Reviews of Newnham Court Shopping Village
t. s.
Lovely selection of plants and gifts, some are a bit pricey, however the plants look well cared for and healthy. Great selection indoors, some lovely seasonal bits and pieces. Pleasant and friendly staff, very helpful.
Would be 5 stars but a bit short staffed and a long wait to go through the checkouts. 😀
K. W.
Went to Notcutts where I renewed my membership for another year. Very good service, fabulous choice of spring flowers, but other plants in general for this time of year. Always nicely laid out. There is a cafe but I have never used it for refreshment and plenty of other shops at the centre.
T. M.
Had a lovely lunch, bit of shopping for the garden then bought a fab dress for a wedding I'm going to, shoes too 😃 Lovely venue, friendly staff, lots to browse.
The worst part? Having to walk past those amazing cakes on the way out and not buy them 😆
M. H.
Not been here for a long time, nice as ever and got some new lights for the garden - but posting because the have a new butcher in store since our last visit. Excellent offers and a great selection - have made space in the freezer to go back and stock up!
P. U.
A pleasant couple of hours. Good food in the restaurant, but very busy, and I detest the IKEA style pathway through the garden centre from entrance to exit. Much prefer to enter, go direct to the restaurant, then leave without being forced to visit every department before escaping.
J. S.
Booked last minute and we were lucky enough to get a table. We had the Sunday roast the lamb shank, OMG it was amazing. Generous sized portions
G. D.
Maidenhead Aquatics, even though the location is a new requisition the standards of fish and Aquariums is top notch. The staff are knowledgeable and eager to assist with either service or allowing you to squeeze information from their own experiences. Andy the manager and his Team will show you the most compatible fish for the tanks or tank you want.
d. j.
Absolutely love this place. Especially around the Christmas period. We mainly went to look for indoor plants etc. Certainly worth a visit
b. d.
The coffee shop could do with having some loos installed otherwise the coffee and rolls were great
P. B.
Loverly peaceful garden center plus extras..
J.
Loved visit. Great selection of plants. Outlet shops. Easy to find
K. K.
The store has great selection but they definitely charge you randomly for the things you buy - I went there twice and paid a very different price for the same things.
T. S.
First visit here, fantastic cafe, had great meal, large portion and very tasty.
D. S.
Car cleaner here is good and Notcutts is ok for your gardening needs and various other shops here too
T. R.
Lots to look at been going for years now, they have a butch shop which looks good value, they have some independent shops so well worth a visit
R. P.
This is a really good shopping centre something for everyone even your pets. Beautiful plants and garden furniture, lovely clothing and nice things for the home and when you have finished shopping and ready to pay you walk through a fantastic display of cakes, biscuits, jams and sauces, not to mention the lovely sweets and chocolates. Friendly and helpful staff available in all areas. Great shopping experience.
H. K.
Not your ordinary average garden centre. Just about everything you’d ever need for a jolly festive Christmas.
Dog friendly except for the café. So much to see and all very tempting to buy.
N. B.
Was able to take the dog round here while we looked at the huge amount of plants , always on the expensive side but I think we all know that before we enter . .
d. j.
Very nice place but the rest of the shopping village not that good 😀
E. C. (.
Newnham court is a nice little shopping centre but the best time to come is at Christmas because the Christmas shop is absolutely amazing it’s an experience in itself and the santa and reindeer are amazing for kids seriously do this with your kids at Christmas
G. G.
Went for a look for some Christmas inspiration. Underwhelmed, it's just OK. Nice for a wander but a bit overpriced, especially the Christmas decorations. Strange smell of used cooking fat came from the cafe inside so didn't bother stopping there. Stopped at the small cafe outside and pretty mediocre. The singing reindeers were the best bit!
K. R.
Visited Runners Need which is now part of the Cotswold Outdoor shop.Had gait analysis on a treadmill before buying some new trainers.
J. L.
Lovely place to shop kept clean and tidy. You can easily spend the whole day there and not get bored
N. J.
A wide array of items, from gardening supplies and furniture to stuff for home. Certainly worth a visit if nearby.
S. D.
Principally a garden Center there are quite a few shops around the establishment. In my opinion not greatly laid out so grab a (Google) map and you will be well on your way
M. H.
Much improved garden centre since our last visit. After searching other local garden centres without success, we got exactly what we've been looking for at very reasonable prices. Excellent selection of flowers and plants and they all looked very healthy. Didn't visit any shops but could see there is a varied selection there. Has a tea shop as well.
P. L.
Good displays, lots of parking, stuff for the garden, some cloths, shoes, fish and a good cafe. Sadly no lawnmowers
J.
Nice place to spend some time. We went to runners need and had great service in there, then to Notcutts where we bought some lovely gifts. Very nice area, lots of different shops, has a vets, and a pub and a coffee shop too. Great amount of parking. Temporary traffic lights on the main road bit doesn't delay too much getting into it. Straight off the motorway too.
J. D.
Could be better layed out. Difficult to find way out. Seemed to be all mature people shopping
J. G.
Had lunch in the pub there, excellent food and good draught beer. Friendly service too. So, why only four stars? The plates. Too narrow to be able to cut food without some of it ending up all over the table. Yes, it looks good dished up on that style of plate but; just try cutting into a baguette or well stacked burger on one of them. Impossible! And if you pick up a burger, prepare to have loads of dressing poring onto your lap because there isn't enough plate to catch it. BIG mistake.
D. T.
Bought running shoes here and had good shopping experience. Plenty of shops and parking.
l. b.
Nice for a browse, some good little shops... Aquatics shop is cool, be warned of traffic on the road approaching as it builds up both ways..
L. S.
Nice place to go for all your plant and garden needs. There's a food hall. Clothes stalls and plenty more. It has a good variety of items. The only thing I'd say are there isn't a lot for those with a budget, most of the items there are high end, there's not much in the way of affordability. I do like it though. There's other shops near too, a hairdresser, pub and Chinese amongst others. Plenty of parking and close to the motorway.
D. L.
Went to Newnham court inn, nice food and great Staff
J. L.
Nice shopping but not too many shops. Nottcutts decent
A. W.
Lots of different businesses on site & if looking for something a bit unusual there's not a bad selection.
P. T.
Lovely dessert in the garden on a sunny evening, polite attentive staff
J. H.
Very busy due to the Christmas decorations etc but a good atmosphere around the shop, went to the restaurant where the ladies I know we're working hard but they should have got a better system at the ordering paying counter as they didn't seem to know what each other was doing, was given our breakfast but no toast was bought out so we had to ask for it...I did buy some Christmas goodies and would revisit later in the year when maybe it's not so busy.
A. A.
I went to the Cotswold shop where staff are always pleasant, and knowledgeable about their products
S. M.
Stopped here for some lunch, good simple menu reasonably priced. Clean and tidy with very friendly staff. Covid precautions are still in place which made me feel comfortable enough to want to return when next in the area
m. M.
Nice selection of shops
. Not busy.
M.
A nice garden centre with plenty of extra shops inside. Getting in and out of the centre can be a bit of an issue due to the one way system outside. Also it could do with a farm shop there too.
D. S.
Yeah... its OK. A bit overpriced but that seems to be their thing
C. R.
Plenty to see and do here. Good outlets, very good Notcutts Garden Centre. Nice place to spend time, and money!
Coffee Corner, wonderful food, helpful and friendly service. Recommended.
I. B.
Good quality plants but quite expensive. Good choice if you are happy to pay a bit more. I was disappointed with the rest of the shops. Not really prices or things that I wanted to buy.
P. B.
Brilliant! Garden Centre aquatic, Edinburgh woolen Mill, restaurants, great Xmas dept, coffee shops and other restaurants on the site. Quite simply could spend all day here 👍
A.
From plants to pets and lots in-between, a worthwhile location to visit.
J.
Great range of products , although on the higher side of price
B. Y.
Reasonable sized carpark, though some spaces were at angles which made it hard to park for larger vehicles. Shop was clean with a good flow from shop to shop. More on the expensive side though several shops had a sale on.
L. “. H.
I was going to the vets there and they are brilliant
P. S.
Was impressed with what I saw today - staff in cafe and in shops we had time to to visit were all very friendly and efficiently run
P. P.
Nice garden center with lots to look at. Large plant area. It has a restaurant serving hot meals, snacks and cakes with hot and cold drinks. Various shops on site including EWM, Klass, Hammond's so lots to see and do. Free parking and car cleaning service.
L. W.
Great Garden centre amazing Christmas displays and lovely cafe the best cake and apple pie 😊
C. C.
It was ok , not a great deal for me but I think many would find this a useful place to shop
A. M.
A good variety of shops in one place to get items for your home and garden. Plenty of hand sanitizer stations and almost everyone was keeping good social distance.
Will be better once the cafe reopens.
K. P.
Great shopping/ garden centre it is not too big and has a lot inside. My 2 year old loved all the Christmas decorations. It wasn't too busy either. Well worth a visit
M. R. (.
Curious layout can be confusing. Don't expect a single building like Lakeside; it's kind of part way between that and a smallish industrial estate. Check what shops are onsite before you come.
M. S.
Lovely place lots to look at. Could spend loads here. Staff friendly only criticism is staff I cloths shop there could be bit more tactful!
A. C.
As the current rules in regards distancing all was good. I only wanted some veg plants so a little disappointed as they did not have many. So got some nice garden plants.
t. c.
Well stocked shopping location garden centre
S. F.
Had an excellent meal out to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday! Staff had put up balloons and decorated the table ready for our arrival. Everyone wished her a lovely birthday and were so friendly and attentative. Nothing was too much trouble for them! Absolutely brilliant!!
M. M.
Not really worth bothering with unless you want to buy garden items
S. C.
It was ok but not the experience I expected from the TV advert.
J. d.
I love this garden centre but there were just to many people around the Xmas decorations area, probably should have people staffing the social distancing rules , also one 1 till open , still a great place though
M. R.
Although it doesn't have the most comprehensive range of stores the ones there are always helpful. Nottcutts garden centre always has a seasonal range in seems to have everything you'd need for a garden. It is the main part of the shopping village but lovely.
G. B.
The place is well designed and there is plenty of parking. The staff team are competent, experienced and thorough. Since the change in the management of the practice (2018) prices have risen and occasionally, appears to be unnecessary. However, most knowledgeable practice in the area with many years of experience behind it.
G. T.
Christmas dinner was lovely, though the veg might have been better for a bit longer cooking (hence the 4 stars, not 5). Prawn cocktail starter was delicious. We had to wait ages, but sort of expected that given that the place was very busy. The servers were friendly and charming, and that made all the difference. Would recommend.
T. N.
Just popped in for a coffee ended up buying a pair of trousers and a visit to the garden centre loved the singing reindeer!
K. L.
Great place for a shop. Great range of items for the whole house and with the additional stores close makes this a super visit. Huge car park available which is a benefit to the centre. There are a number of food outlets here too so no need to go elsewhere. Prices are average for the shops but bargains can be found.
L. K.
Great Everyone so friendly and certainly christmassy look out for the singing reindeer 🤣
The restaurant really good too.
B. C.
Excellent value! The food was great, staff were really friendly. Service was so good our food arrived before our drinks! Really loving the new look inside -much more classy! I really enjoyed trying the new homemade lemonade! Brilliant all round would deffo recommend.
D. T.
Visited garden centre, they take cash and card. Restaurant card only, not good if someone has been made bankrupt and does not have bank cards. Also what happens if system goes down? Which has happened in the past whilst using facilaties. Cash will always be needed and you can keep track of it.
S. O.
Is a real mixture of shops and outlets. Lovely gardening centre as well. Easy to park for disabled users but quite a long walk round to the main entrance. Lovely coffee place and nice area to sit outside.
L. W.
Had not been for a while enjoyed looking around it can be quite expensive. Love looking around tho. Especially nearer Xmas wonderful displays then.
M. S.
This place is a little bit like me. Dated, tired and showing its age. Many of the smaller more interesting shops that were inside the complex have gone and it is all a bit soulless these days. Add to that the nightmare that is road access and it is becoming harder to justify a visit.
D. i. B.
It is a beautiful place to visit, the prices in some shops are a little expensive but in general I quite like the place. I especially like the pub. The food there is delicious and the staff are friendly.
c. d.
Lots of great Christmas items, concession stores helpful and lots of plants. Plenty of accessible parking.
s. r.
I always enjoy going here ,there is lots to look at ,great plants and a very nice restaurant toboot, had a cooked breakfast, Mmmm.
J. P.
Lovely garden centre. Good shops including a selection of great food. Always has gas in stock
L. G.
I've always liked spending time here, especially at Christmas! They have a lovely selection of goods for the garden and home, plus other stores like Edinburgh Woollen Mill & more, for clothes, gifts etc.
Bricks Coffee House is a great place to stop off as well. Helpful staff all round & a nice atmosphere.
D. M. R.
Lovely garden centre xx
O. M.
Love a walk around, so many products stocked, a wide range of goods. Not just a garden center, there's other shops and restaurants here. Well behaved dogs allowed on a lead.
S. B.
Love Notcutts. Felt totally safe whilst shopping. And a good range of all plants which you can see that they have all been cared for.
L. L.
We visited the centre today after our meal. The centre is bigger than it looked from the outside. There is a huge amount of Christmas items to purchase, the display of items where really lovely to look at.
The centre has something for everyone from plants, fish, clothing, cafe, food items and more.
Worth a visit
M. R.
Not as good as years ago, Christmas used to be amazing here, in comparison, bit much there at all now.
G. P.
Closest thing to a Xmas Market really well done.
G. G.
Lovely garden centre with outdoor furniture, there's a pet section, craft shop, gifts, clothes, toys and groceries and a cafe/restaurant
O. R.
Newnham Court is a great place to go for a walk if you are old, easily accessible from the motorway and there is no stairs making it easy for less able people to visit. In Newnham Court there are many shops, including a garden centre, an aquatics shop and a wheelchair dealership. You could easily spend hours browsing the wide range of items here. But the highlight of the centre is the Noble House Chinese. It is the best Chinese in all of Maidstone. I would always recommend chicken balls but everything they serve is lovely. 10/10 Chinese and an extremely good set of shops.
S. F.
We visit quite regularly to go the restaurant. It's really changed over the years, and I have to say the prices are quite high I feel. The air conditioning needs improving in the restaurant as its always hot in there.
S. B.
Not as big as I thought but massive garden centre and lots of different shops selling gifts that would be great for xmas and birthdays. Good parking .
D. A.
I use this as a stop off from London to Dover, dog has a welcome break & I, a coffee.
Shops are ok seems a friendly place 😊
T. T. T.
Simply THE best veterinary treatment and surgery there is. That's why I travel 30 to go there. The level of treatment and care is second to none, I've used them for over 20 years.
M. “. P.
Took the nephew here today. Got attacked by multiple singing reindeer and needed up having to buy toys. On the plus side brought large amounts of cider and a funky shark cup. I suppose you could look at garden stuff.
C.
Lovely place to look round on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, whenever I've needed to ask a garden related question, I've struggled to find anyone. Last time I was there, I was looking for standard roses but the few they had looked half dead. When I finally managed to find a staff member, I mentioned this to him. He looked very offended and then preceded to tell me a list of things that I could do to stop them looking half dead! Sorry but when I'm paying for these things (and their plants are quite expensive), I expect them to actually look alive, not to have to take them home to revive them! On the plus side, they have a beautiful Christmas shop and some really interesting little shops inside. Very wheel chair friendly.
D. H.
Always have a lovely Xmas decs section and displays here. Cafe has been updated, v nice service, good selection and reasonably priced. Excellent. Time flew by!
G. W.
Good stock of plants, only one cane conservatory suite to look at which was disappointing, but good service at checkouts with a member of staff directing you to next available cashier
C. L.
A great place to do some specific shopping, like gardening!
a. s.
We loved it we wood go again
A. H.
Interesting and varied choice of outlets. Garden centre is large. Cafe is ok but their watery hot chocolate and awful coffee spoiled the visit there. Plenty of parking and adequate toilets.
C. J.
Lovely garden centre lots of plants laid out neatly and not that expensivnice outlets a very interesting place to bit large car park with free parking
S. B.
I enjoyed this place. There's a lot to see, it's a shame the prices seem to be hiked up so much.
However their plants are great, they have a large variety of flowers, shrubs, trees as well as plant pots, various garden seating and statues.
Inside there are a few different shops, clothing, homeware, pet/mainly fish and pet food shop, a bathroom place and a little cafe too.
Outside there are a few other coffee shops and the day nursery, etc.
It's quite a big complex with something for most people but be warned nothing here is 'value for money' or 'cheap' if you're looking for a bargain look elsewhere, there are very rarely any sales on anything. The plants are sometime double the price you can get them in other places like Homebase, but on the other hand, it's a nice place and takes a good hour or so wander around so it's a great morning /afternoon out anyway.
Also sometimes they have an ice cream stand outside and for an ice cream with a flake its £1.50 so not too bad, plus theres usually a seafood stall too.
R. B.
Was at car wash again, good lads, nice job again on my truck. Will be back again for my weekly wash.
T. B.
Got what was needed. Not to expensive
A. N.
Good selection and plenty to see. Good staf assistance
G. B.
I found when I got to the till after a long time as there was only one till op she wasn't very helpful as I am hard of hearing I do have a badge on I fill the staff need to be trained in people skills
J. S.
ALWAYS GOT THAT BIT BETTER GARDEN FURNISHINGS
R. R.
We have been to newnham court on many a time and always found there Christmas side of things is lovely plus all the other thing are well worth a look at as there is always something new we came away after spending £70 a lovely place but it's not all open it's well safe
R. W.
Good garden centre and has a good range of other small shops inside.
Found out this is the site that shows the others how to do Christmas. .. Yes it's September and you can buy Christmas trees and everything else now...
J. J.
Different feel for your shopping. The setting is completely merely different than a modern shopping. It have all the village experience from the garden centre to retail shopping. They have a good cafe and restaurants around. A silent place in middle of Maidstone.
B. R.
Living in chatham and only having the Pentagon to shop in.. this is hands down a better place to shop with only having to get a bus and not a train for a decent/safe shop!
S. S.
Cafe great place for breakfast. Car wash good value for money
Lots of choice for different gifts for special people. Not just a garden centre. Would recommend a visit
M. C.
Not a bad place in a bit if a lull as between seasons
G. D.
Very nice, but not as good as previous visits. Worth a visit.
C. B.
I find it a comprehensive but pricey garden centre although if you are lucky bargain sale plants when they are no longer to their standard. I've got a few orphaned plants from there.
a. W.
Still the same old place not much changes prices sometimes a little high new aquarium area nice but small too many fish in one tank. New shoe shop again nice but a bit pricey other than that its ok to visit
S. V.
Good range of shops and nice feel to the place. Easy access too,the only downside is realising how to turn out of the access
K. R.
Lots of variety in what is available for shoppers. Always an interesting experience and lots to draw your attention and entice you to stay longer. Nice cafés and garden centre, Chinese restaurant, hair salon, vet next door, motability shop, camping, clothes, gifts etc etc, plus pub restaurant. Bet I've still forgotten something!! 😀
T. E. M.
Brilliant. So much to see and so much shopping to choose from. If you've not been their, go out of your way to visit. You won't regret.
J. E.
Ample parking and lots of items to select from, is a bit of a maze getting to the checkouts, saw several pensioners in there that had been going round for hours lost
J. L.
Love the pub restaurant.
J. B.
Great place to stop for a coffee and buy some plants. Good range of wild bird food. A few nice little shops inside. Pet shop is ok for pet food and advice but I wouldnt buy anything living from there...always dead fish in the tanks and the live reptile food is more often than not dead and rotting. The manager is helpful though. Unlike Wyevale also worth noting this centre isnt dog friendly.
k. e.
Great coffee and cake. Have had take away to get fix. Be glad when back to normal and can sit inside and have cake and coffee.
Y. D.
Visited Pavers for shoe buying. Good selection, except my size 3, but very pleasant and helpful staff.
D. G.
Nice range of products, good in summer or winter. Really disappointed at the exorbitant price to visit Santa in his grotto. I remember when stores provided this without a fee!!
H. M.
Seemed like it was smaller than past years I visited with not so much choice of goods to choose from so left disappointed
O. E.
Good successful shopping trip
D. B.
Nice pub and restaurant 🙂
c. m.
Notcutts had what I wanted, loaded on trolley, then almost gave my self a prolapsed gut hauling the trolley round the ridiculous maze to get to the checkout. Apparently no short cut, tho a staff member did offer to push it for me. Bless him.
B. M.
Lovely garden centre and Briggs cafe on carpark a good place to have refreshments too
J. W.
Brilliant place for all kinda of goodies. Fantastic quality of flowers, clothes and animals. The hair dressers and sports shops too. Fantastic pub across the way also. Highly recommended
J. T.
Quite a good shopping area, mostly taken up by the garden centre. There are other shops/outlets but they require a walk to access them. The area also boasts a take away and resturant. Also a vets that caters for out of hours emergencies.
D.
Ok but VERY expensive why would you spend £265 pound on a Christmas tree " you must be loopy"
j. p.
Very expensive. Staff not knowledgeable about plants. Variety of shops within nottcutts building and on site.
L. T.
Great for parking, went to the garden centre every thing safe and socially distant lovely plants and I bought some fabulous pots
S. C.
Don't go into the Mobility shop with a walking stick unless you need to, they will think you've nicked it off their shop floor. The rest of the place is fine.
E. S.
Saturday 14th, I went to nottcuts to buy my bedding flowers. They had loads of beautiful flowers all ready for mothers day .
M. B.
Great place to visit for your garden accessories & plants. Also an outdoor store
Coffee shop & eateries. Great for meeting up with friends or just browse about & chill
L. S.
Good range of businesses, mostly full of pensioners.
L. B.
Nice to look round but so expensive however I did have a very nice ice-cream I prefer Dobbies or if I'm over near Pembury the Newnham Court shop there the restaurant is so great especially their scones and they have a butchers as well
W. F.
Always have a lovely choice of most products. A little disappointed as they were obviously clearing out old stock/displays in preparation for new which made it difficult to get around and find what I wanted .
s. s.
Great place to do shopping for more than just plants and garden stuff - needs to have cafe outside or overlooking the garden centre - it's in the middle of the shop - great food and service providers just needs to be more open?
K. M.
Ample space to maintain satisfactory social distancing (in 2020) and a decent variety of shops in a compound with a two way in/out system.
D. W.
Nice big garden centre
A. A.
Easy access from M20, junction 7, and has large carpark with free parking. There are several retail outlets including a good Cotswold Outdoor. Within the complex there are two food outlets, one a pub restuarant. Largest and main part of complex is a Notcutts garden centre.
V. C.
Easy parking and access, also a very well laid out store.
K. F.
Some things are expensive.
P. W.
Great food, company, and service, even on a midweek night, with the nearest pub closed for a refurbishment. Staff were limited but they coped brilliantly. X
M. I.
Really enjoyed spending some family time here especially feeding some fish.
L. W.
Great Christmas display of goods, as well as having loads and of plants outside. There are many different types of stores within Newnham Court from a pet shop to a clothes shop.
L. T.
Free parking, good garden centre with a small selection of shops. Bricks coffee shop is a lovely, friendly place to stop for cuppa and a piece of caje.
C. A.
This time of the year with all the Christmas lights etc on display it's very nice. Always have lunch there always very nice and value for money
S. M.
Great Place, the TV advert sounds like they are singing "unicorn shopping village"....." Newnham Court" "Uni-Corn" ? Is it just me, surely not? If that's not enough, the buildings look like they have a unicorn horn....(tumbleweed)...just me then ;)
D. S.
Beautiful Christmas displays. Plenty of stock and numbers were controlled so felt very covid safe.
s. b.
Lunch was cooked well and well presented at a reasonable price. Christmas grotto was a bit compact to get around. Difficult if in a wheekchair
A. W.
I find Newnham court a popular area. There is something for every one there. If you are a gardener notcutts is a good place for all your garden needs. Plenty of good resturants, clothes shops and a mobility shop for wheel chairs etc.
S. K.
Just love the place. Just needs better signage from the round and larger entrance exit.
J.
No fault of the centre but why after all this time do so many people not understand two meters space? Not talking about young families but older couples who take up the whole aisle and will not move
C. B.
Great place very popular...lovely garden centre....Happy pleasant staff
Z. R.
Nice to stroll around or do your shop good selection of gifts for all your garden, pet and personal needs and a great hand car wash on site
A. Z.
A little subdued and depressing right now, the restaurant is closed, and they're doing more with the outside spaces which isn't helped by the constant drizzle of England in November.
P. K.
The staff are brilliant and the food good what's not to like !
M. D. D.
Plants nice, very pricey. The place looks tired and in need of a good paint job and a clean up. The restaurant is in dire need of being fetched up to date
P. W.
Nice afternoon out looking for garden furniture and plants and a few food outlets with a pub in the grounds
J. H.
Poor selection really for what it claims to be with some stores looking tired and unloved. Garden centre prices are high end so make sure you have lots of money because you will need it.
T. G.
Very very busy today. Brilliant Christmas decorations 😀

Built around a Norcutts garden center, Newnham Court includes a number of different types of outlets including chains such as Sweatshop and Cotton Traders. Home improvement companies such as Fine Line, extensions, are also on site as well as display and departments for fitted kitchens. Cafe, restaurants and coffeeshops. Norcutts itself sells a wide range of goods not just relating gardening.
Free parking. Pleasant way to spend a few hours wandering and window shopping though not particularly cheap.
R. P.
Great place to shop gardening, sheds even running shoes too name a few. They always have there Christmas area out early and every thing here is of great Quality......
C. M.
Despite those businesses closed due to lockdown, always worth a visit. Takeaway drinks, etc. from Briggs Coffee House.

A bit pricey but, always a treat to visit. Lovely selection of plants in the warmer months and nice Christmas bits when it gets cold.
S. O.
They are social distancing well. Staff are informative and attentive. Overall a pleasant shopping experience
M. B.
Standard garden centre with a few extras added on, same complex as a couple of restaurants and decent parking. Nothing to get hugely excited about but nice enough
J. K.
Nice relaxed atmosphere to shop in but undergoing refurbishment at the moment
P. K.
Reasonable garden centre which has gone a bit downhill in my opinion. Used to have an amazing Christmas display, now very average and expensive.
S. D.
Been visiting this place on & off for years, and sorry to say the absence of a few stores now has taken effect... Miss the radio controlled model store & pet shop within Notcutts, whom we still visit for a couple of free coffees...
T. W.
Plants very expensive compared to other local nursery were you can get the same stock at literally half the price, but good place to pick up compost, etc.
A. C.
Took my grandson to see the Christmas Grotto and was very disappointed with the display this year.

It's a lovely place, lovely staff, and always a great place to kill time. A real shame the pet shop has gone and it does not seem to cater for people of a younger generation
M. P.
Took a look around last Sunday. So much going on! What can't you get here? Xmas decorations section was mayhem...some good value items and some expensive options.

B. W.
It's like a maze, couldn't find the exit. I've been trapped in here for weeks, existing on leftovers the local rats leave behind. Nobody can see me as I have a camouflage hoody on.
At night I sleep under the gas barbecues. By day I roam the aisles of bushes, sometimes stop by the paving slab section to see Eric the water vole. He is lonely.
I am hoping that someone will read this and show me the way out. It needs to happen soon as the man on the hot tub stall keeps throwing me out and I'm desperate for a swim.
D. N.
Always good for a browze around. Some prices at little bit more than you should pay. Cafe ok.
A. L.
