h. s.Jack and James really took the time and effort to help me replace an item that had a 2 year warranty and had almost expired, I was missing my receipt as well.
They dug the invoice up for me, made a few calls and managed to get an approval of replacement straight away for me. They went beyond my expectations. Thank you. What a team, keep it up

A. W.There is usually an experienced member of staff in store to offer advice, and I've found the fish to be generally in better condition than other stores in Leicester. I've bought a pretty vast amount over the years, and most fish have thrived apart from one batch of Cardinal Tetra which didn't seem very healthy. However the Discus, Blue Rams, Zebra Loach, Rasbora, Shrimp, etc have been good.

m.Absolutely excellent service from these guys. We had an issue with the lighting on our fish tank, previously purchased from them, but we had no proof of purchase. Even so, they sourced a replacement part and did not even charge us. Outstanding customer service. Highly recommended.
M. B.This place has a large selection of fish and each tank is labelled with notes on how best to look after each type of fish. The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly, they are always happy to help and will ask questions to make sure the fish you want are right for your tank. The quality of the fish here are also far better than other "pet" shops I have tried in the past. Maidenhead aquatics is the ONLY place I will get my fish from now.
A. H.Really extensive (in fact massive) choice of fish, hardscape, plants and all things aquatic. They have genuinely knowledgeable guys working there who are happy to help and suggest stocking options and tanks for beginners.
Unfortunately, I noticed that some of their Betta had severe Ich and we're still for sale. Fair play to them, they pulled them as soon as this was highlighted. It does happen and it is very busy in there at times.
They carry a lot of fish that other shops don't and have a superior choice, so they are worth a look.

A. A.Great store. Staff know what they are talking about, don't push products and know about what stocking will work. They won't sell you anything inappropriate if you ask for advice. The best part is they have a large range of fish, many that no other stores in Leicester have. The staff are also happy to get fish in for you if they aren't stocking what you are looking for.

A. C.Myself, my husband and my children are always made to feel very welcome everytime we visit to the Maidenhead Aquatics store at Leicester.
All of the staff are charming and helpful.
As a Cichlid keeper with multiple tanks that contain many different varieties of Cichlid, I particularly ask for one of two members of staff for help.
I believe their names to be, 'Thomas' (tall gentlemen with tattoos) and a Lady, who I believe goes by the name of 'Emma-Leigh' (long curly hair).
I find that these two people in particular have good knowledge and understanding of the different Cichlid species and how to keep them.
There was a recent occasion where I was genuinely appalled by a member of public and her behaviour in this store.
In this event, a member of the public used some particularly offensive language towards a member of staff, who was clearly distressed, also in the presence of small children.
I believe this kerfuffle was caused by the customer, an immature older woman who I witnessed (and I will happily write a statement about if needed), leaning over the young member of staff who was trying to scoop fish into a net.
I heard this member of the public trying to manipulate the rules of 'No choosing individual fish while social distancing measures proceed' By telling the member of staff that she wanted individual fish for her two year old son.
This member of staff tried her best to get different fish but the older woman was not happy.
Of course this was taking up time and I was waiting to be served by this member of staff in particular.
I witnessed that this young member of staff was trying to explain to this woman (who should have known better being approximately in her late 40's), that there were people waiting (I was one of them) and it was becoming difficult and was clearly uncomfortable with being leaned over, as stated several times. This was when the older woman called this member of staff an unpleasant name and then, being too upset (as I would have been too in said situation) I was not able to be served by this member of staff, who I was hoping to seek advice from.
Therefore, my only criticism about this store is that there should be no exception of foul language and rude behaviour towards staff. It is just damn right rude and disrespectful.
The public NEED to be more aware of the fact that rules are only there to protect ourselves and eachother in times of Covid-19.

p.These guys have helped me develop my marine fish hobby for the last few years.
They are informative and honest about my fish choices and will help me plan for the future as well as making suggestions for things I haven’t seen but I may like and will go into my tank without causing hassle with the current fishy residents.
Having traveled around for fish advice I can quite happily say this is the best fish shop in a 20 mile radius and I am pretty sure I have been to all of them!!!
A. T.They have a great range of products for your pond or aquarium. From live stock to plants and equipment. The staff are very helpful albeit a little scarce at times when you want help or to buy something. All in all a great place to visit on a Sunday afternoon.

I purchased my new fish tank recently from these guy's and James was the gentleman that assisted me and answered all my million plus questions and even helped me to my car as I was on crutches.
I live in London so after setting up the tank the light was not working in the tank. Rang up the store and James helped and advised me to go to my local store which was Enfield.
The employees there need to learn how to speak to humans or have a non customer facing job as they were very rude and not helpful what so ever. I will never set foot in there again.
Called up James again and he willingly got onto the distributors and shipped a replacement part to me directly and i'm yet to install the part.
Credit where credit is due James had great customer service. Made my experience so much better and delivered in a way I would not of expected.
When in Leicester again, happy to spend more money 100%

V. M.Based inside 'Palmers Garden Centre' it was a bit of a hidden gem, the guys especially Matt was very informative of all knowledge fish related but Inc how to incorporate new fish into my tank. I had basic knowledge going into fish keeping but he was definitely helpful, I plan on going back an getting more. Definitely a 10/10 (the image is my tank not 1 of theirs)
