rotation of different stock.
G. R.
Easy to find, easy to park, helpful and friendly staff in all the outlets we shopped at! Especially Molton Brown, Cotton Traders, Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Pizza Express. I'm not a natural shopper, but enjoyed the day!
B. T.
It's currently being refurbished and the queues for anywhere serving food were quite long when we were there. Fortunately there was a stall selling pies from the Little bakery Dumfries who saved the day.
S. B.
Good variety of shops and not too large a place that you get lost trying to find things, clean and well kept. Loads of FREE PARKING as there are extra car parks within a 2min walk. Good place to spend a few hours.
L. T.
I love the choice of shops and prices are great as it's a outlet but it's very let down by not having enough food places. You can que for over a hour for a table at the 2 places they have to eat which is crazy! They definitely need more food outlets here.
M. L.
Great choice of shops and good value too.
C. H.
This is a good stop just on the England Scotland border for anyone who wants to stretch their legs on a long journey but wanting to avoid motorway services. Good selection of shops as well as coffee shops and eating places.

Parking spaces are abundant and it’s free to park too. As for the village itself, there’s not as many stores as I’d initially hoped for. Accessible toilets with baby changing facilities too. Stores are somewhat varied ranging from Superdry to Boss to The Works & all are within a matter of feet from one another. It does claim to have 50 stores but I reckon there’s quite a lot less. Disappointed with this seeing as I travelled over 90 miles to go there however it was a nice drive! If you’re relatively close, definitely go and visit. I wouldn’t make it as an entire day trip though as it seems fairly desolate right now.

Starting to get more and better shops. Definitely worth a visit if passing
D.
Some nice shops, pretty much your typical 'designer shopping village'
P. M.
I had only spent a little while here as i was travelling in the coach to Blackpool and this was a designated stop/rest point on the way down and then back again towards home but it has so much to offer and clean toilet facilities.I managed to get a few things on bargain prices so was a Happy Bunny that day, even had a nice lunch but the only thing was it was a while to wait as it's a coach stopping point and with all the people service can get to long in certain places and finding a table firstly can be the even trickier bit
B. S.
Good range of shop outlets. Village Restaurant really god and cheap. Ideal place to eat and drink whilst you're here.
Z. R.
Always good to go for a wander around, I'm not a big shopper but this I can take, nicely spaced out and good shops.
M. K.
Amazing outlet with a wide range of shops to suit all budgets and shopping needs. a great place to pick up a gift for someone or treat yourself.
Great layout and the area is well kept and very clean and tidy.
Would highly recommend a visit to everyone passing through the area.
R. C.
Nice place to go, good selection of shops and grub. Will be back.
G. G.
Too many shops closed and lots of disruption caused by upgrades and building. Still some good bargains
M. W.
Nice cheap shopping centre apart for the Nike store, and plenty of free parking,,,
P. M.
Decent selection of shops.
M. K.
An excellent shopping center, with a good variety of 'outlet' shops, many designer shops and a good variety of places to stop and eat. There are plenty of parking spaces, also disabled spaces and its not far to walk to the shops. There are some outside steps but there are also ramps for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
Anything purchased from these shops MUST be returned here, eg. if something is purchased from M & S outer store you can't return it to a normal store.
M. B.
Enjoy shopping and usually a snack. Very pleasant area easy access and many bargains to be had if you look.for the things you require. Helpful staff and clean toilets available.
A. L.
It may not be as big as some of the other outlet villages, but it does have a good enough selection of high street brands. Spacious and decently laid out. The only gripe is that on a really busy day, there is not enough parking lots to cater for the number of customers.
A. C.
A lot of closed shops and new units built. What was available was on sale. The feeling of stock clearance and close down. OK for a browse.
G. H.
A good selection of stores with a number of food outlets also available. Lots of bargains to be had throughout the complex. It is not completely under cover but there areas to shelter from inclement weather running both sides of the "street". With Christmas coming it is certainly worth a visit.
P. M.
Good place to be for a battlehardened shopper, like my wife, lots of bargains, hurt me in the wallet area but kept her and my daughter happy and amused. My son however was stuck with me sitting on benches waiting on the women, at least he has had a small taste of what's ahead of him - married life waiting on the wife.
G. M.
Average, undergoing a face-lift, Next very poor, Marks and Spencer ok if you are small or XL, poor choice, Pavers ok the rest not worth the trip
E. B.
A nice day out but not as good as it used to be. Some empty shops but some good ones nonetheless. Cadbury shop the big disappointment, no cheaper than anywhere else. Our favourites being Hotter, M&S, Trespass, Denby where great prices are always to be had. Would recommend going on weekdays, not nearly as busy as weekends and a lot more relaxing way to browse.
C. F.
Love my visits here
R.
If I was not in the area I would have been very disappointed if I had travelled specially to visit. Appears to be having a make over. Are the prices low!?
F. S.
I always find that everytime I visit the Greetna Gateway Outlet Village, I learn some new, find some shopping bargains and above all gain some really good advice from each retail outlet, I visit.
Today was no, as it was close Valentine's Day, I had a mission to accomplish very quickly ( as it was half an hour until the outlet village closed, at 6 pm- in winter time)..Unfortunately it was a little too dark for photographs to be taken on my basic mobile phone, but I will add some on my next visit, for sure :)
I need not have worried I got everything I needed, staff were very understanding, as I have a visual & slight ĺearning disability, they even read product labelling for me to make safe purchases.
I came away from the outlet village with more than I intended :) , but safe in the knowledge I will be back again shortly & somebody somewhere in the world is going to get a surprise gift on Valentine's day :)

Was very busy. The rain came down and they allowed people not queing for the shops to shelter under the canopies meaning shoppers had to qué out in the rain.
S. H.
Always worth a visit
