En route to buy a car, stopped off for refreshment. 3:30 Cafe closing so went to Pie, Eels and Mash restaurant. Really nice Mash and Steak mince pie with gravy and the Eels and Mash was superb. Well worth the stop over.

I'm impressed by this little shopping arcade. There's a good bakers, an eel and mash shop which looks good, two charity shops selling nice stuff at reasonable prices, Waitrose (quite a large one) a café which seems to be permanently busy and various other establishments. The public toilets are, um, ok, but take your own loo paper. Car parking is excellent. First 90 minutes is free then £2.50 for six hours which I think is very reasonable. If you use the app, which I do, be aware that although the mobile repeater pole is but yards away the reception can be appalling. I've ended up with a £70 fine because the internet dumped my payment and I didnt realise. 😳

Went to drop-off goods at the charity shop then had lunch in Aunt Sally's. The food and staff are nice, but the place is very noisy and was a job to hear people when they spoke.

Goood, safe distancing practices being used outside shops, just a shame some selfish drivers can't park properly and take up two spaces for their precious 4x4s or Mercs, unfortunately there is not a car park attendant to monitor this. Overall good place to shop

Parade of Shops consisting of Waitrose. News agents fish and chips, Lloyds pharmacy, a vets. Parking is confusing as disabled bay sign says no concessions for blue badge holders. Then a bit further on the wall says 3 hrs Free parking. On checking it is FREE for 3hrs. Pay machine is inside parade of shops near Waitrose. Also mobility centre and Allington Library close by.

Urban historians will love the Mid Kent Shopping centre. It's a genuine 70's gem, totally unspoilt and featuring a well preserved tiled fresco. And handy for Waitrose, too!

I visited the Waitrose store in the shopping centre. My visit was mid week and there had been 3 days of snow and icy weather. The car park and walkways still had enough snow and ice on them to make walking tricky for many people. Normally I would rate the centre higher, but could not on this occasion.

I haven't been able to access the supermarket in the centre since the commencement of pandemic. They dont provide any additional facility's for disabled people to use. There is frequently an uninviting queue before you can enter Waitrose. This is difficult for someone with certain mobility issue and unable to stand for any length of time

Waitrose was a delight, helpful staff and wonderful food. The deli counter has a super selection of cooked meats including their organic Duchy ham carved off the bone. Highly recommend with a touch of mustard or with a crispy green salad salad in a freshly baked bread roll.

Don't use the public loos: they're a health hazard. They stink and the one cubicle's seat had excrement splattered on it as well as all over the bowl. Rolls of toilet paper were soiled and on the floor. The business I was visiting told me they've reported it several times; they did so again while I was there; response: "I'll make a note of it." I've reported them in writing to Environmental Health, chased it up, and have still heard nothing.

It has a post office where you can click and collect x waitrose x hairdressers x charity shop really nice family run cafe x and dry cleaners x a Chinese a shop that sells beds etc chemist fish and chip shop vets and a beauty salon which I take my granddaughter to once a fortnight x loads of free parking Oh yes a mobility shop I expect I have left out a few x it's clean and safe
